BLUE

Thats pretty much the color of the day here. Blue skies, blue ocean ..... absolutely fucking beautiful. As you can see, I am starring in my own version of LOST right now - empty white sand beaches, palm trees and ocean .... LOTS of ocean. Just waiting for a Polar Bear to wander into the upstairs bar of the hotel!! I am limiting myself to emails and web access (and loving every minute of it!) and turned my phone on once since I got here. 42 voicemails scared me silly, so I just turned it off again!! It can all wait another week. So things like the new CFR podcast page will just have to wait until vacation is over. Our own Paul has started to record the shows (beginning with the apparently brilliant Matt and Slash show last week) and has taken on the official mantle of 'CFR Recorder!! I am not yet 100% sure how we will have them uploaded (YouSendIt.com is not going to be sufficient - maybe we will have them up on our own server - let me figure it out next week) so rest assured we will start to build up a nice archive of CFR's here. I'll get to it - but just not yet.

Two dives in already - yesterday was diving the Island of Lanai, with underwater Cathedrals made out of lava, and coral chandeliers hanging from the roofs of these incredible underwater caverns. Today is the Molokini dives - nice, easy dives with tons of fish. And I am building up to Saturdays dive - known as "The Backwall", it is a drift dive (where you jump in from a boat, descend and drift with the current, and the boat leaves you and picks you up further down the wall) and part of the dive is a place called "Shark Alley" - I am not kidding you!! I am deliberately jumping into waters that are named after the amount of sharks in them!! Gotta be something wrong with me!! I will make sure I have some kind of underwater camera with me on that dive. The rest of the week is pretty much loafing around, although we have rented a helicopter for Thursday morning to fly us around the island, to go see the volcano, the rainforest etc.

I miss the regular contact with you lot, but I have to say that the break from all things Web is very welcome. Although here I am typing away and staring at my screen again!! Have a great week, and I am sure that a V-Blog will appear before too much longer. Camera is going with us on the boat this morning, so we'll see what we can get. All questions answered then. Till I return -

Peace

Billy

Will do MB! it was pretty cool yesterday...they announced the free show here in Seattle at 5:30PM and within a half hour there were an estimated 5000 people there. only 1300 got tickets (you got 2 free tix per person). You could hear the band inside rehearsing...Mike Inez working on the opening bass line to "Would" (VERY COOL) and Sean Kinney even came out to check out all the people in line. cutting out of work early to go get in line since it is general admission. More later...

Whew...back and how awesome was that. Alice in Chains took the stage a bit before 9 being introduced by Layne Stayley's two dads (biological and step) and rocked through a 17 song set that saw guest appearances from Kim Thayil of Soundgarden, Chris DeGarmo of Queensryche, Ann Wilson of Heart and of course our good Camp Freddy Friend Duff. William Duvall was spot on with the vocals. Really amazing. I had seen him on the Heart special on VH1 but one song there didn't show how well he can sing the Alice in Chains catalog. Those of you that are planning on catching them at the Roxy later this week are in for a treat. Billy you will have to have Jerry get you the video of the show so you can check it out(they had several cameras rolling) well, back to your regular scheduled Camp Freddy / Circus Diablo programming...thanks for allowing me to share.

So glad you are having a blast in Maui. It's been too long since I've been there, yes I'm jealous.

But sharks? Ack! Be careful, yada yada yada, and enjoy!

Unbelieveable!!! I also love E-Ring and Conviction and they're getting yanked too...they are such excellent shows I can't really believe I'm the only one watching...WTF!!!

I'm especially bummed cause I just watched the "season finale" of Invasion this morning and now I'm really pissed I won't see what happens next!

Heard a rumor today that Shaun Cassidy (yes that Shaun Cassidy is the Creator, writer and Producer) is in talks with the new CW Network (combination of the WB and UPN) to move Invasion there.

"...sources tell the Hollywood Reporter that Invasion, if not renewed by ABC, might land at the new CW network"
