THE LENO APPEARANCE
Please note that this is a large file size. A high speed connection is preferred.
Its a nice quiet Sunday morning here in Los Angeles, and I am off to DJ at an event for a little while. It is a fundraiser for The Brent Shapiro Foundation For Drug Awareness, a non profit organization that is close to my heart. The event is called Rock And Shop, and will be combining a Denim sample sale with music all day today. (Just got back, and it was a great event - thought I would throw the pic up so check it out below......... the wonderful visual stylings of DJ Morrison!!!!) So until later on, when I get a chance to have a look at the footage from the last few days, and edit a V-Blog together, I figured you would all like to get a look at the appearance on Leno last week. Thanks to Paul, here is the version of Surrender as performed by Camp Freddy on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno that features our guests, Slash and Rick Nielsen.
I also just have to report that the video on YouTube.com for Surrender (not the home video with the cute dancing girl, but the one with scenes from the movie) was the most viewed video on You Tube yesterday. It has nearly half a million hits. Crazy!!! Back later at some point (when I get a chance to breathe!!!) with a V-Blog. Welcome one and all, and big respec' to all the new posters and peeps around these parts. Welcome to the family.
Peace
Billy

thats awesome stuff Billy, heres a question.
If after the album launch and it sold huge amounts pushing camp freddy futher into the international spotlight and you doing more work and shows, your life would inevitably change but what would you like to keep unchanged either personal or professional?
And no escaping this 1 this time.......
top 3 blags youv used to get free tickets or backstage to gigs before your famous days....?

Billy - you total star! I was on youtube for ages yesterday watching loads of stuff yes the surrender video - basically looking all over the web for the Leno CF performance, really delighted to get a look at it.
Go on, go on, do a Q and A session - we can delight in driving you bonkers - you know you want to.. At the least which is the one tune you hum along to in the shower in the mornings and have you a favourite Cult track that makes you smile the most whenever you think of it?
Laters sweetie!

Scott has been wearing suits lately for TV appearences HOWEVER I think his was half the Tux he wore later that night for the City of Hope charity event VR performed at. (acoustic set, pic's available on wireimage and getty.) Matt changed into a suit, Scott into a tux and Slash....well Slash wore the same leather outfit he wore on Leno! LOL
It was nice to see the guys pull double duty in one day!

Billy!
Saw you guys in San Francisco and gods did you boys blow the roof off of the Warfield. It was a brilliant show and we were left speechless which isn't an easy thing to accomplish. I'll be posting some pics and will mention the link here. Hope to see you in the Bay Area again.
Cheers,

VERY cool Theresa! I voted (as I have been for TPC) but...isn't Circus Diablo a "signed band" not a unsigned band??

Been away for a few days...was there a Camp Freddy Radio show on 7th October? I can't see any reference to it being an upcoming event in any of the previous posts and I don't see a podcast available...but I was sure Billy mentioned he would be doing the show without Dave when he did the 30th September show. Please fill me in...
Leno clip looks cool...

Good morning Billy, good morning fellow Morrisonians..haha
Hey, Billy, a question for you...in light of what seems to be happening over at 6767.com...the trolls in the henhouse so to speak, do you have an opinion on that? What would you do if people started using your blog as a virtual playground, and started hijacking names, and attacking regular posters? I can almost guess your answer, but it would be nice to hear you weigh in?
I just know that it hurts me to see people being publicly attacked...and they are some of my Diablettes, which makes it even worse.
ok, we now return you to your regularly scheduled blog,
love,
jezzi(anyone have an extra ticket for Friday?)

Alec,
Life just sucks sometimes, I know. But keep in mind in the past when you have had bad times or days even, when you looked back and said to yourself, "Damn, I can't believe how down I was just a few days ago!" Life is that way, without problems of course we would be 6 under, so embrace the changes that are being put in your path and remember that you have awesome talent and looks and damn, some guys never get what you have in your young life! Camp Teddy so fu**ing rock and you your destined for hotter chix and better times! ;)
peace,
clk
