NO GOOD TV

STOP PRESS: Today is the ESPN2 interview with Circus Diablo, on the program SPEEDFREAKS. It airs at 1.30pm PST/4.30pm EST and then airs again at 2.30am PST/5.30am EST. If any of you technically minded people out there wanna record the segment and get it to me, I will throw it up on the sites for everyone unable to catch it today.

Did it again. A whole week. But then again I did leave town for four days! So I have an excuse. As usual!! Anyway, on to the happenings in my world….. and the first piece of news is that the LOADED video will get a full exclusive on NGTV.COM on 13th September. If you haven’t seen those guys yet, you are missing out. CLICK HERE TO VISIT NGTV.COM. They are one of the cutting edge internet TV channels, with a huge YouTube presence as well. So Circus Diablo are very happy to be working with everyone at the station – Ricky and I spent a couple of hours in front of the cameras yesterday talking about all things Diablo, and the LOADED video in particular, so keep your eyes on the channel. More details here as always.

Also, if you might wanna check out this online interview I did - actually, I am more than a little misquoted in it and paraphrased to hell, but whatever - CLICK HERE TO READ THE NAUGHTY AMERICAN INTERVIEW. And as usual, almost immediately after I threw this post up this morning, a few bits of press came rolling down the pipeline. I have to say that the album has been really well received and that makes me proud. Its a great rock record and I really hope that you all love the video to the first single as much as we do ...... So anyway, here's one of the press bits that came along today. Enjoy.

I am also going to be in Las Vegas on September 8th as part of the Rolling Stone party at The Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. I am DJ’ing there (LOVE doing that stuff!!) and I believe I am out by the pool this time, doing some Rock N Roll spins for the sunbathing beauties!! If you just happen to be there that weekend, stop by and say hi. But don’t request a song – you know how I don’t do requests!!

I fly back to LA the next day and go immediately to the set of Basement Jack – the next movie in my ever-expanding repertoire ….. who called me a Thespian??? How dare you, Sir??!! I am really looking forward to this film – I get to be a Detective, shoot a big gun, and die spectacularly ….. again!! I know there will be V-Blogs from the set again, so stay tuned.

What else? Well the wonderful folks at Dunlop shot this interview with us while we were on the Ozzfest - check it out by clicking on the video above. And more CFR this coming Saturday - it will be another Morrison/Leitch extravaganza, with Dave out of town again. Prepare for our usual whacked out, incomprehensible but irresistible charm and wit!! For now, that’s the update, but check back often, cos I’ll do a quick Stop Press if anything of interest turns up. Enjoy the rest of the week – tune in to the radio show at the weekend, and I’ll be back before you know it.

ITS ALL ABOUT DONO

ESPN2: STOP PRESS. WE JUST LEARNT THAT THE ESPN2 INTERVIEW WITH CIRCUS DIABLO WILL NOW AIR NEXT WEEK INSTEAD OF TODAY. EXACT DETAILS WHEN WE GET THEM. APOLOGIES!

As usual, the week just grabs me by the ass and drags me through it backwards! I just realized its Wednesday today and I have no idea where the last few days have gone. I’ve been locked away in front of my studio monitors, editing a Camp Freddy video for a project we have been working on, and it has involved WAY more than I anticipated!! Upgrades, crossgrades, downloads, uploads ….I spend most of my time PREPARING to be creative! How crazy is that? All the time I spend sorting out drives, upgrading software, fixing plug-ins etc ….. and then when I actually get down to some editing, I’m fucking tired already! So forgive me peeps – I am here now.

The first thing is that the Podcast from last weeks “Camp Freddy On Crack” radio show is now up in the Podcasts section and available from I-Tunes if you subscribe to my Podcasts. What a crazy show that was – Donovan and myself just running rampant in the studio. Lots of fun, though – and thanks to Paul for getting the show to me, as usual.

