FOOD COMA
I hope everyone had a nice relaxing Thanksgiving. How was the tryptophan coma? Did you really eat THAT much pumpkin cake? What an amazing holiday it is ......based entirely around eating as much food as humanly possible! I did my fair share of damage and the Precore machine is gonna get hit hard today. Jen and I spent a fun day with some friends (both sets of parents don't live in LA) after a morning movie (Quantum Of Solace - don't bother) and had a great time. And now its back to work, with the first Roxy show just days away! Unbelievable. Seems like we only just decided to do these shows and the first one is upon us. Just to recap, Camp Freddy are playing four shows at The Roxy throughout December - each Tuesday 2nd, 9th, 16th and 23rd. Tickets are just $20 and are on sale now through the Roxy box office and Ticketmaster. We are doing the same thing as we did in May - four shows with different set lists and different guests at each gig. It's already crazy, with some great people lined up to jam with us, so make sure you get your tickets. We also have a private show on the books in Chicago next weekend so December is a busy month for Freddy - just how I like it. So before it all starts kicking off next week, I have arranged to go shooting today (its been a minute since I busted the guns out) with a few friends, and I'm looking forward to blasting the Thanksgiving cobwebs outta my head with a few well placed blasts of a shotgun. But first......let's go get the cardio out the way! See ya soon.
Peace
Billy

THE MUSE IN ME
OK boys and girls. The tickets are now onsale through The Roxy and Ticketmaster, and at the wonderfully festive price of $20 too, so treat yerselves to some yuletide rock n roll. We are now crazy, of course, putting setlists together and reaching out to our friends. We intend to blow the roof off the place every week. Again, I strongly advise buying the tickets in advance as we cannot guarantee any walk up tickets being available. So what else is happening in MorrisonLand? Well, I have had my head down, working really hard at a couple of screenplay ideas! Yes I know, I don't have enough on my plate already....but one that my wife and I wrote has been picked up and we are actually putting the 'package' together as we speak. That's a movie industry term for throwing shit at the wall and hoping it sticks. Haha! It's a lot of fun and as always, when there is something to tell you, I will let you know. For now, just imagine me surrounded by note cards, cups of coffee, two laptops, tons of paper, books and research materials, scratching my head for another way to describe a scene. It's a fabulous creative process and I love it. A couple of parties, a business meeting or two, and a whole bunch of phonecalls aside, thats been the last couple of weeks. We are close to finishing the second idea, and then I will be full force back to music. Enjoy your AMA Sunday. I think I'll hit the movies (my name is Bond. James Bond) and hang with my wife. Who (by the way) is now officially a lawyer!! So speak to my attorney!!
See ya.

CHRISTMAS WITH FREDDY
I am pleased to announce that Camp Freddy will be repeating our wildly successful Roxy Residency series and will do four shows during the month of December. The shows will again be at The Roxy on Sunset Blvd and we will again be promising four different sets and four completely different line ups. The shows will be every Tuesday during December - 2nd, 9th, 16th and 23rd. The shows in May were all sold out so I strongly urge you to buy your tickets in advance. They will be on sale at The Roxy and Ticketmaster this week. Our favorite rockers, Drive A will be opening the shows and we will let you know more details as we get them. I wanted to get this up here so that you guys stand the best chance of getting tickets. Here we go again!

ROCK AT THE STANDARD
The new rock night at The Standard Hotel on Sunset Blvd kicked off a couple of weeks ago, and I will be spinning a few tunes tomorrow night from about 11.00pm onwards. Come down, drop my name at the door and you will be whisked inside before you can blink! Haha. Should be fun, so support real rock music, come down, have a drink or three and enjoy the sounds of loud guitars in a club. A rare treat!

