EASING BACK INTO BUSINESS

So we kick off the first proper business week of 2007, and I am keen to see how it all plays out. I know we have a couple of Camp Freddy things in the works – no details of anything yet, but as usual, we’ll let you know when we have anything. And obviously, we are looking forward to getting some Diablo details happening. Our management are back in action this week, so hopefully they will let us know how all that’s going. I have two new Diablo tunes that we demoed late last year to get working on – melody, lyrics etc – so I will be concentrating on working at home this coming week and will try and finish those two tracks in my studio.

Paul has sent me the podcast from last Saturdays CFR – thanks to all the well wishes – my Father In Law is ok. A little shaken, but he’s fine. So go ahead and start 2007 by subscribing to my podcast in I-Tunes. Just click on the “Subscribe” button and it will automatically download any new podcasts every time you fire up I-Tunes. Gotta love technology. And while we are on that subject, let me tell you that the Playstation 3 is everything it’s been cracked up to be …….and more. Watching the blu-ray movies is just incredible, and Resistance, Fall Of Man (which was the first game I fired up, and finished just before vacation) is THE best game I have ever played. Now I have the machine all hooked up wirelessly to the web and can BROWSE THE WEB on my TV!!! Ahhhh…..so many ways to become a slobbering, twitching mess on the couch, unable to speak.

Tony – Well, if I was pushed, I suppose the other two in my top five would be Iggy Pop and Adam Ant. And I did know a couple of the Clash guys way back when – Mick Jones did B.A.D. with my friend Nick Hawkins, and Topper was always around on the scene. Also met Paul Simenon over at Paul Cooks house a few years back.

Vixen – my top five things? That’s a little broad, but I’ll try!! – er …… yeah, like you say, it would include playing music and scuba diving, and then maybe shooting …… and good movies. And of course, being married.

Kelly – I am not really much of a sport guy. And I gotta tell you that cricket dulls my senses beyond belief!! So no, I haven’t been watching The Ashes …… and won’t be starting to anytime soon!!!

Pelu – Camp Freddy in Europe? What a great idea!! Now all we need is the money to do it. Got any?

Max – I have NEVER thought of myself as an actor. And seeing as my acting totals about five and a half minutes of screen time so far, I doubt if anyone else does either!! I’d love to do some more, but don’t really spend too much time trying!! If it comes my way, then great.

Right. That’s it. Gonna move into Monday with another coffee. First New Year I have spent in a LONG while without cigarettes, though. That’s CRAZY!!! Have a fun week, and I’ll start thinking about another V-Blog very soon. Todays pic was chosen to remind me of the vacation that now seems months old! If I close my eyes, I can still hear the surf gently hitting the lava ........

Peace

Billy

Billy,

I see that some of your more recent vblogs are on youtube,
is there any way you can put all of your future vblogs on Youtube? It is the only way I can view them. Dont ask, my home computer is still in the stone age & looks like it will be for quite some time. We only live 4 miles from the nearest city & we cannot get broadband/dsl/roadrunner, Nothing!! My work PC blocks everything. Thanks, Niki

Billy,

Thanks once again for taking the time to answer my questions.

I am glad to hear Jen's dad is okay.

BTW, CFR is just not the same without you (No offense, Dave).

If you get a chance, go see Smokin' Aces. It is 90 minutes of pure action.

Take care,

Tony

Billy - America's Next Top Model.
That picture of you is fabulous. The sunlight looks like magic hour.

Good to hear your father in law is OK.

Hi Billy,
Thank you for answering my question. (Do you shoot real things? What do you shoot?)
Glad that your Father in law is ok.
So sweet that being married is in your top 5. Not sure if my husband would say that! lol! The words husband and wife take so long to get used to hearing and I always think "wife?" that can't be me! But then we've not been using them that long either.
The sunlight looks so golden in that lovely photo of you.
Are you going to do a book this year do you think? See that would make lots of money as well as getting it all down on paper uncensored (lol) and then you can come over to the UK for a Circus Diablo tour. Sorted!! Can you bring Dave with you whilst you're at it if you wouldn't mind? And the rest of the TPC boys? Cos despite how many times I leave messages on 6767 (website) to the effect of offering to learn to drive a tour bus - can't be that difficult, have said i will do everyone's laundry, develop biceps in order to be a good roadie and even cook chicken (as well as vegetarian options) provide bagels... AND COFFEE ... he still isn't suggesting TPC come over here on tour either. Hmmm. Really looking forwards to hearing the new tunes. LIVE!!! One day!
Lots of love

Billy, glad to hear good newz of your father in law.

Has Camp Freddy ever played in a remote place? I mean, not in a big city, just a small town gig?

Happy Wed!

Billy, I'm glad your father-in-law is okay. You seem to be happily married, how long have you been married?

Posted by: Linda from San Diego at January 9, 2007 08:29 PM

Hey Billy,

Glad to hear your father in law is okay now.

Have you ever tried Vegemite? If so did you like it?

Posted by: Kelly at January 10, 2007 01:15 AM

Hi Billy again - sorry for posting twice but it's a follow on question - HOW are tours actually worked out? Who constructs these things? Is it you guys in the band with your record company or can it even be that friends in another band are already planning a tour and you hook up, someone suggests you go together and play support? Sorry if I sound stupid.

Happy New Year, Billy!

I see that Johnny Fayva has a show on MTV - will Camp Freddy be making an appearence?

Posted by: Theresa at January 10, 2007 12:33 PM

Theresa! When & what date? Gotta luv Johnny!

Posted by: Kate at January 10, 2007 12:43 PM

Happy New Year, glad all is OK in Morrisonland.

I've been listening to Live365 internet radio (home of SRL) at work and so far my favorite straight-up music station is Plesland radio--90's grunge with some current music from those bands thrown in. Lots of STP, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, Nirvana...

http://www.live365.com/stations/plesland

if anyone wants to check it out.

Have a great day, all! Kristen and I looking forward to TPC and AoA w/Peebs and MB at the end of the month, can't wait for CD and/or CF too. Here's to a ROCKIN' 2007!

Love,
Sue

Billy,
Do you have to do a lot to your hair to get it the way you want it or are you a wash 'n go type of guy? Basically, I am asking is your hair straight naturally? Just wondering. Niki
