THE DIABLO TV COMMERCIAL

THE TV COMMERCIAL FOR CIRCUS DIABLO.
Please note that this is a large file size. A high speed connection is preferred.

As you will see, I got the permission to put up the TV commercial. Came out looking ok - and it even has that same guy speaking in it! You know, the guy who does ...."In a world.....where darkness ruled the land...."!!! Hope you like it. For me, today will be filled with emails and phonecalls while I attempt to breathe the air in the desert. It has to be 110 degrees out here!!! Anyway, back to the previous post....

Attempting to keep up with everything is proving to be pointless!! As fast as I think about doing a little update on the sites, more reviews come in, more info changes, and I have decided to just keep throwing stuff up as I get to it. And before we get into Diablo stuff here, I wanted to put up this photo - pretty much says it all ...."Nothing gets in the way of a Venti Americano!!" ... these guys had pulled over in the middle of Downtown LA, and everyone was looking at the "Bomb Squad" truck, thinking .....'er, do we need to worry here?', and then the guy came out of Starbucks with a tray of coffee for his boys in the truck! I love it - snapped the pic on the new Blackberry Curve (yes I am loving that thing!!) and voila! Here it is.

OK - so we have a nice piece running HERE ON ROCKNWORLD.COM. Its a week long piece so check out the archives as well. I chatted to those guys about a few of the tracks on the record and what they are all about. Makes some interesting reading. And I also want to point everyone over to the MYSPACE.COM/CIRCUSDIABLO SITE. We have the two new acoustic tracks up there, that Rob, Ricky and myself did over at Westwood One Radio Syndication. They came out sounding great so we threw em up on the player. Keep you all going till next week and the official release of the record.

We also heard this week that the Australian release date is July 14th. Thats good news - we now have Japan, Canada, the US, Europe and Australia. Loaded is still going strong out there, so keep the requests coming - we are looking at video treatments and ideas for the song and plan to shoot the video very soon. Probably when we roll back into town briefly for The Roxy show and the Devore Ozzfest show. And I have just seen the television commercial (yep, you read that right .... TV COMMERCIAL for Diablo!!!) they have done for us!! Its really cool and I am asking if we are allowed to post a quicktime of it up here for you all to see. Its for MTV2 and Fuse and those kinds of stations so keep an eye out in case they tell me its not for the web right now. I'll get an answer in the next day or so.

You know what .... its Friday night and I can't bring myself to trawl through any more of these emails. There are TONS of them, telling us where the next review is, what markets have added the band etc. Its all great but I am exhausted. No CFR tomorrow so I am taking advantage of the weekend off and getting outta Dodge. Lets do some Q+A next time, so hit me with your best shot.
Have a great weekend.

Peace

Billy

MORE ADD's, MORE RADIO, MORE DIABLO

Whats happening everyone? I'm back in full effect, and the big news is that your requests for Loaded at radio are really helping the cause. We are getting more and more adds each week, and the single is now #43 at Rock Radio, according to MediaBase. We are getting more spins every day and thats great news. Lets push it even further and get this song top 20 at Rock. We can't do this shit without you lot!!

Also, with the release date fast approaching (JULY 3rd EVERYONE!! - get out there and buy your copy soon), we have been doing a bunch of press every day. This week we have some acoustic on-camera stuff which is bound to surface in the next week or so. Some web stuff and some syndicated TV stuff. All I know for sure is to take my acoustic and try and look good!! We also have Rockline coming up on 9th July, ESPN2 on-camera thingy around the same time, Dave's SPREAD TV on July 5th, MusicPlus are doing some camera time in our rehearsal room soon.....its a little hard to keep track. But the reviews have been very favorable, and I am having a blast with it all.

