JUST CHECKING IN AGAIN

What up everyone? I just updated the news section of the Circus Diablo site and there is a funny clip of me recording up there right now. One of my old Les Pauls developed a ground problem, and had a terrible hum going on. After a little while, we discovered that if I shoved the jack of the cord between my toes, it eliminated the hum altogether. Genius. Except that trying to play the part with the guitar propped up in the air and my foot wedged onto the cord was a lot easier said than done!! All part of the creative process I'm sure, but weird nonetheless!! CLICK HERE TO SEE THE VIDEO. Other than that, there's not a lot going on right now. I'll do the usual Sunday selection question and answer V-Blog this weekend, and no doubt I'll take a camera into the studio tomorrow - we are in for a few days straight so we should get a lot done.

The pic today is from the acoustic thing that Ricky and I did - thats Rolan Bolan singing and Brett Hellings shaking his moneymaker between us. Not the greatest quality pic, but what the hell. News of a CF show or two is slowly filtering into my world. Nothing definite or locked in, but you know you'll read it here first when its 100%. I am currently trying to finish a song called PILLS in my own studio, which will be the title track of the movie Tripping Forward. Time is a ticking and I really need to knuckle down and finish it. Trouble is - so many Netflix movies arriving, so much Tivo to get through!! Watched Red Eye last night - not bad - Rachel is very cute and does a great job, but the story was a little far fetched. Good entertainment though. And I am trying to catch up on past seasons of 24, and THAT is some dedicated television viewing, I can tell you!! But I am going to sign off and turn the studio computers on right now.....for sure.....absolutely......right after I watch a quick episode of Commander In Chief!!!

See ya - back tomorrow.

Billy,

Nice to hear about PILLS being the title track on the TF soundtrack, any ideas if the powers that be have any plans to release it as a single to radio? It's high time we hear some Billy Morrison on the airwaves in one way or the other.

Loved the CD studio clip, keep 'em comin'. I got an LP that hums like mofo as well, haven't tried the barefoot/toe-jack method just yet, but I will now!

Thanks,
Jay

Talented feet! And very amusing!

Can't wait to hear about possible new CF shows, and hopefully, open to the public CF shows.

I've got Red Eye shipping and hopefully waiting for me once I get home tonight. Looked decent enough. Have a good one all

Hilarious video! If you can't fix it, you could start covering Clash songs & call yourself Toe Strummer.

More CF shows? Yay!

Looking forward to hearing the Circus Diablo stuff.

You mentioned Invasion recently. I've never seen it, but my friend Bill got a part in one episode, playing an alien. He said it was fun, but once they got him all suited up in latex, he had a panic attack & needed a cigarette to calm down!

Very cute Billy. You've got me all excited now about Camp Freddy, but I will try to calmly wait for more news....try.

So funny, playing holding the cord with between your toes. Had that problem before but never thought of using my foot! I would've been so tempted to tickle that foot. I'm surprised no one there did. :P
Pleased to hear you're doing the title track of Tripping Forward.
When you're writing your own music, how do you get started on it? I mean what's your starting point, and process?
hugs.

So if I remember from a loooong time ago we all had a little discussion 'round here about the art of the mullet, so when I saw this shirt
I knew I had to

share.

Well, that's it from me for now =)

Hey Billy,

Are you going to watch the Super Bowl? I am in Windsor, but being right across the Detroit has made things crazy around here. Hell, we even brought in extra "ballet dancers" for Windsor's world famous establishments.

Got my Cult tickets:) Life is good. Won't be the same with out you though :(

Glad you are watching 24... what season are you on? It is addicting, got many people hooked.

Have a good weekend...

hi billy, i've been a little busy lately, as i see you have also, so my question is from a while back. is that a mil-spec 45 you shoot? the picture from the shooting range looked like one, which is what i carry, great choice. and i also know very well what it is like trying to play on a open stage like you did at sundance when your fingers are freezing stiff. those infrared heaters only keep you warm if you stand in one spot and never move, and even then it's not much help. stay well, and thanks for all the help!

Billy,

I just wanted to drop by and say hi. I haven't been around much since my move. I am staying really busy with work. I can't wait to hear what you are cooking up.

Got any new gear you've been playing with?

I caught the last half hour of tonight's CFR. You both sounded so relaxed, and I loved Gwenyth's gentle observations about the phone lines. The conversation with the gentleman about having your baby in bed with you was beyond words.

all this, and the girl rocked some Radiohead. Nice.

Thanks. I needed that.
love,
