PICTURES FROM THE STUDIO

Nothing new to report - a lot being talked about behind the scenes with both Camp Freddy and Circus Diablo, but as usual, my perception is that talk is hot air, and there's no point in blogging about stuff until it actually happens. So until some of it comes to fruition, I am in the studio working on a track for the Basement Jack movie, and the director, Michael Shelton, is directing an amazing video for the song soon.....once we actually finish the song!!

Its a redo of an old Doheny song that he loved, so we are recutting a bunch of stuff, and having me sing the song ..... and then we'll shoot a ridiculously cool greenscreen special FX epic video!! Maybe the track will end up on I-Tunes as a single, who knows. We have to talk about all that. Right now its the fun stuff - creativity, recording, mixing etc. Then after the holidays we get to shoot the video. By then we'll know if we plan to do a YouTube thing......maybe with the amount of beautifully shot naked bodies we plan to have in the video, we'll go back and do something with NGTV (the people that made LOADED a hit video).

More will be revealed. Here's a few pics from the session that Michael took when he was down shooting B-Roll. Jed Leiber is producing the track and so far, its sounding huge. Charles came in and laid down some amazing drums (cos the original track had programmed drums on it - it was a demo) and I have done a bunch of guitars as well. Vocals next - la la la LAAAAA!!!! The UK V-Blog seemed to be a success - I had more than the usual amount of emails on that one. Glad you enjoyed it. I gotta dash, so have fun, be safe, and I'll be back before the weekend.

Peace

Billy

Thanks for taking the time to update, Billy.
The podcast was fun too. It helps to take my mind off this stupid knee injury. Off to the doctor. Here goes nothing...

The music business is a cruel and shallow money trench, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs. There's also a negative side.

There are some people who won't stay dead. It doesn't make any difference what you do to them. You can bury them in the ground, dump them in the ocean or cremate them. But the memory of them will still turn your guts into mush just as if they were still alive.

Drift away from anyone you can
Nothing ever goes according to plan
Though I know that every river bends
Time to say hello to snow on the Thames
What could be wetter than
An English girl, American man
London in the summer time
Call me now use the satellite
London in the summer time
Cuss me out and it'll feel all right

Whence appeared these writers?

Posted by: ylais at November 29, 2007 09:06 AM

Read, read, read. Read everything - trash, classics, good and bad, and see how they do it. Just like a carpenter who works as an apprentice and studies the master. Read! You'll absorb it. Then write. If it is good, you'll find out. If it's not, throw it out the window.

Give him enough rope and he will hang himself.

I so much admire a person who can write in their own words rather than using someone elses, particularly using someone elses out of context.

?? um yeah so anyway...

Billy, have you checked out the Rock Band game yet? I swear, it blows Guitar Hero out of the water--you can sing, play guitar or bass or even electronic drums, they give you a free standing kit with four drum pads and a bass pedal...sooo addictive.

They totally stole the CF setlists, they have Blitzkrieg Bop, Suffragette City, Ballroom Blitz...it is SO much fun.

Hope all is well :)

Great CFR last night!
You and Dave are always so entertaining together!

Posted by: Robin (peebs) at December 2, 2007 08:26 AM

Ya know Billy, with each new CFR podcast, I feel like a better, improved man! Then I can evaluate my life and see how I've grown as compared to the person I was during the show that preceded it. You have to stay up-to-date. You have to grow as the world grows. You can't live in a vacuum. You can't dwell on or live in the past. You have to read a lot, take as many seminars as you can, take in new shows, and adjust yourself to what is. It's a process of never-ending, continuous improvement! The Japanese call it "Kaizen". Live a life of passion. It is a gift after all. So awaken your giant within, Billy boy. And discover your inner Kaizen!!!!!!!!

O Morrison, Morrison,
Wherefore art thou, Morrison?
Deny thy father and refuse thy name!
Or, if thou wilt not, be but sworn my love,
And I'll no longer be a Capulet.

Gillian Gibbons, the British teacher convicted of insulting religion in Sudan by allowing her students to name a teddy bear "Mohammed" has left Khartoum on a flight home, the British Foreign Office said this morning.
We get results. Dammit man--we really rock!!!!
So do Circus Diablo and Doheny and the Cult.