At the top of the post is the new Metal Edge Magazine feature - a little Pre-Ozzfest piece to get you in the mood. Check it out on newstands now. And I also posted a pic that Wendy took from the acoustic performance I did with Donovan at The Hilfiger Sessions last week. It was held at The Avalon in Hollywood, and I played acoustic guitar with a string quartet, while Donovan sang Bowie's Man Who Sold The World, and Berlin's Metro. I then took over the mic and did Bowie's Life On Mars with the quartet, and I have to say I LOVED it!!! They were amazing, and they made a very difficult song to sing, seem a lot less intimidating!! I did a good job, I think, but enjoyed the challenge. A great evening, and thanks to the Hilfiger mob for making it so much fun.

There's probably a ton more to tell you, but I am running out of steam here. I'm exhausted right now, so I think I'll wrap it up and maybe post again in a day or so. Oh - one thing - there will be no CFR this Saturday as Indie will be broadcasting live from the LA Film Festival with Steve Jones. But thanks to Paul, we have the latest Podcast from last Saturdays CFR with Rob Patterson, available for your delectation and delight on the Podcasts page over on the left. That is if you STILL havent subscribed to the nifty Podcast thing over at I-Tunes. Delivers the weekly CFR fix right to your I-Tunes .....automatically you know. Wonderful.

See ya.

DIABLO DUNKS

Regular readers of this blog will know JUST how much these mean to me!! Courtesy of Nike ID, I bring you...... The Diablo Dunk! Perfect. A couple of pairs of these arrived today, and I think they look amazing. Our color scheme, with the band name embroidered on the side. So I snapped this pic so that I could share the moment with you lot. I will be busting these out all summer as we tour our asses off .... and I am hearing a lot of good stuff as each day passes. Video shoot (for the single, Loaded) is being scheduled - I think we will be filming on the day of The Roxy in and around Sunset Blvd. End Caps (those things you see in all the big stores telling you that our record is out there) are being rumored for certain chains. Tour bus shenanigans as we try and lock in the floating hotel that will be home for the next few months. Lots going on, and I am trying to stay out of the results and just enjoy the process. Its enough for me to know that we made the record, and its coming out. Seems like we get to play to you guys on some shows ...... and that really is all I need. Everything else is gravey ( as they say in the UK!) Also, check out the Z104.5 THE EDGE INTERVIEW BY CLICKING HERE.. Much love to Tulsa. And thats it.

There's been a couple of date changes that I want to make you guys aware of - the venue in Tacoma closed (the South Sound Garage) so we will now be playing Club Platinum in Corvallis, OR on the same date, July 13th. And they have also added another date on August 11th in Grand Rapids, at The Intersection. I think they are the only changes right now. Gonna get on with the day. Just a quick trip by the blog to see whats happening! See you all soon.

RINGTONES FOR ROCKERS

DiabloECard.jpg

Check out the new Flash banner on the left hand side of this site. If you click on it, you will be taken to a page with various shapes and sizes of Flash banners that you can spread around. The album is out everywhere on July 3rd and the wonderful peeps over at Koch (our record label) have set up these banners to be splattered anywhere and everywhere. So grab whatever ones you like, pull them on to your desktop, and then post them everywhere. Your MySpace page, your own site, even Granny's email in box. Let the march begin!! Also, if you click on the main Circus Diablo pic above, you will be taken to a great Flash page with our E Card and the Loaded single playing. Spread the URL amongst your friends, co-workers, family ..... whoever you think needs a good healthy dose of Diablo!

As usual its been a little busy around here but things are simmering away nicely. Loaded has been doing really well at Rock Radio, and we are now moving into getting our tour bus sorted out, rehearsals for the tour booked, and we even have two tracks from the album, Loaded and So Fine being made available as ringtones!! I dont think it works right now, but it will be in effect soon, so let me give you the details. Text DIABLO1 for Loaded and DIABLO2 for So Fine to 66555 on your cellphone - I think it costs $2.99 that gets charged to your cellphone bill. Let me know when it works if someone does it!!

