NEW CFR PODCAST UP.

I had a mellow night of it last night - everyone was busy but me, so I went in to CFR and hung out with Darren and Jessica and actually had a great time doing the show by myself. Its not the same without my cohorts in crime, but I had fun, and you can hear the show on the Podcast section of this site now. Thanks to Paul for continuing to send me the files. And I believe that an audio file of an interview I did last week is up at WWW.MODERNGUITARS.COM. The reason I don't sound sure is that it asks me for a Log In password every time I try and hear it - but I'm sure they'll sort it out, so just check back over there in a day or two, and listen to me drone on about nothing in particular!!!!

Matt S - Security. Good question. Actually, it depends where we are, and who we are talking about. Dave in Vegas? Might wanna have a guy walking with you through the Casino. Me in Costa Mesa? Ha!!! My point is that I am not famous, but Dave and Weiland ..... those guys sometimes need a hand getting from point A to point B.

Peebs - Looking into going diving in December, but I keep putting it off, and now most of the good hotels are booked. Shoulda done it sooner. We'll see - I'm still looking cos I have new wetsuits I wanna christen!!

Mr Dixon - Thank you for your insightful and educated opinion. Your eloquence astounds me.

Julianna - Welcome back, girl!! Sounds like you have been putting some positive vibes back into this world that we live in .... we need more people like you!!

Kelly - Hopefully the album will get a world wide release. But it will be available on the web at places like I-Tunes etc, so you will be able to get hold of it, no matter where you are!!

Merc - Before The Cult, I lived in the UK and played and sung in Stimulator. That band signed to Geffen in the US and made an album that never got released. Check out some of the tracks on the Morrison Radio page on this site. Before Stimulator, I was crawling around in the gutter, consuming a lot of drugs for a lot of years!!!

Terri - LOVE horror movies!! Of the 'new breed', I think SAW, The Ring and Hostel are all classics. And I am a HUGE 'Dead' fan .... Dawn Of The....Day Of The ..... Night Of The Living .... etc!! And The Exorcist will always be the Mack Daddy of them all.

Daniel - The term 'corporate' is used to describe the shows that are not open to the public. In a way, you are absolutely correct!! But we do cooler versions of the 'airforce' base show!! We get asked to play at Sony Playstation events, Strip Club openings, Car launches ...... why dont you check out WWW.CAMPFREDDY.NET and you will see exactly what kind of events we play. I am, however, hoping that the US Airforce decide to book Camp Freddy at some point!!!

MB - I have nothing to add. Yes to everything. You nailed it - the business IS that bad, and yes, rock music is forced to find new and interesting ways of getting itself to the masses. And THAT is why communities like this and 6767 are so important.

I gotta get out of here. Enjoy the Podcast, enjoy your Sunday, and I wanna wish everyone a HAPPY HALLOWEEN. I ALWAYS know its Halloween, cos Sweet Soul Sister carves me a cool pumpkin and sends me pics!! Check out the Circus Diablo pumpkin in the picture. AWESOME - thank you!!! Till next time.

Peace

Billy

Thanks for the podcast, really looking forwards to that later. Have a great week Billy and everyone. The mellow Sunday vibe resonated through the post! Nice pumpkin. Happy all hallows eve - are you going to any parties and if you are whatchya dressing up as?

Posted by: Vixen at October 29, 2006 10:08 AM

Happy Halloween Billy!
Are you dressing up?
Do you hand out candy to trick or treaters?

What was your favorite costume as a child? What is the one thing/person that you would like to be for halloween?

Have to download the podcast from last night since Peebs and I were out causing havoc in NYC!

Posted by: MB at October 29, 2006 11:36 AM

Yes we were out on 8th Ave last night. We saw loads of people in costumes.
I saw a banana walking down 8th Ave. Which really for a typical Saturday night in NYC isn't so unusual.
There's a song in there somewhere.....

LOVE the Circus Diablo pumpkin!! I hope you make it the CD myspace avatar till 10/31!

ps: the interview is working for me fine! No registration required.
It's kind of funny the way the guy literally just rang you up on the phone!

