CHRISTMAS WITH CAMP FREDDY
I can confirm that Camp Freddy will be playing a special charity show at The Avalon on December 7th. The show will be an Indie 103.1FM event. Proceeds will be donated to the MusiCares MAP Fund, which provides members of the music community access to addiction recovery treatment regardless of their financial situation. We have no other details at this time, but the show WILL be open to the public, and tickets will be on sale from the usual outlets. More information when we get it.

When I read "Avalon" for 2 seconds I got excited thinking it was THE Avalon on 20th St & 6 Ave. Then I snapped out of it remembering 1: NY'ers wouldn't be that lucky 2: that place is kinda sort of closed (one week it's open, next week it's boarded up, the next week it's open...)due to non-payment of back taxes.

Its probably too late but..... PLEASE sell some shirts online like you did for the Katrina fund raiser. As I recall those did really well.
I would LOVE to help support that cause, but planning my trip to NAMM in January, I wouldn't be able to get out there in December as well.
If there is anything that Pro Tone Pedals can contribute, please let me know, ASAP!
All the best,
Dennis

I'm bringing more concert virgins for the appropriate sacrifice. I love doing that! What a way to introduce someone into live concerts... ah... life is GOOD! Heavy duty request for Chester again tho.

Posted by: Caffeinated Sue at November 1, 2006 02:55 PM
Yes! Can't wait!!!
Not to be a greedy bitch, but do you think there's even a slight possibility you could get Josh Homme from Queens of the Stone Age in a Camp Freddy gig?
Posted by: Theresa at November 1, 2006 04:06 PM
Thanks for the kind words guys!

Dear Santa,
Obviously you got my letter about asking for a Camp Freddy show at Christmas time. Thanks.
But did you see the P.S. about stuffing all the CF members in my stocking for Christmas Morning?
Posted by: beth at November 1, 2006 08:15 PM
Beth- cramming them all into a stocking would be like a Freddy sausage link... spicy!
Dennis
Posted by: Dennis at November 2, 2006 06:55 AM
;-)Spicy is good.
Now THAT would be a Grand Slam Breakfast.
Posted by: Beth at November 2, 2006 09:32 AM
what would you have for lunch then beth???
Posted by: Paul at November 2, 2006 09:50 AM
Speaking of Christmas, Billy Idol has a Christmas album. Yes, it's true, I wouldn't kid.

Payoff for not going to Oz till the end of the year...I don't feel so bad about missing Robbie in my home town now! lol
I called the Avalon just now & asked about tix (don't roll you eyes at me, I just couldn't resist) & the girl said "Who? Are they headlining?" bless!
@BirdVaccine - I would be delighted to take you up on that PseudOasis offer! I still have not won :( but if I do I extend the same offer back at ya!

Hi Paul. Now tell me, where you would you prefer to live: Cali or the U.K.? Be honest! :)
Posted by: anonymous at November 2, 2006 04:27 PM
cali cali cali cali cali cali.
if you lived where i lived then you would want to get out.
put it this way.....my old primary school has bars on the windows-i challenge anyone else from the uk here to tell me their first school has that!!
even in the week i spent in cali i felt like i was home and felt alive.
why do you ask anonymous?
Posted by: Paul at November 2, 2006 04:51 PM

Posted by: Paul at November 2, 2006 05:47 PM
saw 3!!!!!!! kicks ass!!!!!!!!!!!!
Posted by: alec from camp teddy at November 2, 2006 11:19 PM
i watched saw3 the other night-i must admit i expected more but it did fit well
Posted by: Paul at November 3, 2006 03:07 AM
I saw The Cult Tue. night in ATL. Duffy kicks ass. We kept waving and yelling for him but I'm sure he never heard us with all the noise.
So Far I've been able to see Dave with TPC and Duffy. Now all I want is to be able to see Billy M. at some point.
Ian was very much fun the other night. The two opening bands were very good. The First band was The Strays obviously heavily influenced by The Pistols. Billy, maybe y'all can play them on CFR sometime.
Love Y'all
Oh Yeah you people in Calif. have all the fun.