Today is the free Hilfiger Sessions show at The Avalon in Hollywood. If you are in the area tonight, come on by - it should be fun. They brought in a whole "In The Round" sound system so that the bands will actually be playing in the center of the dancefloor! Whitestarr, Fiction Plane and Emma Burgess will all be playing and DJ Adam 12 will be spinning the tunes. The actual stage will be the VIP lounge, and at some point, Donovan and I are going to do a couple of acoustic songs with a String Quartet!! Pics and a full report very soon!! Hope to see some of you down there.

One more show has been added on July 31st in Abilene, Texas at the Midnight 3, which brings us to a total of 40 shows in two months. Thats a pretty decent schedule by anyones standard. We are covering as much ground as we can this first time out. And it wont be the only go-around for Circus Diablo. We are up to our necks in logistics right now, but once we get it all straight, we will start to think about September and October and through 'til the end of the year.

I'm off to hit the gym before heading over to the Avalon and spending the day there. Somehow I ended up deeply involved in the production of todays show (which I actually quite like really!) so that means I'll have a room to myself, and I'll sit there all today avoiding lots of questions like "how does the lighting truss get lowered?" and "do we have crew parking arranged yet?"!! Ha ha - I'm just messing around - I'll be there with Donovan so make sure you come over if you are anywhere near Hollywood and Vine. We'll be the hippy looking ones with the acoustic guitars!!

See ya - and check out the Podcasts page that is now up to date, thanks to Mr Paul.

Peace

Billy

LOADED IS ADDED AND TULSA SPEAKS!

Its a quick update this morning just to let you all know that LOADED, our first single, has just gone to radio, and we were in the Top 5 most added bands to Rock Radio last week. Thats absolutely great news and now we ask you to join in. If the local rock station is not playing Loaded, its time to call them and request it. The campaign begins now!!! We want this coming week to give us even more adds at radio. A huge Thank You to all the stations that added Circus Diablo on our first week out - trust me, we'll be invading your studios when we get out on the road!! And last night, we had a unanimous vote from the listeners of Tulsa's Rock Station, Z104.5 The Edge as we won an 'on air' cockfight. Loaded got every vote, so I wanted to say HORNS UP to all the rock fans in Tulsa - thank you for your support. We will be there soon!!!

A nice way to start the week, I would say. I am off to hit the gym now. The rest of the week is a ton of phoners, some shooting at the range with a friend of mine from the UK (that'll be fun - I haven't fired my guns in months) and trips to see Hostel 2 and Pirates. I will also begin thinking about this Roxy show on July 20th - we want to make it special, so we are working with Dave's SPREAD Entertainment and INDIE 103.1 on the gig. I'll meet with Todd and figure some stuff out. Don't forget - we have a tattooist from Mark Mahoneys' SHAMROCK SOCIAL CLUB at the show and we have two or three slots left for you guys to get tattooed! Email me if you wanna take one of those slots. After the last three weeks shooting Evilution, I am glad that this week seems a little less hectic. Although that can always change on a dime!! Last weeks Camp Freddy Radio is now up on the Podcasts page, and available for immediate download in I-Tunes if you subscribe to my page. Have a good day everyone. Back soon.

....AND....CUT!!!!

Yes folks. That, as they say in the business, is a picture wrap on Billy Morrison. Job done, movie made, game over. The wrap party and the premier are still to come of course, but the 3am make up sessions and crawling around the abandoned, haunted hospital are a distant memory now! I shot my last scene this morning – my call time was indeed 3.00am and I left the set as the sun was coming up. It was SO much fun to do – and I plan on doing a lot more of it. I already have another movie lined up for later in the year (which will slot nicely in between the summer touring and Diablo’s Fall plans) so I am keeping myself busy on all fronts. Many, many thanks to Chris, Brian, Eric, Alex, Rhonda, Paul, Elion, Susan, Josh and all the many people that made Evilution such a fun experience. Lets get covered in fake blood again sometime!!

