THE SOUND OF MINI DIABLO's

As I sit here in Dallas, TX, on the bus that has taken us from our home town of Los Angeles, to the middle of the South, it pains me to tell you all that we have to call it a day for now on the Ozzfest 2007. It has been a fantastic four weeks and we have had an amazing time. But two of our band, Ricky and Brett, have wives that are expecting babies any day now, and we just cannot continue heading east with that hanging over us. The guys need to be with their wives, and we all respect that. I hope you all understand that we have done our absolute best to get as far as we could this time around.

We will be heading back to Los Angeles tonight and we will regroup over the next few weeks and will be looking to head out again in support of our record in October. The babies will be well and truly in the world and fending for themselves by then! I hope that all you East Coast fans can hold on just a little longer – we will get there – you have my word.

For now, I have a teaser of the video for you all to check out. Its gonna look great. And as usual, when its done, it will be available here first. Above is the YouTube version, but if you really wanna see it in some kind of decent quality, you can always
CLICK HERE TO SEE THE LOADED VIDEO TRAILER.So please try and understand – a HUGE thank you to Sharon and Ozzy for having us be a part of the Ozzfest 2007, and thanks to all the bands and audiences alike that made our experience so much fun. I’ll see a few of you at the Camp Freddy show tomorrow night no doubt. Until next time.

Billy

Posted by: UC13 at August 2, 2007 03:40 PM

Your kidding me, right?

Posted by: Robin (peebs) at August 2, 2007 03:58 PM

Peebs, you must have thought you were dreaming when you read this announcement huh?

I feel bad for those of you who are Diablo-Delayed but it will be worth the wait. Just get to know all the songs real well so you can sing em loud right back at Billy when you do see them!

Baby Diablos are a good thing.;-)

Posted by: beth at August 2, 2007 05:19 PM

bless'em for going back to be with their wives, and for their babes being born.

Posted by: ylais at August 2, 2007 05:33 PM

While I applaud the guys for going home to their very pregnant wives ... Damn!

Oh well, now I won't have to come up with an excuse why I can't work on Aug. 22.

Please make your way back East sometime this fall. I'd love to see Circus Diablo play at the Troc.

Posted by: Carol Anne at August 3, 2007 04:39 AM

Ah Peebs, sorry! But yeah, very understandable (and commendable!) of the guys wanting to be with their wives.

Posted by: Kate at August 3, 2007 07:48 AM

how about a solo acoustic show for the knitting factory? or maybe you can round up a few "temps" for the evening and play the gig. that's a good compromise for all the heartbroken Diabletta's.

Slice x

oh yeah and peebs...listen to the podcast from last night....not only did billy dedicate red sun rising to you....he said diablo would come play in your front room to make it up to you =P

Posted by: UC13 at August 5, 2007 03:38 PM

Well I would like to hear it since I missed it. Hopefully there is a podcast available. The way my month has been going so far Paul probably fell asleep and didn't tape it.
And my "front room" would be an issue since my furniture is kind of oversized, it might have to be an acoustic set. ;-)

Posted by: Robin (peebs) at August 5, 2007 04:22 PM

come on robin, take one for the team. Or we'll have to truck billy out here to my house in chupacabra country.

If I hear T.K. say, "drink the Koolaide" or "Myspace stalker" one more time, I am checking out CROCK KROQ, which reminds me, driving Saturday night...@ 10:50p.m. I heard the D.J. say 4 real that Anthony Kiedes was a d*ck. Now, it's official! - kroq IS DEAD.

Posted by: Rex at August 5, 2007 07:15 PM

***Major Correction*** I heard that said FRIDAY night on KROQ, NOT saturday.

Posted by: Rex at August 5, 2007 07:20 PM

AGHH
no podcast this week.....i lost the stream just as the second hour started!
this hasnt been a good start for a few of us here by the sounds of it.....
oh well at least none of us have the surnames feldman or haim!

Posted by: MR Paul at August 6, 2007 07:31 AM

Figures. The way my month has been going...
Paul do you have at least the first hour? If so can you send it to me.

Posted by: Robin (Peebs) at August 6, 2007 07:55 AM

I am sincerely sorry for the east coast people that are going to have to hold off on seeing CD for awhile! It will be well worth the wait! I will get some of my pics from Salina up on Flickr before long. Hopefully Dave will post CFR. Billy, glad you are back home to chill & be with Jen for a bit before going back out. Thanks again for everything. Niki

Posted by: Merc957 at August 6, 2007 08:24 AM

you know, it's pretty sad, some of us don't get to see the guys at all. and some of us don't get dedications or even mentioned on CFR. or on here.
and i speak for several ppl. and someone gets to meet them, gets shout outs, etc. and still complains? too much man.
a lot of us have had bad bad months as well. ask around. a lot of horrible stuff has been going on.
check out the tpc forum prayer thread for a start.

just saying.

Posted by: ylais at August 6, 2007 10:44 AM

before this gets out of hand -and i can see it goin that way.....i speak for myself in saying i appreciate billy giving me a shout out i really do...on the other hand (and i dont mean this warrents a shout out) i stay up till after 4am every saturday night doing the podcasts and i flew all the way to L.A just to see camp freddy.

theres nothing billy can do when kids and such arise its just one of those things.....i think hes probably in a shitter about it...frustrated and we as a family should be here to boost his moral and get behind him.....i know i am.

keep the faith people diablo will be back ....im counting on it!

Posted by: MR Paul at August 6, 2007 11:55 AM

By the way I would really love it if the Forum came back to life.

Posted by: Fred at August 6, 2007 12:27 PM

Hey all! Been a while since I posted...But I am probably going to Ozzfest Aug 22nd, I am kind of confused since reading this post...but is Circus Diablo playing that date? It doesn't sound good according to this post.. Too bad :(

Posted by: Julia at August 6, 2007 06:48 PM

Wow! Paul, consider me sufficiently shamed. You are right. If anyone feels worse than the east coast fans it's Billy.
