DESERT DAYDREAMS

I’m getting a quick post in on this fine Sunday morning, before I head out to my favorite home away from home….Palm Desert. I figured that as my wife has a few days off, we should nip outta town and spend that time relaxing. Plus we have been working on a project together and a few days away from LA concentrating on it will probably get it finished. More on that one soon. I did wanna give an official ‘Family’ shout out to Creepy, who has had a whole week of Birthday Wishes!! Check out his gift to himself in the picture below ….a Diablo sigil tattoo on his finger!! Nice work mate! Your finger now has pride of place in the ‘Morrison Tattoo Gallery’ here on the site. And the Camp Freddy video from Dave's Spread Entertainment was actually in yesterdays post but I love it so much, its now in todays! Click the video above and enjoy a teaser from last weeks Camp Freddy show at The House Of Anything But Blues.

Merc – Actually the picture of me on the rooftop is from a clothing photosession I did last year. It was such a great day and the photographer was really cool, so we did a few ‘tattoo’ shots as well. And Fred – Actually gonna buy a new camera and start the V-Blogs thing again with a vengence. We did a ‘behind the scenes’ Loaded Video shoot blog, didn’t we? I cant remember – its all a blur!!! The Podcast page has been updated and last nights CFR is now up for your enjoyment. Todd came in and hung out with me for the second hour, and I gotta say he will be back for sure. He’s a great guy to hang with, and definitely does good radio! I believe that next week will be a return to the Morrison/Navarro tag team, so make sure you tune in at 6.00pm PST. Its 103.1FM in the Los Angeles area, or www.indie1031.fm if you are gonna catch up with us on the web.

That’s it from me – I’ll be back in a day or so with some chilled out, thought provoking nonsense from the backside of the Palm Springs mountains. Until then kids…...

Peace

Billy

I can't believe you tattooed yourself Creepy! I can't even pull off my own bandaid.

Have fun in the Desert Billy. I was in Coney Island all day and it felt as hot as a desert. Well as hot as the desert would be if it had humidity and a ocean. :-p
Well you know NY summers...

So you are off to Palm Springs again. I guess if you can't beat the heat, join it!

Wow, there's a baby explosion going on. Congrats!

We'll miss the dynamic duo on Saturday night's CFR because it's AIC/VR at Jones Beach. This show is going to be so insane I might spontaneously combust. This show will be a sensory overload for sure!!

Please get rid of the half-naked girl in your logo if you care at all about your female fans. It's degrading to women. JMO
Thank you.

its not degrading name withheld......it's very sexy....and not only is it the album cover....but billy duffys gorgeous girlfriend (good luck getting rid of that) ....if i had a woman that fine i'd show her off too....geezus its not like someone held a gun to her head and made her pose....she willingly volunteered.....and i for one am glad she did.....the cover is sexy, classy, & VERY rock n roll......i think someones just envious cuz they don't have a body as good as duffy's lady does (rolls eyes)

I have to say that as a woman the album cover is in NO WAY degrading to me IMO. So please do not speak for all women.
That's some hot shit yo!

Yea UC I will give a FULL review (I too excited for this show!) and I hope my pic's come out good. I'm no Wendy by a long shot! ;-)

You're awesome. You rock.

Billy,

Been catching up on Duffy's participation in the "Bodog Battle of The Bands" and was wondering
if you'd ever had a chance to meet/spend time with fellow judge John Lydon.

Any insight?

Thank you,
Jay

UC, I'll be right next to Peebs so I'll make sure she gets some good pics, mine usually SUCK :)

Barring the fact that I still miss Layne, I am sooo looking forward to this show!

Billy, hope your well deserved time off is doing the trick. If we see Matt or Scott (lol) we'll say hi for you!

I have to say, Seven Nation Army my be my favorite Freddy clip. The slow, methodic beat, Macy's raspy voice and stage presence, the signature stances and moves, the crowd. Mr Newman did a phenomenal job slicing and dicing that one, it really suits the song as well as the band... capturing everything that is Camp Freddy. Well, with the exception of Mr Weiland, that is.

I just read name withheld's comment. If you're going to deliver such a hefty ultimatum, stand behind your conviction by including your name. JMO, of course.

Quite honestly, I don't find the album cover degrading or even overtly sexual, for that matter. With this band and genre of music, I find the cover more than fitting. Surely, we can all think of stark examples of truly degrading album covers with euphemistic titles to match.

Name withheld, not sure if you were hoping for a picture of the band on the cover, but that's usually reserved for the liner notes, no? Or boy bands of the '90s.

But let's not get distracted, it's supposed to be about the music, isn't it? If you're going to let album art sway your opinion about a band or their music, I would question what you're looking for when it comes to artists and their work.

Again, just my opinion.

Love and respect to all,

Caff Sue =)

(Seven Nation Army, more effective than caffeine!)

I don't feel degraded.

Nope.

Not even a little bit. If anything, it makes me PROUD to be a woman. That's a girl that works her Pilates!

This is just my opinion now, but who am I to tell a band what (or whom) to put on the cover of their album? If you feel it's 'degrading'...don't buy it. The artists, I would imagine, think otherwise, as do a very large segment of their fan base (like 99.99999999999999999999999999999999999999999% of them). It is free speech and all that, but I can't imagine they'd see your point of view and acquiesce to it, nor would the fan base that did buy the album. It's not demeaning to women,... it's demeaning to YOU, (at least that is your purported viewpoint from what you've written).

Jes MY opinion....