OK, so my head turns to a few things now. The free show at The Avalon that Donovan and I are hosting is looming – June 19th to be precise. Listen to Indie 103.1FM or hit the Indie website for details, but its going to be a fun night, and absolutely free as well. Dono and I are going to do a couple of songs with the string quartet, which will be very different and should sound pretty awesome. And Fiction Plane, Emma Burgess, Whitestarr and others will be playing throughout the night. Its called The Hilfiger Sessions (being put on by Tommy Hilfiger) and I hope we see some of you down there.

Also July is just around the corner, and that means Diablo release day. July 3rd, people. Get out there to your local store and buy a copy of the record. THAT is what will keep the band on the road and headed in your direction. We will leave LA for the Ozzfest and beyond and I am really looking forward to finally kicking Circus Diablo into touring mode.

What else would you guys like to see on this site? I am not promising anything!! But I want to try and provide the content that you want. Obviously I will continue with the Podcasts (check it out – the Lukas Rossi show is now up, and Paul will hopefully be sending me the Dita Von Teese show soon) and the V-Blogs seem to go down well. I also intend to keep an On The Road With Diablo diary, much like I did on the Beyond Good And Evil tour with The Cult. I’ll build a dedicated page on the Circus Diablo site and link it to this blog so it should be easy to find. But if you guys have any ideas, feel free to let me know. I have always tried to let you all in as much as I can, and this is your place to hang, too. So don’t be shy – let me know and I’ll see what I can do.

I think I need to get some decent rest now, so enjoy the pics and I’ll be back during the week. For now, have a great Sunday.

Peace

Billy

THURSDAY IN THE HOOD

Every inch of my being hurts this morning. This night shooting thing is not exactly the glamorous end of film making! And my first night shoot came immediately after a day of being repeatedly slammed into a wall by stunt people in a fight sequence, so my head is not sure if its 3am or 3pm and my body is pretty much going on strike and telling me it needs a weekend at a nice spa somewhere!! What an experience this has been for me - and I am so greatful for the opportunity. Ricky and I had a day of fighting various people and getting thrown around all over the place. Even though its all worked out first, when you actually do a take, the adrenaline is pumping and things get very physical!! And then I had my first night shoot, which began at 7:00pm and I finally slid into my bed at just before 6:00am the next morning. OK so thats the movie update - let me see if I can get to some of your questions. Oh and by the way, if you want an answer to something, post it here and dont email it. I am getting TONS of emails now that I just cant get through, so ask on this site and be patient and I will get to it.

Claire - Hmm, a recommendation of a band to listen to? .... well I would certainly tell people to check out the early Wildhearts albums PHUQ and Earth Vs The Wildhearts. I would look out for the brand new band Dragons (from the UK) and also check out Marco Pirroni (Adam And The Ants) new band, The Wolfmen.

Merc - What was interesting about driving through LA in FULL infected make up from Evilution is that I got hardly ANY extra looks or comments!! I went into Starbucks wearing the full on prosthetic veins on my face, blood dripping from my mouth, exactly like you see in these pics and I asked for a Venti Americano. She looked at me and said ........"room for cream Sir?".......!!!!

Mary - Other than music, acting or entertainment in general? I would either be racing motorcycles, or living in a cave in the desert with my gun collection wearing sandals and a sackcloth robe, muttering things like "keep away from me" and "i used to be a guitar player you know!!!"

Mike - The full on Infected/prosthectic make up takes just over an hour to apply. It then takes about three days to fully get the crap OFF!!!!

Bratty - My first movie was done last year and it was a comedy called Tripping Forward. I played, YEP, another drug addled junkie!! I was a dealer called Sweaty Steve and it was just one scene.

Terri - Good questions. Well, even though Ozzy is a friend, I would like to think I can be objective about the new album, Black Rain. So my thoughts are ..... its GENIUS!!! It really is the best since No More Tears, its classic Prince Of Darkness, it was written and recorded sober, and rocks HARD!!! What do I think of Manson as an artist?...... one of the most prolific, important and misunderstood of our time.

