COMING UP FOR AIR
Today is all about taking a breather from the last couple of weeks! It's just kept on coming recently and today I am going to do .....NOTHING! Maybe I'll go out and see Iron Man if we feel like it later, but I gotta say that I need a day hanging out and playing GTA4 (that I bought a week ago and haven't even opened yet!! Very unlike me!) and catching up with my beautiful wife - it feels like we haven't seen each other in weeks. But I am really happy with the first two Camp Freddy shows at The Roxy. Pictures will be going up on the various sites - CampFreddy.Net, the MySpace pages of Camp Freddy and Billy Morrison, and of course, on here too. Check out a couple of the reviews down below - they really seemed to like it!!

Matt Sorum is having a store party this week to celebrate the opening of SORUM/NOCE - and I will be DJing the event. His clothes are just beautiful and I am honored that he asked me to supply the music for his little shindig! And of course, Week Three of the Residency approaches quickly - This coming Thursday at The Roxy again. I also have The Perfect Age movie to shoot, the rest of the Residency gigs to play, A Necessary Evil to make and a few Freddy/Billy Morrison plans to put into action. Any regular to this site knows I like to stay busy, and it seems like the Big Guy upstairs is listening to my wishes right now! Keeps me out of trouble and out of my own head (which is a really dangerous place to be for me!!). I can do a few questions this week, so fire away and post em, and I'll sift through and do my best to answer them when I post the V-Blog from Week Two on Monday or Tuesday. Some great footage (thanks to Jen who patiently films from the soundboard every week.....give her some love, people!!).
Talking of A Perfect Age, the director, Scott and his two lead actors, Jason Ritter and Kevin Zeggers came down to the Roxy show last week. They flew in from New York, along with one of the producers, Joe, and hung out with us for the evening, soaking up the rock and roll atmosphere. As the movie is set in the early 90's and is all about Rock, we were happy to have them all around and I believe everyone had a blast. I will not only be acting in the movie (YES!! Another drug dealer!! But this time with some really cool eccentricities and a bitchin ride - a 1970 Roadrunner in mint condition) but I will be going to NYC to hang out on the set while they shoot the 'live performance' scenes - kinda like a consultant. I'll be screaming things like...."STOP!!!! No one EVER licked the headstock of a guitar!! Looks like you're giving the thing a blowjob!!!" HAHAHA!! The pic above is of myself hanging with Scott and Jason.
Finally I have to say that the MAP Awards show we played was amazing. A HUGE thanks to Patrick Cornell, who came down with me and shot a few killer photos for me during the soundcheck. Thanks Patrick - you rock!! And Mike D - "Love yer work, mate!!" We played five songs - Surrender (with Robin Zander), Gonna Raise Hell (with Robin Zander and Wayne Kramer), I'm Eighteen (with Chester Bennington and Billy Duffy), Mama Kin (with Steven Tyler and Duff McKagan) and Whole Lotta Love (with Steven Tyler and Jerry Cantrell). Dave was unable to be at the show, so Slash stepped in and played lead with us on all the songs. Alice Cooper and Slash were honored with Awards and the whole night was fantastic. Thank you to Harold, Chris, Wynnie and all at MAP for making the evening such a huge success, and thank you for inviting us to be a part of it all.
Last night was a friends birthday party (Happy Birthday Cindy!!) and I shot up to the event immediately after doing Camp Freddy Radio with Dave. The radio show was a lot of fun, and as usual, thanks to our very own Paul, its up on the Podcast Page, as well as the I-Tunes Podcast download if you subscribe. As you can see, after all that lot, I have woken up today determined to rest up, enjoy my life, my wife and my video games!! HAHA!! Which means I really need to stop typing this fucking blog and get to lying on my couch, wireless controller in hand, running around Vice City with a big shotgun and a noisy motorcycle. Until then, enjoy this clip below. See ya!!
Peace.
Billy

Jason Ritter? As in John Ritter's son? Pretty cool...
My older brother had a 1969 Roadrunner, red with white interior. That shit was sharp.

Just saw the Mama Kin video on YouTube, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p9UszbFGEHY which was fantastic. While watching it, I'm thinking if I was you onstage, I'd be saying to myself "Holy crap, I'm playing Mama Kin with Steven Tyler and Slash. This is un-friggin-believable!!"
Do you still have "I'm not worthy" moments?
Oh, and I promise not to yell BillMo at you next Thursday.
