AND.....THEY'RE BACK AGAIN!!
Its back to The Roxy we go again today for another week of fabulously uncontrolled MAYhem!! The word is out and we hear that a few people might or might not be stopping by tonight. Truly I have no idea right now how its all gonna work out. No idea exactly what guests we have (cos people keep calling and asking if we would have room in the set for 'so and so', or that 'blah blah' might drop by and could he do a song. I gave up last night trying to remember who's who, what's what, and how it might all work. I intend to show up today, put a guitar on and try to figure out what songs we are actually playing. This shit is SO much fun!! If you are coming tonight - hold on to your hat cos you have as much idea about what we are gonna do, as we do!! HAHA!
Matt Sorum and Max Noce had their official store opening party last night and Melrose Ave had'nt seen so much action in a LONG time!! I DJ'd for about three and a half hours and had the best time! All Matt's friends turned out to support him and help the two of them celebrate the amazing job they have done with the clothes, the store and the general rock and roll vibe they have created. Jim Marshall was there taking history-making photograph's, Duff, McGrath, Duffy, Paul Cook....pretty much most of the first two weeks of Camp Freddy;s residency actually!! And everyone had a fun time, and had nothing but great things to say about the Soum/Noce clothing line. Thanks to Matt for asking me to spin - had a blast!!
I have to tell you that the new Flash intro page is NOTHING to do with me!! As nice as it is to read all the wonderful praise in your comments, it ALL belongs to Edwin, who contacted me and asked if I wanted a new intro page. I said yes and the results are plain to see - thanks be to Edwin, and please all of you - feel free to throw some well deserved respec' in his general direction!! We are still tweaking it (well, he is, and I am just making his life miserable with all my little comments!!) but it will be finished soon. The more detail oriented among you will have noticed the loop thats playing - its from the song, "Be Yourself" which will be on the forthcoming Billy Morrison solo EP, out later in the year.
I gotta stop typing and get to listening to a song or two. Believe it or not, on the morning of a show, I still haven't learnt everything yet!! So I am off - I promise that I have been filming all the goings on, but I just haven't been able to get it all out of the camera and in to the computer. When I do, I assure you that you will get more than a couple of really cool V-Blogs. Life is just a little too hectic to do all that right now. OK - thats it - outta here - see ya tonight!!

I wanted to post this on the week 2 blog but it was closed. So I am just going to leave my stellar review here. I was lucky enough to go to both the Roxy show and the MAP awards. The MAP awards were insane. I ran in to everyone in the lobby but was too starstruck to do anything but nod and smile. I didn't know Slash had a voice until he gave his acceptance speech. Said he sobered up for his kids (who were there). He and Alice Cooper really opened up about their struggles with addiction. Then when Steven Tyler joined camp freddy it had to be the greatest moment in rock, at least the greatest moment that I'll ever witness live.
And now to the Roxy show...I have never had that much fun at a concert in DC (where I live). I hope the Roxy shows become an annual event because I plan to move to LA soon. If anyone has pics or video from the show shoot me a message (click on my name above).
To the stupid ____ who pushed her way to the front just as CF was about to take the stage: You got in front of a lot of people who had been waiting there for hours and actually came to see CF (unlike yourself). You were about 6 inches taller than me and a few others whom you cut in front of, thus blocking our otherwise perfect view! Your rudeness coupled with the fact that you didn't even care about the show forced me to pour my drink (and any drink within arms reach) on you. I do not normally mosh in to people at shows nor spill drinks on them but you earned it!

OK... I need everyone here to know just how fuckin' awesome Billy is. I took my son to see CF tonight, he's never been and he had the night off work. I was not thinking that getting a ticket would be an issue.
So.. when we got hit with the bad news that the whole show was sold out, I made a decision -- I gave Alex my ticket, the boy was not going to come all that way and not get in. I'd seen the band before, and although it would SUCK not seeing them... I'd live. I said, if the Universe wants me in the show... it'll happen.
Long story short... Mr. Morrison is beyond amazing. Billy, you rock, I love ya, and you have my slave labour for a day should you ever wish to cash in on it. BLOWN AWAY...just blown away!
THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
Peebs, Sue...UC... I love you guys. I am so glad I was able to share the show with you. Ya'll rock. C'mon back to LA anytime! Safe trip home to all of you!

ok after all my post concert ass kissing....i actually have a unique legitimate question (or so i think) HAH.......with the insane heat goin on in the roxy....and the serious amount of sweat coming off of you and dave....all over your guitars....strings...frets....pickups....etc.....
is there ever any grounding issues/short circuits......ZZZZZZZzzzzzzzttttttt ......in the middle of songs.....like do u guys ever get zapped when ur rockin out?

i put together a 5-6 song compilation of some of the better video's ive gathered from thurs nite....im hoping more will pop up online and i can get even more of the show.......in the meantime.......this is a pretty cool vcd
u can watch on your pc as is or take a regular cd rom (the kind u burn music on) and burn this file as VIDEO CD....and it'll play in your standalone dvd player on your tv =P