Next up is this interview that just went up online over at the Suicide Girls site. I love that lot, and I did a really cool interview with them while we were on the road last month. Have a look around over there - its a killer website, and a great vibe. Tons of other cool interviews as well. Not to mention girls with tattoos in their underwear!!CLICK HERE TO READ THE SUICIDE GIRLS INTERVIEW

Finally, as promised (if a little late!), you will have noticed the V-Blog with Dono and myself from the CFR studio last weekend. Not really sure if we answered all the questions (in fact I believe we only actually answered three!!) but whatever. Its funny anyway. I gotta get back to crunching video – my eyes are bleeding from staring at monitors for three days straight! But I’m nearly done. More news about Diablo in October as we get it, and look out for the debut of the LOADED video really soon. We have finished it and I have it – it looks AMAZING! But Koch are premiering it in a couple of places first, so I got to wait until its officially out there before I put it up on this site. I’ll see if I can get details of when and where, etc.

For now, gotta run and get back to work. Enjoy the rest of the week, and I really will try and keep up with what day of the fucking week it is…..

Peace

Billy

ITS THAT CFR TIME AGAIN!

The weekend is here, I am refreshed and rejuvenated from a week in the desert, and I am back in full force tonight on Camp Freddy Radio - Indie 103.1FM in the Los Angeles area, or www.indie1031.fm on the world wide web. Ha ha!! It will be Donovan joining me tonight as Dave is attending a charity event, and we will be bringing you some Fresh Freddy Fun at 6pm tonight. I like that - Fresh Freddy Fun ..... hmmm, feeling frisky for some fun and frolics in a fresh freddy fashion. OK Billy - enough already!!

Lets see now - set your Tivos and DVR's (or even VCR's if you are in the stone age!) on Thursday 23rd at 2pm PST/5pm EST. ESPN2 are running the interview that we did for SpeedFreaks as Diablo. If memory serves me correctly, it was Ricky and myself that did the piece and we had a lot of fun with Kenny and his peeps. Tune in on Thursday and check it out.

Basement Jack, my next movie, starts shooting in three weeks, and I cant wait!! I have been to a couple of the pre production meetings and they have some sick ideas for this film. I get a sweet gun, get to shoot it up all over the place, and get to play someone other than a drug addict!! Yes!! I am a detective in this movie, with a decent wardrobe, a nice firearm and some great scenes. We will do some choice V-Blogs from the set, I'm sure.

Talking of cameras, I'll see if I can snag a quick V-Blog tonight at CFR - there will be cameras there shooting for a Camp Freddy thing, so lets take advantage of that, and answer some questions. If you read this before we go on air, post a question for either myself OR Donovan, and I will see if we can get a little interview going between us both. Post your questions today and I'll print em out at the radio station and film the answers in the breaks - and then get it up here tomorrow (if I have time).

Tomorrow is the final edit day for the Circus Diablo Loaded video - and I will be attending all day. It will probably be a long one, cos I know what I'm like once I get into a studio or a video editing bay!! I have seen an edit and it looks really fucking good!! So tomorrow is all about the final tweaks, and getting a few shots in that we all want to see - and hopefully by the end of the day, we will have the PG version and the MA version fully finished!! Yes!! I have been doing a bunch of Japanese and Australian press over the phone this week as well - lots of fun talking to those guys about the band. They seem excited by the album, so lets hope it does well overseas. That way we get to visit!!

OK - thats todays update - tune in tonight if you can. If you cant, then post a question for Dono or myself and we'll string a V-Blog together. Its about time - I know - I've been lazy!! Until next time....

Peace

Billy

DESERT DAYDREAMS

I’m getting a quick post in on this fine Sunday morning, before I head out to my favorite home away from home….Palm Desert. I figured that as my wife has a few days off, we should nip outta town and spend that time relaxing. Plus we have been working on a project together and a few days away from LA concentrating on it will probably get it finished. More on that one soon. I did wanna give an official ‘Family’ shout out to Creepy, who has had a whole week of Birthday Wishes!! Check out his gift to himself in the picture below ….a Diablo sigil tattoo on his finger!! Nice work mate! Your finger now has pride of place in the ‘Morrison Tattoo Gallery’ here on the site. And the Camp Freddy video from Dave's Spread Entertainment was actually in yesterdays post but I love it so much, its now in todays! Click the video above and enjoy a teaser from last weeks Camp Freddy show at The House Of Anything But Blues.

