ITS ABOUT TIME... A NEW V-BLOG

VEGAS AND BASEMENT JACK: A Brand New V-Blog
Please note that this is a large file size. A high speed connection is preferred.

When I get sick, I revert to the age of about 7 years old. I expect everyone to look after me and bring me Strawberry Cheesecake flavored Ben And Jerrys. I want to do absolutely nothing except lay in bed and play video games. So it’s a good job that I am married to a wonderful girl who actually DOES bring me Ice Cream, ignores my whining and lets me lay in bed feeling grumpy……..and also brings me BIOSHOCK and HALO 3 on X-Box to play!! I had a great time being sick – all I did was eat and play video games! Completed Bioshock in two days and I am now totally enjoying Halo 3. Sometimes I just have to stop working and chill out. I also found time to edit a new V-Blog from Vegas and the set of Basement Jack. Nothing too mindblowing, but fun for me to do, and hopefully fun for you guys to watch.

Now that I feel a little better I can concentrate on a few work-related things. I have a meeting tonight about a really interesting role in a short film – the words “dark and subversive” were used in the description and that’s all I needed for me to be interested! Its so nice to be asked to act – I never knew it would be so much fun, and it goes hand in hand with music. Its all entertainment. I am so blessed to be able to do it all. Which reminds me that tomorrow night, I get to be a musician again with a two song Camp Freddy performance deep in the heart of Beverly Hills. It’s one of those ‘private’ deals ….. whatever …. I wish you could all come. Suffice to say I’ll tell you all about it when its over. We have a cool line-up for two songs, and its something to do with getting people to vote. I am just happy I get to play some rock and roll.

There’s a couple of interesting travel things coming my way soon as well. I’ll fill you in nearer the time, but I can tell you that the Pistols at Brixton Academy in London is forcing me to do that horrible Trans-Atlantic flight again!! Yep – how can I NOT come back to the UK and watch The Sex Pistols in my old stomping grounds of Brixton? I’ll be nipping across the water to watch the shows and then high-tailing it back to the land of the constant 72 degrees and blue skies!!

And finally, the LOADED video is now up to nearly a QUARTER OF A MILLION VIEWS!!! I mean, that is so fucking cool. I don't really care what that means in any other terms. Hundreds of thousands of people have seen and heard the song. And that means our job is done. Thanks to all who watched, pimped and generally made that happen. And that’s all I got for you right now. Enjoy the V-Blog and check out the Podcast of CFR from last week which is now up on the Podcasts page and on the Billy Morrison I-Tunes Subscription. Thanks Paul – you always stay up and record the show – you rock. Until Saturday, when I will be back in the hotseat at Indie 103.1FM, I wish you all a good week, and thanks to everyone for all your support. Its fun around here.

Peace

Billy

DOWN WITH THE SICKNESS

Ugh!! Sick. In bed. Watching TV. Eating frozen yogurt. Nasty. Gotta get out of bed later and go shoot ALL NIGHT on the movie. Night shoots are bad at the best of times, but feeling as sick as I do, its going to be a nightmare. Whatever - I have to do it. The LOADED video shot past 200,000 views and that is just amazing. Here is a piece that is in BW and BK magazine for those of you that haven't seen it. The text is a little small at this res but its still readable ..... Just!! The band did the acoustic performance/Playboy radio thing earlier this week, and we also filmed the game show Rock And A Hard Place which airs on DirecTV channel 101 in November. Meatloaf is the host of the show, and we actually WON our game - and $5500 for charity, which is always nice. Our charity was MusiCares. But I was already feeling crappy when we filmed, and the early call time (why is TV always so EARLY!!!) didn't help. So now I am laid up and feeling sorry for myself. And not looking forward to the night shoot later. Thats it - just wanted to thank everyone who has helped push LOADED to the top, including my homies Dave and Todd who ran the video on Spread Entertainment last night. Nice one guys - I love you. Just wanted to jump on here to say that I am still around - just a little under the weather. If all goes well, I should be feeling better tomorrow - just in time for a new Camp Freddy Radio. Lets see how today goes.....