BOWLING FOR CHARITY
The VH1 Celebrity Bowling event last night in Hollywood was absolutely crazy!! So much fun, ridiculously packed, and completely out of control. At one point, a guy that was in our lane stepped up, threw the bowling ball about 15 feet in the air, straight down the lane and put a hole in the side of the building!! I mean a serious hole in the wall!! That's what happens when you pack a bowling alley with a bunch of musicians and their friends. I couldn't stop laughing. And it's a good job I can play a guitar cos I sure can't bowl for shit! A couple of strikes (complete luck) and a couple of spares peppered my illustrious scorecard, in amongst a bunch of zeros, ones and twos!! Hahaha. Never mind - at least Team Camp Freddy looked the part in our ONeil tees. Our guys down there threw together a nicely designed bowling tee shirt for us and our friends. Thanks Garth! I have one left (an X-large....its BIG!) and the first person to comment on this post that wants it can have it. I have a day of meetings ahead, so its off to the gym before that. Outta here.
*** Nice one Beth! Email me at info@billymorrison.net and give me an address and I'll have the shirt sent asap!
Peace

ALL QUIET ON THE WESTERN FRONT
It seems like the calm before the storm around here. We have been working feverishly behind the scenes on a few things and hopefully the details will all be ironed out this week and we will be able to announce some Freddy stuff. It's just not cool to announce stuff and then have it go away again...so I am trying to wait until it's all in place here. Patience is a virtue - and I say that for me as much as anyone else. Contracts were also signed on another project I am involved with on the film side, but again, it's pointless giving out any details until there's something to talk about. So rest assured that Camp Freddy, Billy Morrison and even Circus Diablo are all being worked on, furthered, nurtured, loved, caressed.....ok, I'm getting carried away now, but you get the point. All areas are getting the treatment right now.
I can tell you of a couple of appearances in the next week or so - first off is the VH1 Celebrity Bowling in Hollywood at the Lucky Strike Lanes tomorrow night. I am part of the Camp Freddy team and Dave Navarro is hosting the event so we have Jerry Cantrell and Billy Gibbons bowling with us instead of Dave. Should be a lot of fun. And also I will be DJ'ing at the new Tuesday night Rock Club that started up at The Standard Hotel on Sunset Blvd next Tuesday 18th November. I went down there last night and its a great vibe. So when Louis asked me to DJ, of course I said yes!! Rock is back, boys and girls (if it indeed ever went anywhere at all!) - Here's hoping the powers that be can get their shit together and we can let you know a few things around here! Its way too quiet for my liking. Although it did give me some time to design the Les Paul you see above......currently being sprayed up for yours truly as we speak!!!

SAW THIS AND THOUGHT OF YOU...
This is a wonderful example of UK artist Banksy that we saw while running around New York City at the weekend. Keep your eyes open when you're out and about and who knows what you'll come across. Take a pic of his fabulous art and send it to me - I wanna see it all.

THE MILE HIGH CLUB
Well this gives a totally new meaning to the age old phrase "Mile High Club"! Posting on my blog while I am flying over the USA on Election Day - using the WiFi networks that are now available on certain flights. I mean, this really blows my mind. Returning from a couple of really nice days in the Big Apple with my wife (and hitting both Wildhearts shows while we were at it, of course), I find myself browsing the web, checking emails and posting this blog while sipping on my coffee....in an airplane! Travel is getting ever more where it needs to be - which is comfortable.
The Wildhearts rule. Quite simply some of the most outstanding, well crafted tunes I have ever heard, and played with an effortless ability to make the most complex sections of songs sound perfectly reasonable. Tight, punchy and full of melody and rhythm, they are one of my top five bands of all time. Period. If you play music, listen to music, produce music or even just feel music (yes, it IS possible to feel it), then I urge you to buy "Phuq", "Earth Vs The Wildhearts" and start your education. Every time I see the band play, I end up getting inspired to write more music and this time is no different.
And by the time I get off this plane, the country will have a pretty good idea about who the next President will be....and while I don't intend on publicly discussing which way I would go (if I could) - I trust that you are all out there making use of the fact that YOU CAN!! Go vote - use it wisely - think about what you are doing, and ask yourself if you are ready for change. Its up to you now.
OK - a couple of answers....no idea where the Janes video went - ask Todd and Dave as i stole the code from their page! And Dave's new show on Indie is a different animal entirely - and as such will not include me. I wish him much success with that one and Camp Freddy Radio will surface again at some point in the future. OK - well, I'm going to go surf a bit more, and marvel at the high speed internet that is available to me right now, as I hurtle (in a high speed fashion) through the skies. Wonderful.