Merc – Actually the picture of me on the rooftop is from a clothing photosession I did last year. It was such a great day and the photographer was really cool, so we did a few ‘tattoo’ shots as well. And Fred – Actually gonna buy a new camera and start the V-Blogs thing again with a vengence. We did a ‘behind the scenes’ Loaded Video shoot blog, didn’t we? I cant remember – its all a blur!!! The Podcast page has been updated and last nights CFR is now up for your enjoyment. Todd came in and hung out with me for the second hour, and I gotta say he will be back for sure. He’s a great guy to hang with, and definitely does good radio! I believe that next week will be a return to the Morrison/Navarro tag team, so make sure you tune in at 6.00pm PST. Its 103.1FM in the Los Angeles area, or www.indie1031.fm if you are gonna catch up with us on the web.

That’s it from me – I’ll be back in a day or so with some chilled out, thought provoking nonsense from the backside of the Palm Springs mountains. Until then kids…...

Peace

ASK AND YOU SHALL RECEIVE.

Questions, questions, questions. Its all about you lot today. So let me see...Kate – Well, as far as Camp Freddy shows go, I love doing them and if we get a chance to play, we will. October would be great but we just don’t know when we get the offers. Of course with VR on the road right now, and Diablo back on the road later, it gets a little tough logistically but its been done before and will be done again.

Kate #2 – Film roles? I have been WAY lucky so far. I truly think its because I have just left all that in the lap of the Gods! I have auditioned a couple of times, but the roles I have landed have kinda just come my way.

Fred – Actually touring gets quite physical in a weird way. And yes, you do feel completely beaten up most days!! I stopped working out because I was getting cardio every day from being onstage, and tried doing Pilates about twice before giving up and succumbing to vegging out in front of the bus TV or a computer every day!! But now I am back in LA, I still haven’t kicked back into exercise mode yet!!

Beth – Great question!! Well, we were pretty well taken care of on that bus, and as long as I have an internet connection, I’m pretty much set. But if money was no object, I think a personal trainer would really be some nice icing on the cake when I’m out on the road. Other than that, I am self contained and perfectly comfortable on the tour bus.

Paul – the answer to this perennial question is the same as it always is, my friend!! Money!! Pure and simple – we would LOVE to bring Camp Freddy to the UK, but having seen the band yourself, can you start to add up the cost…..about 15 or 20 musicians at any given show (none of whom like traveling Coach!), and a crew of maybe six or seven. So you have flights, hotel and ground transport for about 26 people……and that’s before you even start thinking about PAYING the band!!! Trust me, when the right offer comes in, we will be there with bells on!!

Peebs – The highlight of the tour for me was the show we played in the torrential rain. I forget where it was now, but we rose to the challenge and the audience were right there with us. It was a fucking awesome show and being soaking wet from the moment we hit the stage just made it one of those “won’t forget this one in a hurry!” type gigs!

Cori – I have not yet seen the Harry Potter movie, although I have a few days in the desert coming up and that’s where I catch up on the films. I have done Transformers and The Bourne Ultimatum (both good flicks) and now need to catch up with Harry Potter, Die Hard and Pirates 3.

Mary – I feel that the fluid line up works for an artist like me – but probably not for everyone. I need to be involved in many different aspects of Entertainment to truly feel creatively fulfilled. Radio, TV, Writing, Performing, Movies, Web …… I cannot be that guy that has one band, with one line up, and that’s that. Everyone I work with has the same schedule (Hectic!!) so it seems natural to structure things in such a way that everything can exist together. And the fluid line up is just one of the tools we use. Plus, I get to play with many different musicians and that is nothing short of a blessing for me.

Jake – The Camp Freddy board shorts are in my closet!! ONeil Surfware made a limited run for band and crew….if you want some, bug them!!! But you ain’t getting mine!

Bratty – Touring with Ozzy is a blast. Big venues, great audiences…..plus watching The Prince Of Fucking Darkness every night doesn’t suck either!! I wouldn’t change a thing about the tour. Four amazing fun weeks. Can’t wait to see what the next tour is for Circus Diablo.

Merc – When the babies finally arrive, I will be the first to post a HUGE congrats from me and all the Family. For now, its all eyes on the bellies!!