Peace

Billy

YOUTUBE AND BEYOND

Frame.jpg

This weekend really blew my mind, with the fact that the LOADED video made NUMBER ONE music video on YouTube. It has, at this time, been viewed over 180,000 times. Thats insane! But I am not arguing......what it means is that people watch Rock videos. And for that I am truly greatful. You are the underdog in this business the moment you strap on a guitar instead of standing in front of a group of dancers and a DJ. So any and every victory (both small and large) for Rock N Roll is a very neccessary one. Crazy Bitch by Buck Cherry. Velvet Revolver's worldwide success. Everything from Van Halen and Led Zepp reforming down to the rock n roll bands playing shows up and down Sunset Strip every night of the week. It all keeps Rock alive and well. So the Loaded video now fits into that story, which puts a huge smile on my face - and that is all I need. You can all still help the cause by continuing to view the video this week - just click the picture above - and then rating the video at the end. The more views and the more ratings we get, the easier it is for us to move forward with plans. Spread the word, keep pushing for us, and thank you all. For now, I can tell you that if you have SIRIUS RADIO, you can tune in tomorrow night at 9.00pm on the PLAYBOY channel 198 and check out the interview and acoustic performance by Diablo. We will be hanging out and playing three songs acoustically so if you subscribe to Sirius, tune in tomorrow.

Peace

Billy

THE THESPIANS HAVE TAKEN OVER THE ASYLUM

EVILUTION: The Trailer
Please note that this is a large file size. A high speed connection is preferred.

So today is an all new Camp Freddy Radio and although I will be making sure that the LOADED video is back on the top of this page when Monday rolls around, I figured that we could change it up for the weekend in honor of one of my guests tonight. So I have put up the new trailer to the movie I shot earlier this year - Evilution. (I have thrown up both that trailer, and the one for Tripping Forward on YouTube and linked them to here....on the right hand column of this page) And one of my fellow cast members will be joining me tonight in the CFR studios.....Noel G. We are currently both filming Basement Jack together, and not only is he a great actor, he has a great story too. Also joining us in the CFR studios tonight is the queen of Alternative Porn, Joanna Angel. The Erotica FilmFest is on in Los Angeles this weekend and I get to chat with the Festivals 'Official' spokesperson. If you wanna be a part of all this 'Thespian' action, tune in tonight at 6.00pm PST on Indie 103.1FM or listen live on the website - www.indie1031.fm

On another note, I saw this article on SciFi.Com the other day. I gotta tell you that I turn up in some of the most unlikely places!! Some of you will remember my appearance in the Discovery Channel's Science Of Star Wars documentary .......where I chat with R2D2 and C3PO? Well, now I am appearing on SciFi.Com as well. I think one more of these and I officially become a GEEK!! I am truly blessed to be able to do so many varied things and enjoy a variety of activities in my career - rock n roll, film, radio, tv - so expect my appearance at your local comic book convention very soon!! In the meantime, here's a few shots from the set of Basement Jack.

The reaction to the LOADED video has been amazing and everyone seems to love it. Which is good news. The band will be doing an acoustic appearance on Playboy U Radio next week, and will also be appearing on DirecTV's gameshow (yes, thats right boys and girls.....TEAM DIABLO in the house!!!) called Rock And A Hard Place. We film it next week and it airs in November. I will give you more details about both things when I have them. And of course, I also continue filming my parts in Basement Jack next week. Another busy few days for me, and I couldn't be happier. Last night I hit an amazing party in a house in the hills - its Emmy weekend here, and all the players hit the town and hold huge parties all weekend long. Last night was so much fun - played Texas Hold 'Em on a table overlooking the whole of Los Angeles (honestly one of the best views of the City I have ever seen!!) and got home about 3.00am. And Sunday is another, similar affair ...... formal attire is the dress code to these things, and I suppose being a musician, I get lucky. My formal attire is exactly what I would choose to wear anyway .......with a black suit jacket on top! I throw on Mark Nason boots, my trusty Jenni Kayne leather pants, one of about 20 black shirts and I'm good to go!!

OK - rambling now, due to lack of sleep. Tune in tonight, have a fantastic weekend, and please be nice to someone who needs it.

Peace

Billy

ITS PARTY TIME!

