CAMP FREDDY VIDEO/NEW YEARS EVE
Hi kids. And as some of you have very astutely pointed out, it seems that Camp Freddy is, in fact, performing in Las Vegas this coming New Years Eve. Our decision was left a little late however, and unfortunately, Dave had already accepted another engagement in Vegas. So due to circumstances completely beyond anyone’s control, we will be performing without Dave. But we WILL be bringing Freddy regular, Mr Jerry Cantrell, along with Chester Bennington, to augment the line up for a few songs. Who knows who will be in the house that night – so don’t discount anything from happening!! I am pretty much in the dark on the whole thing and probably know as much as you guys right now!
And later on today, we will be releasing the very first Camp Freddy video, for Merry Xmas Everybody. It will be up on this site, as well as 6767.com, YouTube/MorrisonTV, CampFreddy.Net and anywhere else they manage to put it!! Check back later on for the exclusive first look. And if you haven't already, check the single out on I-Tunes. CLICK HERE FOR THE CAMP FREDDY XMAS SINGLE.
Although I am not taking a computer on my vacation (I KNOW, I’ve said that before, but I mean it this time!!!), technology is omnipresent these days, so I will be able to check in, see what you guys are all up to (behave yourselves!!) and throw a few random pics up here from time to time. But I am resisting the temptation to take my work with me – sometimes I think it would all fall apart without me, but the truth of the matter is that everything will carry on pretty much without incident, and that my absence is not the earth-shattering event I imagine!! I am leaving both recent posts open, so you can comment on either one - I'll get around to the questions when I can. Have fun and see ya soon.
Peace
Billy

Yes I was being very astute last night but I nearly CRAPPED my pants when I read it and have been SCRAMBLING ever since to see if I could make arrangements to fly out there. Sadly....no. The return flight from Vegas on either the 1st or 2nd is out of control. I am really really bummed and even considered selling one of my cats kidneys on eBay. HEY they can live with just one!
Have a wonderful relaxing trip! Leave the laptop home and enjoy yourself....

Billy,
I hope you have a very relaxing & fun filled vacation! Does Jen have as hard of time disconnecting from the world as you do? Wish I could talk the group I am traveling w/ to swing by Vegas on our way home from San Francisco but, with them, it would take an act of God. I WILL catch a CF/CD & TPC gig in 2007!!! Merry Christmas all!! Niki

The oddness of Emily Dickinson's later years has provided raw material for many hundreds of speculative books and papers; none has thoroughly explained her, and a fair number have only added to the clouds of obfuscating myth.
Dickinson had what appears to have been a normal childhood---was bright, witty, had friends, went to parties---but by her early 30's began a withdrawal which later became almost complete: there were occasions when even people whom she obviously loved had to speak with her from the other side of an ajar door.
Dickinson never married, and lived all her life in the family home, a large solid brick house near the center of Amherst, Massachusetts. Her paternal grandfather founded Amherst College; her father was that school's treasurer, as well as a member of Congress. Dickinson attended a local grammar school and, for about a year, Mount Holyoke Female Seminary in South Hadley. Her closest friends knew she wrote poetry, because she often included poems or lines from poems in her letters. What they had no way of appreciating, however, was the magnitude of her solitary achievement. When she died at 56 her sister Lavinia found in a drawer over 1,700 poems --- the result of a lifetime's concentrated work. And since the publication of a small selection of those poems four years after her death, Dickinson's reputation has risen; today her place among the very best poets to have written in English is unchallenged.
Dickinson's letters --- she was a great and prolific letter writer --- reveal a slow transformation of style during her 20's, from conventionally phrased well-wrought sentences to spare, gnomic, highly charged, idiosyncratic and often difficult phrasings punctuated by dashes, with capitalizations for emphasis. This latter style is also that of the poems. Short, often obscure, deceptively simple-looking, the poems have a way of focusing down the reader's attention to where one proceeds word by word, savoring the audacity and rightness of each choice.
Have a blessed weekend~

Aloha,
Preface: I've had a few beers::
Going back to last weeks CFR discussion about getting a set list together for 2007. Picture this..and don't scoff until you've thought about it.
Mark McGrath in WHAM! gear doing a rocking version of "Wake me up before you go-go".
Don't delete yet;
A chance to be creative with a song everyone knows..McGrath knows every word already... If the crowd looks at you with a "look", stop the song, say "Just kidding", and play "I Just Wanna Fly".
