THE FAT LADY SINGS (AGAIN)

Done. Finished. Put to bed. We actually finished the record on Sunday. Did the final tweaks and sequences and got the thing ready to send off for mastering. I am very proud of this record. We kept to our initial idea of not getting carried away with studio trickery and keeping it live and raw. And on listening back to the finished thing this morning, I feel we achieved that. So now we send it off to be mastered and I'll get started on artwork. I am sure that Ricky and I will have a few meetings soon about different ideas we have for the record. Billy will be off any day now on The Cult tour, so we will head up the 'think tank' for release ideas. But thanks to modern technology, we can email, call, IM and Webcam him anytime we need him!! Crazy! And for those of you listening to CFR last Saturday, you will have noticed that I busted out the Ants cover from the record. Hope you caught it.

With the Oscars fast approaching, Hollywood again becomes a gaggling mess of parties, drunken fools and a LOT of agents in dark suits!! I shall, no doubt, attend a few of these little soirees and will give you some inside reports from them. As for the actual nominated movies ..... well, I dont even know what they are this year! But no doubt Brokeback Mountain and Walk The Line will clean up. We shall see.

Leon - VERY interesting take on my recent trip into the 'blackness'. You are probably right. You cant go 'Up' without coming 'Down'. A very important rule of Physics, and also the first thing you learn when you start taking drugs!!!

Shad - I actually checked out The Cult TV thing this morning. And I thought the band sounded great. Of course I miss playing with them - it was a lot of fun. But they are doing their thing, I am doing mine, and I am greatful to have been a part of that in 2001.

Paul - No. I havent met Axl. Yes I have heard the new GnR stuff (....er....!!!) and all the Freddy hats sold out two years ago. When we get the new site FINALLY up and running, we will have new tees, hats etc. And yes, I am going to work out some Circus Diablo tee shirts soon.

Simon - Current artists that inspire me include Incubus, The Darkness and Oasis. But there are very few 'Trent Reznors' or 'David Bowies' out there.

The tattoo pic seems to have excited a few of you. Glad to have been of service! And with that, the day is fast catching up on me and I have to leave the house now. I know I keep promising another video blog, but I PROMISE I'll get it together this week. Leave your questions on this post, and I'll do em all on video. Maybe I'll get this 'Gun Range' Blog together - its about time I got out there and 'blew some shit up!!' OK - take it easy everyone. Have a great day and play nice together. Back soon.

Peace

Billy

billy,

since you do live out in the belly of the liberal beast i was wondering what some of your friends in the indusrty{ music, actors, etc.} think about your new hobby of shooting. being from middle america myself i too find it a bit of a stress reducer to go out and pop some targets or clay pigeons.
thanks,
leon

hiya!
per a conversation going on about The Sex Pistols and the letter to the HAll of Fame, that's going on over in Music News on the TPC board between Joe and I (hi Joe :P this is all in good fun)-
Do you consider John Lydon an Idiot? Did he only write songs about Anarchy? Is he really anti-establishment, anti-music industry?
Would Lydon and Henry Rollins get along? Or would Rollins see Lydon and kick his teeth in?

Or better still: John Lydon and The Sex Pistols versus Henry Rollins and Black FLag? Discuss. :)

How exactly does this entry into The Hall of Fame work?

Hugs
Lisa

Billy,

The Clash, Mick Jones or Joe Strummer, or Both?

Billy, I loved the track you played on CFR. I cannot wait for the cd.

That pic would be an awesome tee -shirt.

I have a question for you .How do you remain so unpretentious?
You've been in the business for years, and I love the fact that you are refreshingly honest.

Also I heard an internet rumour that Camp Freddy is the next season Of RS? True?

You guys are smokin' in that pic!

And, I'm bored, it's 1am here, what can I do???!!!

Hey Billy, forgot to ask on Saturday, are you going to be playing onstage at Rock and Roll induction of our dear Ozzy?

Are you going to be one of Dave's SRL rotating hosts?

What about Circus Diablo getting a myspace page, so we can pimp the music on our own sites?

Better still, what do you think of Circus Diablo being one of the Indie Artists featured on SRL?

can you tell I am going on a lot of no sleep?
love!
jezzi

Better yet to what Jezzi asked...you all had a myspace page, but it seems to have been closed, will it be coming back? It didn't have much on it at the time, needed some love when it came to pics and music, but thought eventually you all would have it worked out, oh well. I am assuming it is gone and I didn't get tossed off the list, oh well.
It was nice to hear you chatting with Dave on SRL, you all were a lot of fun to listen to!
