THE WEEKEND Q+A
Please note that this is a large file size. A high speed connection is preferred.
STOP PRESS: I will be joined on Camp Freddy Radio tonight by my good friend, Danny-Boy (House Of Pain, La Coka Nostra). Danny will be bringing some music with him, and will be taking calls, so tune in from 6.00pm on Indie 103.1FM, or listen on the web at www.indie1031.fm.
I told you I'd get around to it! I managed to do a Q+A V-Blog for you all this morning, before getting lost in the usual day to day routines! Its Saturday again, which means another CFR tonight - this time it might well be just me, cos everyone else seems to be gone. But I will truck my tired ass in to do the show anyway - I love doing it, and I love that Indie 103.1 let us do it. I know that next week, Matt will be back, and Dave will return from the TPC/RS:SN tour soon enough. I do know that those guys will cover it all for me when (hopefully) I get out to do some dates later in the year. It really has been a busy week, but its all stuff that there is no point in going into - until things are in stone, what's the point in talking about them, right? I can tell you that two of the new Circus Diablo songs - a slow ballad called Kings And Queens, and a rocker called A Message For You, seem to be coming out really well. I'd love to get one recorded properly and get it up on the MySpace page........ "Band meeting, guys".....!!!
Have a great weekend and I'll be back soon.
Peace
Billy.

MB and I just returned from AC and the TPC show! The boys rocked it once again! Dave looks like he's having fun but I'm sure he misses you too ;-)
We watched the Vblog when we got back to my house and we both decided that you are a little tease!! When you said about "I know I keep saying this.." about the CD stuff we were like "OMG he's a TEASE!!"
Well hopefully I'll be tuning in tonight if I don't fall asleep. We didn't leave the after-party club until 2, ordered a pizza to the room, got about 4 hours sleep then drove home for another 3 hours....But for TPC (or CD when you guys hit the road) it was WELL worth it!

Billy, great v-blog! And yes, what Peebs said..'you're a tease' :P Mind you we keep bugging you and bugging you..like 'when's the album out? and when are the tour dates? etc etc.
Is that your set up at home in the v-blog? (whoa! I want one like that)
And, isn't it great Matt Sorum has a recording studio?
So would you say most of your work goes into writing then?

Billy thanks for answering my question. "Fire Woman" is one of my favorite songs, I wish Camp Freddy would perform it. I did ask you that too, but maybe you're sick of playing that song.
I know Circus Diablo was at Canes in San Diego not too long ago, and I'm sorry I missed you guys. Will you be coming back to San Diego anytime soon? Take care sweet man. Your wife is cool and lucky to have you!

im just feeling that circus diablo will be the one this year to catapult rock back in our fuckin faces the way it should be....

You don't love me anymore. I sat by my phone....but alas, no call. Dude! Send me an email or something!
I know how it can be in the topsy turvy world of radio, so it's all good......maybe next week?

Billy,
Beyond enjoying the creative process, does the occasional CF show satisfy your artistic need to be heard? In more specific terms, do you get excited about the thought of Diablo hitting the road and "bringing it" to the masses?
Thank you,
Jay

i just want to give you "props" for being so accessible to your fans. i know you are waaay busy but you always make time to reply to all the questions that you are asked and you give a good look at what its like to be a working musician. on that note , is that a pro tools set up on the v blog? thanks

Hey Billy, haven't commented for a while and thought I would say hi. Hope all is well and that you enjoyed the festive season.
One question - PS3 or XBox 360? Which one would you buy...

Billy, It could be an idea if you post a banner url up for Circus Diablo, we could all wack it on our myspaces etc. Navarro has a url link for SRL on 6767, that's where I got the idea from.

thanks for answering my question. its awesome that there are still celebrities out there that dont forget the fans and actually make them a part of the experience.
after listening to CFR last night, i have to ask...do you think rock music will continue to be under the radar or will we see a day when its taken its place back on top. theres so much hip hop being played on the radio here ( East Coast), CFR and Indie seem to be the source to find any good rock music.

Billy,
Thanks for posting the vblog on youtube.
Nice being able to watch from home instead of waiting to use my pc at work. Enjoy your Sunday! Niki

Very interesting show! Hip Hop artists these days are business men, very clever guys! Though it's not all about the money is it?! :)
Posted by: Max Danieli at January 29, 2007 04:27 AM
Billy, can we use the banners you have up on your my space? You know on our own my space as links? I wondered if you had them up anywhere to use, add to our pages?

Ok, I have to say that I had zero expectations for the new CBS show "brothers & sisters" but I must say, I'm in! The combination of solid acting and writing, coupled with amazing direction has suckered me in, at least for the last few weeks, and if the award shows mean anything, the rest of America is there, too. But really, I could have done without the shitty reference to Al Gore's fantastic & nominated thought provoking film, "An Inconvenient Truth." Yes, I love the references, but please guys, leave Mr.Gore alone, he has been through enough already, don't you think? Rock on, oh that reminds me, you need more tunes, 2. peace.

Anon ~ Are you advertising that tv show by any chance? :D
Posted by: ylais at January 30, 2007 02:00 AM
Hi guys, we can put links to here or Circus Diablo on our myspace pages by just putting the html address in your profile when you edit and then it springs onto the page - but not sure if there's an easy way to copy the banners. If Billy would like to print the html code we can have banner links!