Wow! I actually did what I set out to do this morning! Answer all your questions! So I better stop now before I waffle on too long. Thank you to everyone for being so understanding, kind and patient. We should have the Loaded video finished by next week, and we will have it up everywhere on the web then. So keep an eye out for it, and don’t forget to tune in to CFR this Saturday. I will be there, along with either Dave or Donovan (or even both! You never know!) and we will bring you more of the same madness! Until then, have a great weekend, stay safe, stay happy, and try doing something for someone else…..WITHOUT telling them!

Peace

Billy

TUESDAY TALK

It's been pretty weird just coming back from the Ozzfest like that ... I mean, we really were hanging on each day, hoping we would get through to another show, and waiting to see what the news from LA was, regarding babies and family. We scraped through to the absolute limit, but at the end of the day, family comes first, and Brett needed to get back sharpish, to be with Abby in her final days before giving birth. Ricky too has a heavily pregnant wife, so the decision to stop after four weeks was fully supported all around. If you are upset that you don't get to see the band right now, I understand. But I know you are all adult enough to appreciate why we came back, and to stand by our reasons - after all, this is a family on here too, so I know you all get it. Trust me, we were having so much fun out there - we are all upset. But the circumstances of life sometimes prevent us from doing what we love to do.

Camp Freddy at the House Of Blues was just off the hook. The set list and guests are listed over at www.campfreddy.net. I had a blast - I think my favorite moments were doing All Right Now (with Vivian Campbell and Shooter Jennings) and watching Macy Gray absolutely KILL Seven Nation Army by the White Stripes! A good fun evening all around, and here's looking forward to more Freddy activity in the future.

So whats in my immediate future? Well the Circus Diablo video for Loaded is now being edited. We have seen a rough cut and it looks SO good! We are tweaking that with the director and editor, so priority is to get that finished and out there. I also know we will be looking at dates for later in the year (and yes, we will be looking to get to the East Coast if at all possible). I would also love to get to the UK, so we will be talking with Koch about the UK release and see if we can work something out there. I have another movie to shoot as well!! I have landed the role of Detective Mickael Beck in a movie called ‘Basement Jack’ that shoots in September. As regular readers will know, I really do love the movie experience, and I am blown away that this will be my SECOND movie this year!! I will find about Evilution soon, and let you know when and where you’ll get to see it.

Finally, just in case you guys are starting to bitch and moan about stuff ... just please remember that this is cyberspace. I mean, its the web, for fucks sake. And remember that its also the Entertainment Business. That means it's not curing cancer or solving world hunger. Its rock and roll. I have to remember that every time I start to think things are not going my way. I need you lot to remember that too. And you guys have to play nice - I love all of you equally. Some questions? Ask away - its about time we did a Q+A session. HUGE thanks to Wendybird for the wonderful Camp Freddy pics. Till next time.

THE SOUND OF MINI DIABLO's

As I sit here in Dallas, TX, on the bus that has taken us from our home town of Los Angeles, to the middle of the South, it pains me to tell you all that we have to call it a day for now on the Ozzfest 2007. It has been a fantastic four weeks and we have had an amazing time. But two of our band, Ricky and Brett, have wives that are expecting babies any day now, and we just cannot continue heading east with that hanging over us. The guys need to be with their wives, and we all respect that. I hope you all understand that we have done our absolute best to get as far as we could this time around.

We will be heading back to Los Angeles tonight and we will regroup over the next few weeks and will be looking to head out again in support of our record in October. The babies will be well and truly in the world and fending for themselves by then! I hope that all you East Coast fans can hold on just a little longer – we will get there – you have my word.

For now, I have a teaser of the video for you all to check out. Its gonna look great. And as usual, when its done, it will be available here first. Above is the YouTube version, but if you really wanna see it in some kind of decent quality, you can always
CLICK HERE TO SEE THE LOADED VIDEO TRAILER.So please try and understand – a HUGE thank you to Sharon and Ozzy for having us be a part of the Ozzfest 2007, and thanks to all the bands and audiences alike that made our experience so much fun. I’ll see a few of you at the Camp Freddy show tomorrow night no doubt. Until next time.
