LAND OF HOPE AND GLORY...... (kind of....)
Please note that this is a large file size. A high speed connection is preferred.
And here it is - the London V-Blog. Two weeks out of date, and pretty much irrelevant now!! But who cares, right? I had a lot of fun in England and even more fun editing the blog together, and ultimately thats what I do all this for.....so I'm happy! If you enjoy it, that is a huge bonus. For the few of you that don't have the correct codec's etc and can't see this embedded Quicktime, it is also up on my Morrison TV page on YouTube. I am back in the Studio for a few days working on a track that will be in the movie Basement Jack that I finished recently. We are revisiting a song that I did a couple of years back with Doheny, but I am redoing the vocals and putting some live drums on it, courtesy of Diablo's very own Charles Ruggiero.
As you can see, I spent all day today redoing guitars when I PROMISED myself I wouldn't!! But you know how it is - you start messing and the next thing is its ALL got to be rerecorded!! Again, I am having a blast so what the hell. Michael Shelton (who directed Basement Jack) will be filming in the studio next week, and then we are doing a few days crazy green screen shooting with him for a video that will accompany the track and the movie. If it turns out anything like he is describing it to me, this is gonna be one SICK looking rock video!! Thats it from me. The CFR podcast is now up as usual - on the Podcasts page of this site, AND available if you subscribe to my I-Tunes Podcast page. Either way, you can thank Paul who manages to get it for me, even when the stream is down at Indie!!. Gone.

Thanks for the vblog, I thoroughly enjoyed the footage. I have always wanted to visit London but I have never taken the time.
So in the video you said you didn't like being there. Is it something that changed since you left or did you never like it there? And what is it about LA that you love so much that it keeps you here? The La Brea Tar Pits? The Sunset Marquis? Tommy's Chili Cheese Fries? :-)

At home he's a tourist!

Thanks for a little look into your trip! I haven't been back to London in many many years. I was there for 3 weeks in the mid-80's with my friends and we didn't want to come home.
Now it's just too freaking expensive. The dollar is shit.
Is that a fernandes guitar your playing?

I love the vblog... wished I was back in London, I love that place, but then again, I see it from the eyes of a tourist. I go back next August. Isn't soon enough for me.
Hoping everyone in Malibu is ok.. I've got some friends out there that are probably affected by the damn fires again (and they were redesigning their house.... ugh!). Peace. Hopefully I'll be close to a radio or the computer tonight to tune in. Later all.

Thanks for the v-blog Billy. I like your guitar.
It's drizzling here. "THE SKY IS CRYING"
Stevie Ray Vaughan was the reason I quit piano... and picked up a guitar.

Who are these people? These faces! They look like caricatures of used-car dealers from Dallas. But they're real. And, sweet Jesus, there are a hell of a lot of them. Still humping the American Dream, that vision of the Big Winner somehow emerging from the last-minute pre-dawn chaos of a stale Vegas casino.

Please keep Flea and his family in your thoughts & prayers.
From tmz:
Flea, the bassist for the the Red Hot Chili Peppers, lost his home today in the fires raging through Malibu, KNX 1070 is reporting.
According to the Los Angeles Times, Flea purchased his 2,700-square-foot home last year, with a list price of $10.5 million.
A rep for Flea could not be located.

Rad vid matey! Cool to catch up with it.
Posted by: Spencer at November 24, 2007 06:05 PM
well there seems to be some conflicting reports about flea's home burning....i think EMIT misread that....cuz according to TMZ....his home DID NOT burn down.
http://www.tmz.com/2007/11/24/fleas-malibu-home-lost-to-fire/
Flea, the bassist for the the Red Hot Chili Peppers, did not lose his home today in the Malibu fires.
KNX Newsradio confirmed that earlier reports that Flea's house burned down are untrue, according to his manager.
According to KTTV, rocker Axl Rose lives in the area as well -- his home was damaged, but saved.
================
i prefer to believe the latter report....but whether or not its true....i think we should ALL take a moment to say a prayer for the people in malibu who are being affected by this tragedy.

He came over to our table and began yelling all kinds of drunken, super-patriotic gibberish, hitting on Bruce about "What kind of nerve does a goddamn Canadian have to come down here and insult this country?"
"Say man," I said. "I'm an American. I live here, and I agree with every fucking word he says."

You can't bang your head or come on feel the noise anymore. Kevin Dubrow has died in Vegas. He was 52. Sad. They don't know what killed him. Quiet Riot's last record was in 2006. They called it Rehab. Their first record Metal Health was the first metal album to reach #1.

*Hoping that Doheny song is Dust.;)
great blog, living in high tourist area I know how you feel about walking your own streets. You can hardly believe it's the same place you grew up in.

Flea has two homes. one worth 10 million and the other one worth or 4,5 million. The latter got burned down. Axl Roses appartment nearly burned down but the firefighters managed to get there in time, only part of his roof and part of his insert-big-amount-here acre land got burned. I feel sorry for the people in Malibu; some pretty horrible stuff going on.
Thanks for the Vblog Billy, I love it!