STOP PRESS: Vegas was amazing, and we got some good video, so the plan is to edit another V-Blog this week. But as you know, I am busy on set now, so I am adding to the footage there as well, and will probably get time to put something together later in the week. For now, here's a couple of pics from yesterdays shoot - "ladies and gentlemen ....... please welcome .........Detective Mickeeeeeeeeeyyyyyy BECK!!!!!" I look like a gameshow host in this picture!! But today I film a really cool action sequence, with me firing my gun all over the place before getting ..... well, I dont wanna give it away! I will be back before the weekend with the promised V-Blog.

Good morning everyone - thought I would throw up a quick check-in post before zooming off to Vegas in about an hour for a crazy day of parties, events and concerts. I think , if I am right, that today is Angels And Airwaves, 50 Cent and Linkin Park, plus events at Ceasar's Palace, The Hard Rock and the Mandalay Bay hotels......and the Rolling Stone and Maxim magazine parties to top it all off!! There is no way I will do it all, and I need to remember I am there to work (if hanging out by the pool of the Hard Rock, spinning ACDC could be called work!!). But the video camera is packed, and Jen is with me on this one, so we'll see what we can bring you all back!!

Dave and Todd are taking care of Camp Freddy Radio this week, so tune in at 6.00pm PST to catch the show. I am sure that I will be back behind the board next week, and I'll see if Dave is around then as well. Donovan is in town too, so more live CFR next week as well. And finally, if anyone wondered what Camp Freddy is, or why we do it .... or even why I play music at all!!........this video says it all. This is from last years San Fransisco show and Paul found it up online somewhere. Standing on a stage with Slash and Duff playing Paradise City with Chester Bennington singing. AMAZING!!!!

CAMP FREDDY: Paradise City/San Francisco
Please note that this is a large file size. A high speed connection is preferred.

Gotta dash - have a great weekend, and I will be back soon with a review of Vegas, some stuff from the set of my new movie, Basement Jack, and the premier of the LOADED video by Circus Diablo. What a fantastic week.

Peace

HOLIDAY WEEKEND

Interesting really - I actually asked tons of people over the three day weekend if they had any idea why there was a holiday, what Labour Day was about, or even if anyone cared!! And no one knew or gave a shit! Like me, all we knew is that Monday was a day off (although according to most people, every day is a day off for us 'entertainment types') - Jen and I actually behaved like we had a holiday! We went to the Malibu carnival (see the pic of us with our prize - a stuffed fish that I won throwing balls into containers!), we went to see The Invasion (the tag line for the movie is 'Dont Show Any Emotion and Don't Sleep' ...... well, they definately cast the movie correctly with the first phrase in mind, and the second phrase went out the window within 30 mins ..... I nodded off quite nicely!!). We attempted to look around The Grove (a kind of Disneylandesque shopping mall in LA) but its been about 105 degrees here so that lasted long enough for us to realize we needed to be inside somewhere!

Camp Freddy Radio was great fun and the Podcast is up on the site now - Donovan and I did the show this week, with a promise from Mr Navarro that he and his Spread partner, Todd Newman, will be running the show next weekend. It will be my turn to hit Vegas as I have a DJ gig outside by the Hard Rock Hotel Pool as part of the weekend long Rolling Stone party. Hence the top gratuitous pic of my wife giving me a kiss at my Avalon DJ gig earlier in the year!! Tons of shit going on that weekend, with Incubus, Linkin Park, 50 Cent, Angels And Airwaves ..... so it will be a quick visit, but with a lot packed in.

Before then, I have a week of varied stuff to look forward to ... a Circus Diablo rehearsal (talking of Diablo, see the piece from an Australian magazine above, sent in by our very own Daniel. Thanks VERY much mate), some video editing for Camp Freddy, more work on a 'film' project that has been ongoing for 6 months now and seems to have momentum (very excited by that one), a wardrobe meeting for the cast of Basement Jack which starts shooting this coming weekend.....just the way I like it. Hopefully we should have some dates appearing soon for Diablo for the last couple of months of 07, and dont forget that September 13th is now officially LOADED day! Our cool video for the first single will be released on NGTV.COM on that day, with an adult version and a PG version for your delectation and delight. Onwards, dear soldiers .......

Peace

Billy
