TESTING THE HTML WATERS

CF V-BLOG

UPDATE: I am trying to figure out the sporadic problems with the videos. As it stands, click the pic above and wait..... a long time!! It will play eventually!!! In the meantime, be patient as I try and work it out. Some videos (like the Breathe video) play with no problems. Other videos (like the SpikeTV one) will play ..... eventually.. They are all encoded the same and roughly the same size, so right now I have NO IDEA why one plays immediately and the other takes a year to begin!! At least the "in the post" thing is working. I'll let you know, but for now, patience is the key!!

Good morning everyone. I did remember to take a camera into CFR this week, so I got around to doing a quick V-Blog for y'all. Questions answered, Blog posted. Nuff said. Getting ready to rehearse with Diablo next week (very excited to do that) and I believe we also have a new photoshoot happening, so chances are we'll get a few answers about the schedule next week. Not a lot else to report right now. I have a couple of meetings this week (seems like life is one big meeting!) and I have learnt that a meeting means nothing. Only when a contract is signed, or the job is done, does it actually bear talking about. So I just walk into these meetings, be nice, smile a lot, and then forget about it until someone calls. I'll also be going through song structures with Ricky this week, so maybe we'll work on the new tunes as well. Thats it for now. Back soon.

Billy

That was very funny and adorable you two. Glad you

Question: Circus Diablo rehearsal-is this for a show? or shows?

Posted by: ylais at June 5, 2006 04:53 PM

Another question:
If I phone CFR will you guys be really really nice to me, I'm so shy on the phone?

Posted by: ylais at June 5, 2006 04:54 PM

^I'm shy on the phone too, but the cure for that is apparently to drink a lot beforehand ;)

Billy, thanks for sharing that telemarketer phone call with us, that was pretty freaking hilarious. You're so diplomatic!

Posted by: Bella at June 5, 2006 04:59 PM

aww..thanks Bella..I don't drink though. I have to live with it.

Posted by: ylais at June 5, 2006 05:11 PM

Glad to know that I'm not the only one getting those annoying Telemarketing phone calls. Rockstars get them too!

ok question-BIGGEST guilty pleasure...when you know you shouldn't but you do anyway ;-)

Hey Billy thanks for the Vblog (and your diplomacy during drunk dialing on Saturday night ;-))

Any "announcements" regarding the drummer for CD?

Dying to hear some of the new stuff!

And....6/6/06 is tomorrow!!!!! We will all be waiting with bated breath to see what rabbit you are gonna pull out of your hat ;-)

I got it to work =) To get rid of the delay (at least on my computer) I had to go into my preferences, then streaming and there is a section called "Instant On" and it has to be clicked to enable and then on the slider bar for play streams I pushed it all the way down to the Immediately end and the video poped right up. Thanks Billy =)

Posted by: Christina at June 5, 2006 06:54 PM

Didn't work for me yet. Ah well.

Posted by: Kate at June 5, 2006 09:44 PM

Worked fine for me!

Note: Remember to always dress nicely when in the presence of Mr. Morrison, you may be a victim of his impromptu vblog!

Posted by: beth at June 5, 2006 10:23 PM

well....i couldnt get it to play at all.....but if its of help to anyone else.....i dug the link to the vblog out of the source code.... http://www.shenon.net/BM_Media/Radio3.mov if you open that in firefox you can download it directly to your harddrive and watch it no problem.

Posted by: UncleCreepy13 at June 5, 2006 11:17 PM

worked just fine for me, but I ALWAYS use the Firefox Browser, and I have Ultra high speed cable internet, not to mention a very fast computer. Thanks Billy for another fantastic glimpse into the life that is yours...

The 'tele-blog' (bless Matt & his cute little language! rofl!!) works fine for me.
I think the secret is....DO NOT download the evil Active X!!!!
I never do & stuff always works just fine :)

I would be at Panic Channel (with the lovely Kate) but the devil is sending me to a school board mtg instead! Curse education! lol
Wish Dave Happy Birthday for me.

Oh, & Billy, that's very thoughtful of you to concern yourself with me not getting on live with you a couple of weeks ago but it's not a prob.
It was actually just easier for me to get thru than Paul.

Coffee to keep Paul awake at 3am ~ $9.75
Dropped phone calls across the pond ~ $24.50
Extra bandwith used getting Paul's requests coz CD doesn't have a chat room ~ $367.24
Volunteering to call you to relay msgs ~ Priceless!

Love ya,
Lee

Just wondering what the deal is with 060606 on myspace and the CD Site, or is it that you are just pointing out a significant date.

My fave ploy with telemarketers is to say one moment please and then put them on hold, they soon go away and I get the satisfaction of wasting their time for a change.

can you get a chippy in LA!? Love reading your site and watch all the videos and stuff.

My southern self got a kick out of you saying "ya'll". Does your lovely wife talk with a southern (Texas) accent?

Posted by: Bonita at June 6, 2006 08:34 AM

how cool would it be if you did a vblog from the roxy?!

Posted by: healtopalm at June 6, 2006 10:33 AM

Worked great for me!
Telemarketers a pain in the rear. That was funny.
Copying Bonita but I noticed you say Y'all too just like us southerners.

Much Love, Terri

Well let's see,
I clicked on the vid and it came on immediately which is good I suppose. But were you supposed to be alternating between shades of yellow and green?.. or do I need to quit drinking again?.. hmm
ok so tell Matt that he looked fine in his wrinkly shirt..it beats that odd tie and vest thing he was doing awhile back;)
and I am just going to let the whole disgusting flip flop thing go.. I've just eaten and the visuals will kill me. bleh.
Have a good week:)

Posted by: sonicgeisha at June 6, 2006 05:55 PM

Sonic I get the color variations too...but I figure no big deal. It's Billy. Finally got it to work this morning. SEE YA TONIGHT!

Posted by: Kate at June 7, 2006 12:36 PM

the look on your face when matt thinks he lost the recordings is priceless. so did he? or were they somewhere as you desperately speculated to reassure yourself that life would go on.....
tech question - when on tour, do bands rent a bus or how does that part work?

Posted by: mary at June 7, 2006 07:55 PM

Dave put on a fantastic show tonight... looked for you didn't see you, but figured you might be backstage. One of these days, sir, I'll meet ya. Lee, you were missed hon!
