LET ANOTHER YEAR BEGIN.
As the dust settles on 2007, we all gradually return to work/school/the couch and continue doing what we were doing before! For me this means a few things - and the first would be that Circus Diablo are regrouping next week for some rehearsals. We are playing a small show in Venice, CA at a club called VENICE ROCKS on January 30th to air a couple of new songs, bust out a guitar or two for me, and generally brush the cobwebs off and start the process of being a band again and writing for album number two. It'll be fun to play, and it will also show us how V2.0 of the band is going to work in 08. It looks like we can also tell you that we will be performing at this years FANGORIA convention in LA but more details on that one will have to wait until we have them. Primary focus is on writing some killer new songs and starting the process of getting in the studio.
I am also DJing at the T-Mobile Diner in Park City, Utah on January 19th. Its part of the Sundance Film Festival. Basically its an excuse for most of Hollywood to disappear into the snow, run around having parties and get free swag all day long. Oh yeah - and there are movies there too!! Donovan and I are gonna DJ on the Saturday night - it should be a lot of fun, and Sundance itself is always amazing. Seeing as I busted out my skiing moves once already this year, I feel I can get out on the slopes again so hopefully a nice V-Blog will be coming your way soon!
Tonight is an all new CFR with Dave and myself. Its been a few years now and Camp Freddy Radio is still going strong. We move into another year committed with Indie 103.1FM and Dave and myself have some fun shows ahead this year. Who knew we would be legitimate FM radio Disc Jockeys?!?!? I love doing the show and Indie has been behind us the whole way. LOTS of respect to everyone at the station, and if you are new to this site, or just didn't know that we had the show, tune in tonight (and every Saturday night) at 6.00pm PST for two hours of genius radio, only on 103.1 FM.
I have a few plans for myself for 2008 that are really exciting, and as usual, this site will be the place to get the news first. No point in detailing a bunch of stuff that hasn't happened yet, but I start the year creatively fired up, enthusiastic about a few project ideas, and full of gratitude for my life and the people in it. Stick around and be part of it all. Questions are invited again - feel free to ask and I will do my best to answer. And fire off any ideas you guys have about the site. How can you be a part of it? How can I bring you all the content to want? All ideas and suggestions welcome. Thats it from me - I'm off to put tonight's playlist together. See you out there sometime this year.
Peace
Billy

billy i have a suggestion for this site.... soundboard recordings of diablo!!!
i know its impossible to get them of CF becuase of release forms etc but maybe the odd leak here and there of camp freddy would be fucking killer!!!
apart from that...you do EVERYTHING and more for us which NOBODY else does.

I have to tell you...
Your friends and fellow CF mates put on one hell of a KILLER show NYE at Hammerstein. It was one of the best I've ever seen hands down.
I can't think of anything at the moment you could add. You already give us so much!! And it's much appreciated!
I will hopefully be tuning in tonight.

If the season was mentionable, I would comment that I love the Chiefs colored dunks, ahhhh but, that is not to be. I was secretly hoping the TBA support band for VR at the 1/28th show would be CD (thnx fr the NY review, btw)! Given the post, that is not in the cards. Oh well, just gives me another reason to make plans to see the closest venue in '08. Have a great show tonight. Take care-Niki

Hi Billy, hope the first 5 days of 2008 were exciting:)! You are very good to the fans!thanx for the updates and KOOL VBLOGS!
My oldest son shares your love of shoes. He looks on a site called shoes.com and got a few pairs for Christmas. I better not let him see your pair pictured or he will want those also-
A question for you. Since I just started listening to CFR about 2 yrs ago, was it always primarily you and Dave on the air from the band?
Thanx Billy:)

Here's an idea:
A live DJ set here on the site audio/visual the whole works. Sort of in the spirit of what Dave used to do w.SRL but with a new twist.
I'll have my people contact your people...;)

Danni, yes, pretty much...but they have all been on at 1 time or the other. I love CFR! It is the 1 radio show where most of it's listeners probably have never seen them live, but can still thouroughly enjoy the show!! It is more interesting than Howard Stern, and funnier than LoveLine now that Mr. Carolla is doing is own show, oh, and the f'ing rock your tits off!!!!

Hey Billy,
I can't tell you the joyousness I felt whilst rifling through my local record store looking for christmas presents (yes some of my people still prefer a hard copy to an itunes album) when low and behold I came across Circus Diablo way down here in Sydney Australia, which I then of course HAD to purchase as one of my gifts, no question about it. :))
I just finished listening to Saturdays Camp Freddy podcast, you and Dave never fail to put a smile on my face :)
Sending Much Love from Down Under xxxooo