By the way, I love that one or two of you seem to think that this is an INDIE 103.1 BLOG. Trust me, Brent and TK are NOT reading this stuff, so if you wanna comment on their shows, by all means!! Just know that no one understands what you are writing about!!!

OK - a few things you lot should know about, and a few things that can, if you so choose, involve you. Firstly, we have the delectable Miss Dita Von Teese as an in-studio guest on Saturdays CFR. If you wanna hear Miss Teese tease you, then tune in for fun and frolics with Donovan and myself this coming Saturday night. Check it out on www.indie1031.fm. Next up is the fact that we still have a few tattoo slots left open for our July 20th Roxy show. The deal is that we have a guest tattooist from the world famous Shamrock Social Club (Mark Mahoneys place) tattooing INSIDE the Roxy during our album launch party. And we have made arrangements for some real OG flash tattoos (skulls, sacred hearts, flowers etc ...... AND the Circus Diablo log!!) to be on the menu. Each tattoo will take approx 30 minutes and we have also arranged a $50 price. If you choose the CD logo, then it will be free. We are toying with the idea of making that a lifetime free entry into Diablo shows!! Whaddya think? Anyway, there are only seven slots during the evening and they are filling up. A couple are still left, so email me if you want to get inked.

And finally let me just list off a few dates for your calendars - June 19th is a free Indie 103.1FM show at The Avalon called The Hilfiger Sessions, and its hosted by Donovan and my good self. Bands include Fiction Plane (Stings son), Whitestarr, Emma Burgess .... and a possible acoustic set with a string quartet and Donovan and myself. More details on Indie 103.1 and here when I get them. July 5th will be an acoustic Circus Diablo performance on Dave Navarro's brand new Internet TV show, Spread Entertainment. If you have seen the first few episodes, then you will be addicted already. If not, I suggest you hop on over to www.6767.com immediately and get details. Diablo will be Daves guests on July 5th. Then we will be appearing on the world famous Rockline on July 9th and performing three or four songs, taking questions from you guys on the phone, giving away albums and generally being nice people!!! Check out the details at WWW.ROCKLINERADIO.COM.

OK thats it. Back to my day - back to life - back to nursing my sore muscles before I get slammed into any more haunted hospital walls.

Peace

Billy

A PICTURE TELLS A THOUSAND WORDS

I figured that in todays case, a picture really does tell a thousand words!! Yesterday was a long, but absolutely awesome day on the set of Evilution (www.evilutionthemovie.com) and part of the proceedings involved me taking a ridiculously bloody bite out of Ricky Warwicks chest!! Gallons of fake blood, hours of prosthetic make up (massive respect to Alex and Rhonda who just ROCK that shit!!) and a lot of raincoats and plastic sheeting to protect the expensive equipment when the blood started to spray, went into the afternoons scenes!! Check out the pic below of Ricky and me absolutely SOAKED in blood after a killer bite scene!!!!

SO MUCH FUN to do - and its about 7.00am and I am off to do it again!! Its another day on set, and I feel I have only just finally got all the make up and rubber off my face.....and its time to go down and do it all again!! I went to do Camp Freddy Radio last night STILL in full make up, and both Donovan (who co hosted with me) and Lukas Rossi (who was our in-studio guest) were completely freaked out when they first saw me!! The three of us did an impromptu version of Purple Rain by Prince, and there I was, sitting with both of them, playing acoustic guitar and being all serious ....... looking like THIS!!! Ha ha - good job its only radio and not TV!!

Anyway, I really need to hustle here and get moving, but I just had to share these pics with you all. Maybe we just came up with the look and make up for a Circus Diablo video!?!?!? - Whaddya think? Have a great relaxing Sunday everyone, and look out next week for a killer V-Blog straight from the set of Evilution. I have been shooting some cool stuff with my camera while I've been down there, and I will edit it all up into a Blog as soon as I get time. And yes, I WILL answer all the questions I've been getting - patience guys!!!

Peace

Billy
