THE JET SET
I’m typing this as I sit in the back of a completely full flight from Las Vegas to Portland. I came offstage at The Gorge and jumped straight into a waiting car that whisked me off to Seattle Airport and down to Vegas in time to DJ at the opening of the Slash case at the Hard Rock. Slash was celebrating the opening with Robert Knight, the amazing Rock photographer who has shot pretty much everyone in the genre, and I was lucky enough not only to have been photographed by Robert many times, but to be invited to DJ at the party for him and Slash. So that’s exactly what I did! I timed everything to perfection, so that no shows would be cancelled, and I am now reflecting on the crazy journey I just made as I sit crammed into the tiny plane, flying me back to my bandmates, the good old tour bus, and a club show tonight in Portland, OR.
The Gorge was a fantastic show – totally punk rock, and the audience again were just amazing. To go up there in between the other heavy heavy bands is a challenge, and we love it. And so, it appears, do the Ozzfest crowd. As I have been saying in interviews, the Ozzfest is a very special festival. It embraces everything that is good about rock music, and the audience is not stupid. They welcome good, loud, honest rock…..and it doesn’t matter where it comes from. We have killed it at the first two Ozzfest shows, and its because we can feed off the audience. We see them screaming, shouting, smiling, punching the air, moshing and headbanging to our music. THAT shit right there is why I do it. So much fun!!
The Las Vegas trip was so quick, it almost seems like it didn’t happen. Except the dull pounding at the back of my head due to a lack of sleep tells me it did! No sooner did I get out of the car at The Hard Rock than I was hustled into SIMON, the ultra cool restaurant owned by Kerry Simon, which was where I was Djing. Straight to work, I spun for over two hours and ate some amazing food while I was doing it!! Slash, John 5, Scott Ian…..a veritable host of guitarists hung out, ate dinner and paid tribute. A good fun time was had by all.
And that’s it from me. We are landing now, and once I get back to the bus and the boys, I’ll throw this up with a couple of really cool pics from Seattle Ozzfest, taken by Mike Savoia. Thanks Mike – great shots. I’ll have a V-Blog ready for you all in a day or so. We have some nice footage – just gotta stop flying or driving long enough to edit the thing!! See you later.

Hey Billy! Due to a series of fuckups, I drove 2 hours to Portland to see you guys, only to miss the f-ing show!!! I hear it was great! Where the hell was everybody??? I got there in time to see about 5 Mondo songs...last year I drove to SF to see you all, but alas...the show was canked. So, I'm still waiting...I did talk to Brett briefly, and ask that he pass along some good vibes to you all...oh, and I forgot my wallet, so the barkeep said he'd put a beer on your tab for me...lol...so thank you!! I was gonna say hey to ya, but you were steady texting (or some such other) from the time you came out after the show until you disappeared; I didn't want to interrupt...so sorry I missed you guys once again...hope to see you sometime this summer when I'm down in the L.A. area...

Billy, saw you in Portland last night. Thought you were great! Sad turnout though...fuckin' Sunday night is the problem. Oh...but there were other things too...that club is not normally open on Sunday night at all...so even the regulars for the venue weren't there...and there was confusion about door times. My tickets said 6:00pm door time, the TicketsWest website said 9:00pm...and the venue website said 8:00pm. We showed up at 8:00pm and when Mondo Generator came on we thought at first we had missed you. Anyway, we enjoyed it a lot...and just wanted you to know. Me and my husband were stage right up front, he had the Panic Channel T-shirt on.

I have finally confirmed my tickets for the Salina show!! The guy I spoke w/said he has been receiving calls from South Dakota to Michigan for this show. I was getting a little freaked out since it is only 2 weeks out but, all is finalized. I cant wait now! I wish my husband would have been able to come with me, he knew how I looked forward to seeing Circus Diablo and he would be delighted that we wouldnt have had to fly anywhere, just a few hours drive. I am dragging (I use that term lightly, because he is excited too) my younger brother with me since I wont go anywhere too far by myself yet. Hope all is going well with the tour on the fest & clubs side. Take care- Niki

Called ticketmaster....they've rerouted my tickets to the box office. If you see a crazed redhead outside the Roxy banging on the door, that'd be me and Ticketmaster would have screwed up.

its almost 3am and i just got home from ozzfest in sacramento.....i got to meet the band.....THEY ARE THE NICEST GUYS EVER!!!! really went out of their way to meet me and make the experience uber-special
big ups to billy, ricky, & charles.......YOU GUYS FUKN RAWK'D MY CREEPYSOCKX OFF!!!!!i got almost the entire diablo set video'd....lotta good still pix too.....lotta static x & ozzy too......my thoughts are so chaotic right now.....a mixture of adrenaline...weed...vicoden....liqour....and madd luv from out diablo boys!!!....i need to try to center myself cuz im flyin so high im not even in this solar system right now.....im gonna try to write a review of the days events/adventures.....and when processed share the diablo video & pix!!!.....im bouncin off the walls so bad....i feel like beavis on crack & whippits =P.....publicly in front of like 7000 people.....billy dedictated "loaded" to.....UNCLE-MUTHAFUKN-CREEPY!!!! =P shit...i totally didnt expect that....you're the fukn best billy.....concert review and video goodies to follow shortly =P

I finally got a chance to get caught up with all the shit you've been up to... Fantastic stuff! So many good times ~ festivals, clubs, etc etc... Very nice!
Also, what a rad record dude! Kudos on the SE appearance there, that was awesome fun.