"...and night time is gigs and the parties and such....and doing your hair!" LMAO!

Posted by: Robin (peebs) at October 29, 2006 03:24 PM

interview works ok for me aswell-and billy i disagree with you.....you ARE famous ,in my book anyway.

Posted by: Paul at October 29, 2006 05:05 PM

Thanks for the reply Billy!! Glad I will be able to get a copy of the album :D

I agree with peeps your definitely famous in my books as well and you take the time to reply to our messages, do video podcasts and generally give us the insight into a rockstars life which alot of artists (except Dave) wouldn't ever do. It definitely means alot.

...Now getting to my question, will you be getting a myspace page so I can make you my #1 friend?

Posted by: Kelly at October 30, 2006 04:11 AM

billy just out of curiosity ,
you say it costs alot to hire camp freddy but never say how much-what exactly are we talkin when you say alot.....i think you guys should come over to england and come play in my back garden....film it then sell the dvd.
that along with ticket sales and alcohol costs should just about cover it.....imagine all the press aswell( ahhhhh and to think it would be in my own back garden!)

I hop into the car Sat nite & the 1st thing I hear is Circus Diablo!

Then I realize it's indie & CFR! rofl!!!
It was still great to hear tho & I can't wait till CD is in regular rotation!

OT - if anyone wins PseudOasis tix (get it? coz Liam isn't with them? haha) & you have one left over, I'm not busy on the 9th & would love to go :)

I love that name for the Oasis show!! If win, I let ya know Oz! HAPPY BOO!! ;(

Does any1 else love/hate Halloween?

Posted by: Bird Vaczine at October 30, 2006 01:20 PM

Billy, I applaud your efforts for the online stuff, it is great. The old days of getting your favorite band or song played on 95% of commercial radio is unfortunately over. I listen to the Camp Freddy shows every Saturday, it is refreshing to hear "good" radio. Here in southeastern Ohio there really isnt any decent commercial radio at all. So cheers to you for all of your efforts, it is greatly appreciated on this end. Maybe this Saturday i can get a request in lol. Have a good week.......Billy

Happy Halloween all!! Billy what is the meaning of twerp in the UK? I am obviously going thru old CFR podcasts & still making my way thru the archives so if I repeat a question already asked just bear with me. I checked out the stimulator video today. I had actually seen it before & guess I just didnt realize what group you were with. Im getting them down now. By the way, how old is Jeremy? He looks young. He is very entertaining. Im sure there are a lot of laughs when he is around. Have a good one.

the chances of camp freddy comimg to the uk id say and slim and zilch....and even if they did it would be a corprate gig......(my garden)

Posted by: Paul at October 30, 2006 03:04 PM

Paul,

If any1 could pull if off mate, it would be you!!

(on setting up a Camp Freddy gig in the U.K.)

Posted by: Bird Vaczine at October 30, 2006 03:36 PM

right...very off topic, but for the Yanks in the group, turn onto the Travel Channel for a repeat of tonights Most Haunted Live, from the Edinburgh vaults. 3 members of the crew were attacked tonight with slashes across their backs & legs. Good haunted fun. I'm horribly addicted to this show.

And if CF does a gig in the UK...I'm using my frequent flyer miles to go!

Posted by: Kate at October 30, 2006 07:36 PM

Yeah Paul, maybe when the Stones or any # of other bands are in the U.K. uall could set up some f**ing kickass corporate gig perhaps~

CFR gig in the UK please!!!!!!!
How likely is it?
My fingers won't type the right letters in excitement. Billy - when was the last time you came back? Isn't it a great idea to come over??? LIKE REALLY SOON??? :)

And I know no one asked me, but a twerp is a pillock in the UK.... or in other words - bonehead, dummy, idiot, plank.

Ghostly noises whoooooooooooooo hoooooooooooo. Have to go buy lots of "healthy" candy for the dozens of little witches, wizards and ghouls who will be knocking on the door later.

Also, is there an email address on here somewhere we can actually mail you things?

Have a lovely day everyone. The weather is shite here - grey and wet, but for some reason I am really happy. Really love dropping in here.

Racheal / Silky.
