E-BAY MADNESS
There has to be something wrong with me. I mean, seriously twisted!! I set an alarm clock for 4.30am this morning!! And its all thanks to our very own Paul. He knows that I collect certain Vivienne Westwood pirate clothes and he sent me a couple of links to two very cool tops that I didn't have. (See the pics) So I started to watch them. Unfortunately, as the sellers were in the UK, the auctions ended at 5.00am West Coast US time this morning. What's a guy to do?...... set an alarm, thats what!! I am pleased to report that I won the Orange one, but sad to say that the Blue and Gold one still remains elusive to me!! The auctioning is a real rush. It comes down to the last 10 seconds. I still can't believe I didn't get the very one I have been wanting for about 15 years - blue shirt with a gold squiggle print!! If ANYONE sees one, has one, or knows where one is, please let me know. I will make a serious offer. But I did win the orange and red, and I am very happy about it. Only problem is - now its 5.30am, I've drunk three huge coffees and the rush of winning (and losing) is still keeping me buzzed. So I am wide awake!!
A couple of questions to answer. First of all, I am sure that I will go to a taping or two of the new Rock Star: Supernova - I will just let Dave settle in first before I hit with the ol' "hey mate, let me come down and hang" request. Plus it'll be way more exciting once I have myself a little more familiar with the contestants and maybe find myself a favorite or two. And Lisa - I will actually be getting the Circus Diablo/King Mob logo (the one on the King Mob Music site that has started to crop up on the Diablo stuff) tattooed at some point. And finally - Fletch. Am I right in thinking that you travelled from the UK to see the Camp Freddy show in Vegas? If you did indeed do that, why the HELL didn't you let me know? I would have arranged something nice for you!!! At least we could have said hello!!
Big up to Donovan, who brought in Vincent Gallo for CFR at the weekend!! I haven't heard the podcast yet, but when I get it, I'll listen to the whole thing, and put it up on the Podcast page for everyone to enjoy. I heard they were burning bridges and having a right old time together!! Its my turn next week, so I'll see who I can dig up as a guest during the week.
OK - the coffee's wearing off, and I now have to make the payment on the winning Ebay auction. Definately time to go back to sleep!! See you all soon.

Billy! I used to do what you do, get up hell early or stay up until the wee hours of the morning to win something I badly wanted. But i did a bit of searching and to save me sleep, i use auctionstealer.com. It's free or you can pay so it'll automatically bid for you. Sleep is precious!

glad you won the orange shirt, and good for Paul for finding those. It's tough to find those Westwood clothes. Yep, I've done the ebay staying up thing as well, so I totally get that.
And now you're going to have us all on the look out for that elusive blue and gold shirt!
You could be cheeky and ask the person who won it. I know, it's very cheeky. But I've had someone email me when I won an auction, and I let them have the item. I had ended up with two during bidding.
Thanks for answering my question, I was going to ask again, I wasn't sure you saw it before. That will look cool.
And Dono got Vincent Gallo!? Wow!!! Nice one. Haven't heard it yet. Must listen.

But you could have just done that auto bidding thing and slept in. Ebay does get a bit addictive. Not that I know anything about that :-p
So? How was Ozzfest?
We met Brett on Saturday! What a character he is! And boy can he play bass! Now I know why you asked him to be in CD! Only one thing, I find it odd that he has no visable tattoos. What's up with that? How can he stand next to you and Ricky and Jeremy who have full sleeves! Get him to Mahoney's STAT!

Got to love that ebay auction rush. Where's the fun in using auction snipers if you have to give up the rush? Sure some items you have to have but most of the time its fingers on mouse trigger to ensure you put that extra bid in.

I have 4 planning #5. That's why I said VISABLE tattoo's on Brett because all of mine are in places covered by clothes (except my ankle tattoo but that's only visable in the summer) so for all I know Brett could have a full back piece or "I "heart" Abby" on his ass but NOTHING on his arms that you could see. So being in a band with 3 of the members who have FULL sleeves he looks like he has baby arms.
Billy, it looks like your going to take him on a trip to Sunset Strip!! LOL

we know what you meant peebs. i just took it a step further, and wondered who has no tattoos.
billy, you got me checking out the westwood stuff again!
about a year ago, there were only 3 men's westwood items of clothing on ebay. now it's boomed into almost 200 items. though i see a lot are modern.
on her site, there's the pirate boots. they have the ones like you got, and there's brown and black in the same pattern too. there's also camouflage print the same boot. ah, you've probably looked already.
