THE EPIC V-BLOG!

THE EPIC V-BLOG: Your questions, my answers.
Please note that this is a large file size. A high speed connection is preferred.

So I am still having problems with the new server – but I have my peeps working on it, and they assure me that everything will be hunky dory by Monday. The good news is that none of the problems seem to be affecting this site. And with that, I present to you …… the EPIC V-Blog!! I took the camera out with me for a day, shot it all myself, cobbled together an edit …… and here it is! Make of it what you will – it’s just an attempt to answer some of your questions personally, and intercut that with some of my goings on in a typical day. Hope you enjoy it.

Camp Freddy Radio will be live this week – and Donovan is manning the ship. I am off for this weekend, and he will be taking over and guiding the show through its two hour stint on Indie 103.1FM. Call him, show him some love and I’ll be back next week.

Thanks for being patient and I know I have been conspicuous by my absence here this week, but trust me – I am making way more room for more media, more video and more of everything on all the sites. Its worth it. I hope todays V-Blog is not too big …… its 12 minutes long, so if you got dial up….. well, all I can say is I am sorry!!! I’ll get it up on YouTube as well over the weekend, but for now, that’s it. I’m off.

Peace

Billy

A day with Billy Morrison, how fun, lots of info. Great v-blog. I really enjoyed the question/answer of who stands on stage where and why, thanks for asking MB.
Look forward to more Life Less ordinary.

Happy Birthday out to Jen! Hope Billy spoiled you rotten!

Posted by: Kate at February 17, 2007 06:03 PM

high there B....i gotta 2nd what wendybird said....that was one of the funnest and most entertaining v-blogs to date!! from watching you fire assault rifles with jack to gettin all sweaty and haggard at the gym....not that there was any doubt...but its nice to see a more human being and less rockstar side to you.....i finally got dsl so im not complaining about the length.....in fact i encourage you to do more than 3-4 min vblogs....i think the camera should follow you around on your daily life more often.....thank again mate for allowing us these little glimpses into your life..
it REALLY means a lot! oh yeah be sure and wish jen a VERY happy b-day from me and the rest of the morrison family....peesh owt guys.......UC13

Posted by: UC13 at February 17, 2007 06:07 PM

A fun day with Billy! But damn...what did you end up getting Jenn for her B'day?? ;-) I thought you were gonna take us birthday present shopping!
Todd's back piece is AWESOME! How many sittings did he have to do all together?
OH and I couldn't see the steering wheel emblem, what car did you end up with?

Posted by: Robin (peebs) at February 17, 2007 06:28 PM

Billy, the long v-blog was great. I'm going to be lazy right now, and say ditto to what UC said. :D
Plus I really enjoyed the thoughtful answers to our questions. And the insight into your everyday life. I loved how you and Jack were getting such a kick out of firing those guns.
And I noticed you revving up that engine..so what car did you get? Was it for your birthday? (sssh)
Happy Birthday to Jen.

Happy Birthday to Jen, who happens to share a birthday with the greatest kid in the world....my son William, who turned 9 today.

The V-blog rocked, the answers were awesome, and Todd's back piece is off-the-hook!!! Thanks especially for the honesty regarding the "getting out" questions. I'm getting schooled in Addiction101...from a mother's perspective. It's frustrating and heartbreaking. You remind me there is hope.

Bring Circus Diablo to Little Rock!!

I love how real you are Billy, I won't even check the mail without makeup!

I just noticed you have a cleft chin, my son had one too. When he was born they said here's little Kirk Douglas.

Todd in the video, is that the infamous Todd that Dave calls when he does SRL?

Posted by: Linda from San Diego at February 18, 2007 12:03 AM

Great video blog!

Peebs, it looks like a Mercedes-Benz E-Class... ;)

Billy, is the shooting just for fun at the shooting range, or do you also use it for hunting or other practical purposes? The new hosting seems to speed up the page loading quite a bit by the way. Is it Media Temple's grid server plan or a virtual dedicated server?

Posted by: Sverre at February 18, 2007 06:59 AM

EPIC brilliance! Thank you Billy.
Loved the V blog.
Thank you for answering some of the curiousity surrounding your sobriety. Sounded like it was something that happened at the right time for you, and really sometimes a reason doesn't matter. Just the end result.

Happy Birthday to Jen!

TOTALLY enjoyed the day out with Billy Morrison and a glimpse into a life far from ordinary. But you're just so bloody normal! I don't know how you manage it! This year will be great for Circus Diablo. Is your necklace ie the triangle in the circle art? Does it mean anything symbolic? Is it reflective of Circus Daiblo and am I being thick - most likely. Did Jen make it?
Have a lovely week.

pps: Billy, I erm, just sorta nicked a slice of your text from Jan 30th (your intro) and the link to LLO - hope you don't mind and don't do me for stealing?? It's on my myspace blog titled same - just wanted to lend some support and sent a bulletin round if anyone even reads those things but if they do... xxxx

Posted by: vixen at February 18, 2007 08:42 AM

Billy,

Thanks for putting the vblog on youtube. It is an awesome clip. Thanks for sharing a bit of your life with us. Loved the shooting range with Jack! Also, nice to put a face to the voice of Todd Newman. And, what, no convertible this time? Take care and have a great Sunday! Niki

Billy-
Thank you so much for answering my question about the open tunings. Someone suggested a drop D + half step down- and that's resonating with me nicely. I'll check out the G.

Any more info on the Miami Camp Freddy show? Will it be impossible to infiltrate? Are you going to give away any tickets? Please, please, Please? Just one. I'm small- I don't take up much space!
:-)

BTW, I forgot to mention how much I love your videos!

What is the scariest thing that happened to you when you were homeless?

Posted by: Linda from San Diego at February 18, 2007 08:52 PM

What an interesting look into your life- Happy Belated to your beautiful wife. Also, good to meet THE TODD finally-cool tat!

Do you ever watch Intervention? What do you think of it? What do you do when a moment of weakness comes about and how do you avoid a relapse! Thanx Billy, have a good week :) Db

Posted by: Seth Dean at February 19, 2007 12:09 PM

Glad you liked the question Beth...I liked it and the answer! ;-) (Thanks Billy!)

Thanks for that massive blog Mr. Morrison! Loved every minute of it! And I like Peebs was wondering what Mrs. Morrison was getting for her birthday! Happy Belated Jen!

And hmm....let's see....what burning question do I have for you this week? Oh I know! A little follow up to my call in questions the last time you were on CFR....what song would you most like to cover with Camp Freddy? Has anyone suggested a song that you nixed? Who would be you dream Camp Freddy guest? (And yes I pulled a Paul and then a Daniel!)

have a great week and keep the video Q&A and the LLO installments coming!

Posted by: MB at February 19, 2007 02:54 PM

billys dream guest would be mine for a encore encore!

Hel-Lo! This is my first post here, and now I feel like the ultimate lurker geek. I am inquiring about getting tix for the Camp Freddy Show 3/17. I am already going to be in Miami seeing my friend and her new baby. It would be GREAT to sneak away to the show with my date.
Please let me know how I can score the tix. Thanks, and hope to see you in Miami! -Slice
PS Thanks for the myspace add, can I say that here?!

Posted by: BkSlice at February 23, 2007 06:04 PM

Simon,

I'm an Audi guy myself, so I'm far from a Benz expert :P I looked up some interior pics of the E-Class, and although it's not far off, the ventilation nozzles on the dashboard's far left and right are square instead of round and it also have a different design of the wood trim, so you're entirely correct that it has to be a CLS :)
