BETTER LATE THAN NEVER..
Another new entry!! Must be Christmas....or not. Either way, here I am again, and I finally edited a V-Blog together from the reams of footage that I have. There is so much, and I know that this Blog doesnt really make cohesive sense - but then again, I don't care!! An interview with Matt Sorum, me hacking on about nothing in particular, and some choice clips from the Roxy. What more could you want?!?! So thats the primary reason for this post, although I have figured out (finally!!) how to embed these custom YouTube players, so the TV below has 15 of the best videos so far from my YouTube channel. For more of the same, CLICK HERE TO CHECK OUT WWW.YOUTUBE.COM/MORRISONTV.
I have to answer Merc's question - its been asked a lot!! Yes, it is me in the "We Are The Champions" Robbie Williams video! Rob and I used to be good friends and in actual fact, he was the Priest at our first wedding at The Sunset Marquis hotel in LA!! During that time, he recorded that song for the movie, and when it came time to shoot a video for it, he figured it would be fun to ask me to be in it. And he was right! The two day shoot on the Universal backlot was a scream!! Lots of chickens, "gadzooks" and buxum wenches!! I send my love to Rob - hope you are doing ok, mate.
And once again, the heavy set female is warming up in the background. I gotta go - things to do, people to see, video games to play. See some of you on Thursday. Oh - I nearly forgot, Jay...yes I saw pretty much every band play back then EXCEPT the Pistols. I saw Gen X a few times - The Lyceum and The Marquee stand out in my chemically challenged mind! Chelsea played a lot and I saw them all over the place. So there! As per usual, the Podcast is up and available. Thanks Paul.
Billy

Buxum Wenches - sounds like a good name for an all-girl band.
Or perhaps a description of us gals in the front row at the Roxy Camp Freddy shows!
See y'all Thursday.

it's more like the 8th night of Chanukah and Christmas...all rolled into one. Thanks for the awesome V blog.
I'm so...SO sorry I'm missing all of this.
Please shack up on the other coast and bring some Rock & Roll back to NYC. We seriously need it.

Billy, thanks for the answer! I actually found another vid on youtube that shows you more clearly. Appreciate the peek into the Camp Freddy shows and Matt's store. Keep doing what you are doing! Take care, Niki

Thanks Beth. I may have to call in... uh... "sick" to uh... JURY DUTY if they call me to show up tomorrow. There's nothing on earth that will keep me from that thing.
why couldn't LA Courthouse call me for earlier this week. Woof. I'll do my duty, but NOT tomorrow.

Great footage. Some of the best from the shows so far. Can't wait for Thursday. Kate and all going to the soundcheck- Hope you have a blast and I hope you are going to share the details!
See everyone tomorrow...
We know Hall and Oates are NOT the special guests because they will be at the troubadour down the street- no offense to them, but I sure feel sorry for everyone who will be there and missing out on these amazing shows!!!

I dont know what to say, thru you I was introduced to Robbie williams. Which is such a different turn in the type of music that I like but, he is awesome. He is now now my favorite "crooner". BTW, your pic with u, jen & robbie has always been a favorite of mine, even b4 I knew who RW was. Too cool. It was kind of funny that I have watched every Camp Freddy video and at one point had no idea who Robbie was. Take care and have fun. Niki

Well I posted this on my myspace blog but I will post it here also:
I have to say once more that these shows going on at the Roxy in May are one of a kind and once in a lifetime opportunity. With different special guests every night it changes from week to week. I am awestruck in various moments throughout the night. In disbelief and shock that I am blessed enough to see these shows. Unless you are actually THERE you seriously can't grasp the beauty of what is happening musically with Camp Freddy. A rock fan's dream come true.
Last night's show rocked the house(once again).
Some Highlights of Last night:
Tiffany(yes I said Tiffany) sang the Sex Pistols! She rocked it!
The singer from Incubus sang Janes Addiction!
Brett Scallions and the awesome guitarist from Rage against the Machine did Roadhouse Blues by the Doors!!!!
My favorite would be Mark McGrath singing "wildflower"(my fave cult song) with Billy Duffy on the guitar.
The 80's cover band Steel Panthers sang Hot for Teacher!
And so much more it becomes a blur. Oh yeah, they sang Song Two by Blur!
Donovan Rocks Antmusic I am telling you better then the original artist Adam Ant(Don't tell him I said that)
Sugarfoot drummed to "Brown Sugar" (Sugarfoot has recorded with the likes of Madonna Elton John and such, but trust me HE ROCKED!)
The singer from the Deftones rocked some Alice in Chains with Jerry Cantrell on guitar.
Its like Rock Star Karaoke and I love it! I don't want MAY to end!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I enjoyed the Soundcheck. I like hearing the stops and starts, the tweaking and tuning, the bitching and moaning. There is a practice, or two, with each guest so by the end of the soundcheck it seemed like CF had played two shows worth before the real show!
It took us just under 3 hours to get there last night from Orange County due to the wacky weather and electric light show off the 5 Fwy(normally about an hour and ten drive.) Glad we made it. Always good to see some familiar faces.
The variety and talent in these shows has been really special. One more to go.

I just want to thank you Billy for the Meet & Greet opportunity. Very very cool. And again for a fantastic show. Brandon Boyd...thank you!!! Aaaahhaha. Happy girl. And Matt Sorum made my friend Monica uber happy, she says thank you!
OK... so... AFTER May, how am I gonna survive? I've been streamlining CF directly into my veins for a month now, and I have to go cold turkey? ACK... You know I don't do that kinda shit well.
I'm gonna have to go see Dr. Drew now. Daaayyum.

Wait. Change that to mainlining. There we go. Good morning all....
