ITS ALL ABOUT THE FOOD

Food, football and more food!! Thanksgiving - you gotta love it!! I am going to keep this one fairly brief, but I did wanna post and say that I hope everyone had a nice day. I am enjoying the rest and relaxation - its keeping me going until I get to hit the ocean on our Xmas Scuba trip. News on Diablo should be forthcoming shortly - lets say that I am feeling a good start to 2007 for us. That is if I can tear myself away from the Playstation 3. Its just amazing - 100% HD at 1080p (showing off my techie side for a sec) - the game Resistance Fall Of Man is just amazing to play and to watch. The BluRay movies look awesome, and I spent most of yesterday buying movies and games to keep me stocked up for the rest of the week. Nex Gen gaming never looked so good. Thats about it - gonna go back and eat some more, and find a late showing of Casino Royale. I hope you all ate WAY too much, watched at least PART of Dallas's crazy win today, and had a nice day off. Back soon.

Billy

Happy Thanksgiving Billy and family!
I watched the earlier game-Dolphin/Lions (because I'm a Phins fan) and I am glad the Dolphins won!
That's about the best thing I can say about the day. I guess that's one thing I am thankful for because families.......suck.

Anyhoo, I can't wait to hear some Diablo news!!!! :-D

Awe Peebs, our little family here doesn't suck. But I hear you!

Whoot Whoot Cowboys!!!!

Posted by: beth at November 23, 2006 10:28 PM

OH NO! I didn't mean the family HERE! I meant the ones I am blood related to!

You can pick your friend but you can't pick your relatives! ;-)

Well, I know there are so many of us who had to work and missed the whole turkey day thingy, but then what would happen to the movie theaters, restaurants, and grocery stores that must be open on holidays? Oh, and coffee, too. Work on.

Posted by: Actors and such at November 24, 2006 08:57 AM

Saw Casino Royale last night. Awesome! Tense, gritty, rough. Not the typical "Moonraker" Bond.
See ya on the 7th.

I actually had a wonderful Thanksgiving with the ex's family. Big hugs from the ex-brother-in-law, his girlfriend, the ex-sister-in-law, etc etc etc. The only one bent out of shape was the ex's current g/f. Ah well. My turkey was supreme... got rave reviews, as did my crab stuffed mushrooms and my apple pie. Booyah. I did well. I'm thoroughly trashed though now. How do people do the day after thanksgiving shopping thing up at 5 AM? Never...not in a million years could I get my butt up that early after cooking all day the day before.

So tonight, it's either Casino Royale or the Departed. Einy, meeny, miny, mo

Happy Thanksgiving (belated) to all my friends and family living in the USA.

Twas just another day here like any other.

Take care

at least my point got over in the end and over people knew what i was going on about even if i am just a kid who dosnt know what the fuck is goin on in the music buisness(i really dont) buts its allways cool to hear people to know im not the only one....us fans are left in the lurch so muc and are most times treate like animals just expected to wait outside virgin with a tenner in our hands.
not that i really give a shit but ill be honest witht the family here...most times ill download an album first -if its good ill but if not...fuck it-in my opinion i do that becuase music is so dire these days and stations like radio 1 try stabbing us with crap and it dosnt reflect the artists real work.
slate me if u will-thats my opinion.(here we go...ill never be able to post here again...)

Well, looks like I posted that comment twice for the first time. Sorry, I keep losing my connection, soon to be my religion too!!!

Posted by: Linda from San Diego at November 25, 2006 08:25 PM

I love the discussions you have on CFR.
If I wanted to hear just music, I'd switch to another station. 3 or 4 songs per hour - just right!
Keep doing what you're doing coz it's great!

I guess the Christmas single answers my question I had a while back about your thoughts on Slade. I loved them.
Noddy has to be the poster child for 'if you wanna get laid, join a rock & roll band' doesn't he?! rofl

Vblogs are getting better & better. Really enjoyable to watch - thanx for doing them!

Posted by: ozmerica at November 25, 2006 09:36 PM

Did you catch Casino Royale? What did you think?
I loved it. Re-birth of a masculine hero! For me it was Daniel Craig's physicality which sold it. Stripped down, deconstructed and re-born, Bond is better than ever. Even the trade mark Martini line was slashed with a snarl - "Do I look like I give a damn."
Happy holidays.

But I think it's great you stand up for what you believe in. I sense some real negative energy, something is not right.

Please Paul can up upload the podcast.

You know, that radio last night was intense fucking deep shit and I absolutely loved it! Brilliant fucking radio, actually and if M.S. doesn't see that than he is no longer with us, and that's a damn shame. -out.

-the part where Billy moves in towards the keyboard and thinks out loud what's next, amazing. Bravo to you 2 for the edge is back hard on.

Billy, Hope you and Jennifer had a wonderful Thanksgiving!! Sorry about the Raiders today!!! I think they got a bad call but, whaddya gonna do? Have you netflixed the cannibalistic haulocost that Dave recommended a while back? My husband and I watched it this morning. Very disturbing I must say. We had to redeem ourselves and watch the Hallmark channel for the rest of the day. Take care, NIKI.

Posted by: merc957 at November 26, 2006 05:32 PM

Loved this CFR.
I am very interested in hearing how the music biz works. The good, the bad, the ugly, the warts, the dollars both positive and negative.
What does it cost to book a venue? How much is tank of gas for a tour bus? Do you have to check out of the hotel by 12 noon like us regular folk? I got a million questions.

Posted by: beth at November 26, 2006 06:52 PM

and when you go on tour abroad how do you ship your music gear-on a normal plane taking everything as luggage or do you hire a plane?

Posted by: Paul at November 26, 2006 07:00 PM

Paul to be honest mate after listening to the CFR show I don't see why you were so angry. Dave explained it twice very clearly. He was a bit rude cutting you off but you do call the show too much and when you do, you don't make a lot of sense...you sound drunk?! I'm sure you're a nice guy but you sound like a desperate loser...note 'sound' I'm not saying you are. Please don't get offended but parts of that show I'm just thinking Paul, stop!!!

I hope you don't get offended and that you gain something from what I said.

Peace

:P

lalalalalaaaaaa

dobedo

i'm listening to cfr podcast right now. missed it again. fell asleep on saturday.

Posted by: ylais at November 27, 2006 05:24 AM

Oh my! Heated discussion on CFR. Well, you know Dave has told us lot many many times about how the biz works, about Capitol, etc. He's been way more open, and so has Billy, than any other ppl I've met, heard, seen, in the music industry.
So let's applaud them instead of getting on their case. I know it's frustrating, the business side, but it's not Dave and Billy to be frustrated with. It's the big business machine.

I know Dave has even discussed this whole thing before with music guests he's had on CFR.

Well, peace and good will to all men. :)

Billy, have you started Xmas shopping yet?

hugs
Lisa
