LETS GET IT STRAIGHT

OK - lets get this straight already, so that no one runs away with any silly ideas. First of all, as I have already written, Matt Sorum is NOT in this new project. He already has Velvet Revolver and Camp Freddy. He does, however, own a studio, so he has been helping us with the recordings. Co-producing etc. And secondly, why does the term 'supergroup' get so widely used? Circus Diablo is nothing of the sort. Billy, Ricky and I enjoy writing songs together, and we are enjoying the process of recording. There is nothing 'Super' or 'Group' about it. Its a few friends making music. So lets not label it as such. Finally, this project band will not be getting in the way of any Cult related happenings, VR stuff, Camp Freddy shows or anything else. Nuff said.

Comments

Note to self: no using the term supergroup around Billy, or scolding ensues.

I say bring on the two Billy's, and whoever else wants to go along for the ride for that matter. You can call yourselves a string quartet for all I care.

I love the two Billy's .

What is the deal with Cult related happenings?
I notice there is a link on Circus Diablo to Cult Us??

That Flavia coffe machine is covet worthy.

I guess you could think of it as the same kind of thing as the Loop Experiment. That's what I took it to be anyway.."let's have fun, and go with the flow."

Nuff said..that reminds me of Wolvie! :D

Anyway, I'm glad you clarified it. (again!!)

Awwww, shucks... and to think I had already made 42,000 "Two Billy's Supergroup" t-shirts...

;-)

I've been absent for a minute...seems I've missed something. Anyway...on to my own selfish agenda...Billy, I LOVE THAT COFFEE MAKER!!! I think I must have one...

You've had some time to use it a bit by now, bottom line...do you love it???

Have a nice day tomorrow...I believe I'll go shopping :)

Well said Billy bout the supergroup thing. How does something like that spread so quick and get blew out of proportion. It's just some mates writing songs and jamming. Dude you should have kept that under your hat and just hit us with the songs. When people label things and try to heap pressure on it kind of puts you of doing things as there is an expectation. I hope the project and the tunes keep happenin as I for one and lookin forward to them.

Keep Rockin'

I hope you will continue to share your projects with us despite the few daft arses who conjure up 'silly ideas.'

We'll call you FFMM (few friends making music).

Creamy mochachino...yum :P
Billy to the 2nd power, yum (and about time! that's alot of charisma. You think the stage can handle it?! ha ha)

I've been enjoying the new video blogs you've been putting up. Imagine if we had these things in the days of the heights of Led Zep and Floyd. Technology can foster some nice interactions.

In your career thus far, what are the most 'Spinal Tap' moments that stand out in your memory? What is the most extreme behavior you have witnessed by a fan? Funniest behavior onstage/offstage by another member of your band? Most unexpected road incident? I think you see what I'm going for here....give us more of that british sarcasm and humor :D

Cheers!

Cool.

Seemed pretty clear to me, Billy.

People always like to hype up things that aren't there and ignore other shit that's actually happening. Why don't those of you into all this supergroup shit find a new artist/band that could really use that attention? Fuckers!!!

Posted by: Spencer at January 12, 2006 09:54 PM

soo....will this no strings attatched band be doing any shows anytime soon??? (pretty please with cherries on top!!)

Posted by: Abby at January 12, 2006 11:09 PM

I'd call the folks over at Blabbermouth a bunch of flaming ass monkeys.. except I like monkeys far to much to lump them in the same category as those imbeciles.
hmm how 'bout ..fucktards? yeah that fits.

I forgot to thank you for the movie review. I won't bother with Hostel.

I LOVE the video blogs.

Now about Lost ,I still love it but they wait way too long in between new shows. I really like the new character Ecko.
Ana lucia, No!

Billy, have you ever covered the bowie song The Man Who sold the World?

Luvxxxx, Terri

Billy, please keep telling us things on the blog.
I don't like the idea of 'keeping it under your hat'. :(
I like this place because it is more open, and straightforward, and we can all joke with each other on here.

Blabbermouth? Looks like I missed something (and it's probably a good thang).

It's FRIDAY people! Thank Frickin' God!

Posted by: Kate at January 13, 2006 10:35 AM

The bottom line is that people love The Cult. Blabbermouth is a tough freakin crowd, and you hear so much respect and admiration from the majority of them towards The Cult- REGARDLESS of the bands current/most recent/full line-up. Yes everyone has their favorite line up, but people love that band, and, more importantly, the timeless music they wrote!

Take care!

billy,

gonna switch gears from the circus diablo thing {it is one of the coolest band names i've heard in some time}and ask if you have had the chance to watch jack osbourn's show "adreneline junkie"?
gotta say the kid looks good and has some major balls to climb up "el capitone". your thoughts since you are a family friend.
thanks,
leon

Dennis~I wanna know why then I spent so many years being teased for being into The Cult back in the 80's?! (in the states)
:P :D
Man, people can be harsh. It's so ridiculous.
What I did really get ticked off about was someone on that Blabbermouth thread had made fun of Eric Clapton for his son dying. I'm all for joking around, but that just had me going HUH? Oo What's funny about that? That's going a bit further than being a 'tough crowd'.
On top of that Blabbermouth may be good for PR, but it would be nice if they checked their stories before posting them. Usually, I stay away from there. I don't trust their news, nor do I enjoy the type of 'commentary' that goes on there.
I only found the place, because I once had google/yahoo alerts for a couple of bands, and I kept getting alerts for stuff on Blabbermouth.
I've stopped getting those alerts.

I think Dave had a good idea of making up a totally outrageous story about aliens, or an encounter with the Loch Ness monster..and letting the press run with that. I can see the headlines now, can't you? (rofl)

hugs to all,
Lisa
