THATS ENTERTAINMENT
I have to say that when we are on, we're ON!!! Sometimes, doing Camp Freddy Radio can be a grind. Sometimes, you just don't wanna go in on a Saturday night, deal with the idiots in line at Starbucks, figure out some different music to play, find some interesting and witty shit to say on air. And sometimes it really is a completely fucking hilarious and awesome experience!! Tonights CFR was, at least for Dave and I, one of those nights. Drive A came into the studio and hung out, Jerry Cantrell called in and talked to us about this years AIC tour, and we had a blast for two hours. Thanks to Paul, who stepped in again and handled the Podcast duties, the show is up in the Podcasts section of the site, or it will automatically download in your I-Tunes if you have subscribed to my world. And if you haven't ..... WHY NOT??!!.

The only thing that would have made it better (if that is possible) would have been if Dave had the Webcast going!
And yes, everyone should sign up for Billy on itunes. I get double the pleasure, double the fun....not ONE but TWO podcasts because I'm also signed up for Dave's. BUT you also get to download Billy's Vblogs there.
ALSO Camp Freddy's myspace page http://www.myspace.com/campfreddy has "Merry Xmas everybody" up for your listening pleasure and you can pimp out your page with it!
Happy Sunday everyone!

I totally agree. CFR was on fire last night and it actually forced me to think of something I would rather keep buried forever. My dad played both college and h.s. basketball so he was rather good at it and it was probably his number one passion in life, besides acting, until he could no longer play. One day, after his beloved Celtics lost to Kareem's team it was no secret how devestated he was so I thought I would comfort him with the only thing I could think to say at 12 years old, "It's only a game, Dad."
What?!?!?
Why sometimes it's just better to have never met a parent, at all~~ just joking. He came off all military hard ass on me (again) and scolded me with his stern words about how it is "not just a game, blah blah .."
You get it.
It's Camp Freddy Radio!!! It's not just "a radio show!"
Hey, thanks for helping me to better understand my beloved, but nutz, father.
peace.

Hi Billy,
I occasionally post @ 6767, but this is my first time checking your site and posting here (a lot of familiar names here though - Hi all!!) .
I have to somehow catch up on your blog archives, but the blogs I've read through so far are very insightful. You are a superb writer!
BTW, I really love your past work with The Cult(iconic), but I'm also enjoying your current work with Camp Freddy as well as the weekly 103.1 CFR shows, and I can't wait to hear more about your new band Circus Diablo--so please add Toronto to the CD tour :)
I have a quick question for you.
I've just read through your Wikipedia Bio, but I'm not sure if it's accurate. It looks like the content was added to the Wiki in October, but nothing has been added or edited since then.
Have you ever considered editing and adding some more specific, personalized info into your Wikipedia bio? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Billy_Morrison
(P.S. I had no idea that you were in a movie - I'll have to check that out too).

LOL - Has anybody heard about this yet.
With Britney and now Paris cancelling their appearance hosting the Billboard Music Awards, maybe Billy & Dave should host the show on Monday (as Billy said, they should have a TV show!!)

> Hilton in a huffy over Billboard Music Awards
Monday December 4, 2006
Paris Hilton has cancelled an appearance at next week's Billboard Music Awards because she didn't like jokes being written for her.
"Some satirical references ridiculed her peers," her spokesman, Elliot Mintz, said. "Paris did not want to say anything that could appear hurtful or embarrassing about people she knows."
When representatives for Hilton and the awards show could not come to an agreement about the script's content, she decided to scrap the appearance.

Well Dave is already there. Billy would just have to get his arse over to Vegas. ;-)

Loved that you played the Def Lep cover on CFR. Hope to see Vivian Campbell on stage again with Camp Freddy some time, soon.
Looking forward to Thursday.

Awesome songs.Half the stuff you played was my first time hearing it and i had no idea some was even released yet.Doesn't make much sense why proven musicians get no label support.I guess it is for a good reason though. They don't write songs about smacking the bitches or getting high .The nerve of their lead singers for not purposely making themselves sound like they are in the middle of puberty. Also let me know if Diablo is gonna be touring anytime soon.
Posted by: Jordan Mondello at December 3, 2006 08:19 PM
btw, surrender is tight.dare I say it's better than the original.
Posted by: Jordan Mondello at December 3, 2006 08:22 PM
Any word on that possible Diablo New Year's Eve date you mentioned...?? :-)

To Dear Dave of 6767,
Hope you have a good time in Vegas. I hate Sparkle Tags too! but you were ragging on photos being "captioned" on myspace....a lot of ppl do that for their family members (nephews etc) so they don't think they are the totally fucked up sex addicted Uncle etc after all. peace. Have fun at the show and hell yes I hope the Chili Peppers take it all!! withloveme-

After you and Dave talked about the AIC 'dirt' album I bought it. Wow it's awesome, very dark, but it rocks. I can certainly see why it's the album of choice for Junkies :)
Posted by: Max Danieli at December 5, 2006 03:08 AM
Billy what's the dice thing all about on the opening page? And what does that symbol mean?
Posted by: Max Danieli at December 5, 2006 01:17 PM
Has Camp Freddy ever performed "Fire Woman"? That is one of my all time favorite songs!
Posted by: Linda from San Diego at December 5, 2006 04:01 PM
i missed the show saturday night, but caught the podcast in my office today...i nearly pissed myself through most of it...poor melissa, i really thought dave might've shaken her up a bit, but then she came back with business cards...HAHAHAHA!!! and doglady???!!! all i can say is what was up with that shit?
only bummer about podcasts is no music...ah well...still great when you two are "in da house."

ps. Perhaps you should try and hook doglady up with that guy a few shows ago that doesn't like the British. That just might be a match.:-)

Ah... tomorrow night... Camp Freddy... Can't WAIT! Billy, what time are you guys scheduled to go on?
Posted by: Kate at December 6, 2006 08:36 AM
Hi Billy,
I've attached a link that may be of interest to you (and all fans here). I highly recommend taking the time to listen to this show.
http://www.edge102.com/station/ongoing_history_of_new_music.cfm?recID=1&ell=8943&pge=1
It's a 2 hour, 2 part rockumentatry called "The Secrets of Cover Songs", and the info is astounding. The research covers a wide range of rock and alternative bands that have released highly successful cover songs.
Alan Cross, Program Director-102.1 in Toronto, hosts the weekly Ongoing History of New Music Series that is broadcast to at least 12 stations across Canada and on XM Satellite Radio, and does a fantastic job researching the topics - you will not be disappointed in any of the archived shows. Great listen!
I suspect that by the time Alan does Part 3 of the Cover Songs series, Camp Freddy's cover of "Surrender" will probably be mentioned (that is if we, the fans, all write to Alan Cross to spread the word about Camp Freddy)...
I just wish that CFs Christmas single was being released sooner and was being released in Canada so it would be part of his Dec 17th Christmas show. (but maybe if US and UK fans write to Alan, (and hook him up with the full itunes track) he might write-in Camp Freddy's "Merry Christmas Everyone" into the December 17th show.
Anyways, I'll be sending him an email about Camp Freddy in case he's not yet aware of magnitude of this band !!
