DIABLO DUNKS
Regular readers of this blog will know JUST how much these mean to me!! Courtesy of Nike ID, I bring you...... The Diablo Dunk! Perfect. A couple of pairs of these arrived today, and I think they look amazing. Our color scheme, with the band name embroidered on the side. So I snapped this pic so that I could share the moment with you lot. I will be busting these out all summer as we tour our asses off .... and I am hearing a lot of good stuff as each day passes. Video shoot (for the single, Loaded) is being scheduled - I think we will be filming on the day of The Roxy in and around Sunset Blvd. End Caps (those things you see in all the big stores telling you that our record is out there) are being rumored for certain chains. Tour bus shenanigans as we try and lock in the floating hotel that will be home for the next few months. Lots going on, and I am trying to stay out of the results and just enjoy the process. Its enough for me to know that we made the record, and its coming out. Seems like we get to play to you guys on some shows ...... and that really is all I need. Everything else is gravey ( as they say in the UK!) Also, check out the Z104.5 THE EDGE INTERVIEW BY CLICKING HERE.. Much love to Tulsa. And thats it.
There's been a couple of date changes that I want to make you guys aware of - the venue in Tacoma closed (the South Sound Garage) so we will now be playing Club Platinum in Corvallis, OR on the same date, July 13th. And they have also added another date on August 11th in Grand Rapids, at The Intersection. I think they are the only changes right now. Gonna get on with the day. Just a quick trip by the blog to see whats happening! See you all soon.
Billy

i want some diablo trainers...
Posted by: MR Paul at June 21, 2007 05:03 PM
I don't play basketball anymore, and I never made the team in high school. I was better at track& field, and I have 7 martial belts. So there Coach Mancini!! But commuting has wrecked my training schedule so that's on hold for now. My 10-year old nephew has a 2nd degree black belt in taekwondo. He makes me look like chopped liver. His name is Brandon, kinda like Brandon Lee. Hee
I'm taking a break from Anne Rice. I'm reading my 20th Stephen King book now.
There was a book written about my love life--Dante's Inferno.
Paolo & Francesca...doomed on Earth...and doomed in Hell. Ciao

Shoes and feet...
* * * * *
"Whenever I fall at your feet,
You let your tears rain down on me.
Whenever I touch your slow turning pain,
The finger of blame has turned upon itself,
And I'm more than willing to offer myself.
Do you want my presence or need my help?
Who knows where that might lead?
I fall...
Whenever I fall at your feet,
You let your tears rain down on me.
Whenever I fall..."
~ Jesse Cook featuring Danny Wilde of the Rembrandts

(The Rembrandts did the theme song from Friends.)
I love collaborations...and Jesse Cook. HEE

Keep this girl in your thoughts today:
A 13 year old had her feet cut off on a ride at the 6 Flags in Kentucky. Poor thing.
That's like something out of a horror movie. Ouch!!

Jesse Cook took over the Yamaha. The ghost of Geddy Lee is haunting the Fender.
The bass still is and always will be Rayna Rose.
I couldn't find a bass teacher anywhere so I had to teach myself.
I used a book, a CD & a DVD.
And a politician named Belinda Stronach has the same cancer as my cousin.
I was never a fan of hers cuz I thought she was a flake.
But I wouldn't wish that on anyone.

Ok Billy, I now understand the "hurry up and wait" movie business.
We took part as extras in a low budget indie movie that part of it was being filmed at Snitch. Our friends band was in it and they had to play the same song 4 times in a row. Then the same scenes had to be shot 5 times in a row...over and over and over...ALL DAY...
The funny part was because it is a bar they were serving alcoholic drinks...so by the end everyone was looped.
BUT boy was it FUN!

Just tried the ringtone again, still nothing. Any ETA? Btw, love both songs. CFR & CD are getting me through a sucky Monday. Take care everyone! Niki

Because I'm bored...
The only reason I have a copy of the Steve Nash biography by Jeff Ruud is because Nash is a Canadian citizen. Nash wasn't actually from Canada. He was born in South Africa. His parents are British. His father was a semi-professional soccer player. (Or football if you're in London.) Nash's family moved to Victoria, BC when he was a kid. They were escaping apartheid like thousands of other people at that time. Nash overcame a lot of obstacles, including playing basketball in a country where there were not enough programs or funding for basketball because people were too obsessed with hockey. He is shorter than most of his team-mates. Nash has also struggled with shoulder and ankle injuries and a chronic back problem, among other things. And he still managed to be voted MVP of the NBA for the past 2 years.
