POSITIVE OUTLOOK

BillyNoShirtGSTQemail.jpg

Another day, another dollar. Or not!! Lets see what today brings. I have a business meeting at lunchtime, followed by the first day of recording some stuff in a studio in Hollywood. As per usual, more details later. But I am looking forward to getting out of my own project studio and into the real deal again. I get to strech out, relax and let the engineers do their thing. All I have to do is be creative, and no waveform crunching in the computer is required!! Gotta love that. The day will run late, so I am preparing myself for some midnight oil burning, coffee drinking, cigarette smoking, ear splitting fun.

Not a lot else to report this morning. Just felt like checking in before the day kicks in. I am feeling a positive outlook on things at the moment. I love that we are gradually attracting more people here and that they are posting. I think next year should be fun around here, with some choice Camp Freddy moves, a project album or two (If I am lucky) and the continuation of Billy's acting efforts!!! TPC will no doubt be on the road, Velvet Revolver will knock out another album, I am sure, Camp Freddy will continue to grow and morph into whatever it becomes (and maybe that record will finally get finished as well!!) and maybe a few other gems will find their way onto the road. I have learnt that if you stay out of the results, and just enjoy the process, it becomes a whole lot more fun. So I will continue to do whatever is put in front of me, and leave the thinking and stressing to someone else!!

Cori - You know what? I never did finish that Potter book! I will be going to see the new movie next week, and maybe that will inspire me to finish reading. I just got ..... distracted!!

Zannebee - Thanks for the tip. I LOVE the Dolls, and I knew nothing about that movie. It is now on my list as well. Along with another one I knew nothing about - Fear Of A Black Hat. Anyone seen that?

KCee - Wolfmother have also made it onto Billy's "Check Em Out" list. I will get around to it for sure. By the way, did anyone hear that Boys Wonder track I played last week? Does anyone else think its as genius as I do?

Helena - Welcome to Morrison's little world!! Glad you posted. And Santa is on the guest list for Vegas, so jump in the sleigh and come as his plus one!!!

UC - No drama. Didnt think you were being impatient at all. There IS a problem with the downloads, especially with PC's. We'll figure it out for sure. Oh, and your Lost post had me in stitches!! You are dead-on!! They have us firmly hooked, and the whole "other side of the island" story was just too quick. Now I have even MORE questions!!

Alec - I own one of each of those amps. They don't make the 900 anymore (although it is available as a 'Vintage Reissue' in the UK. The 800 is available in the US as a 'Vintage Reissue' and the 2000 is a current model. The 2000 will give you the most diverse range of sounds. Also, consider a used 'Jubilee' model - the Slash model. Sounds amazing. But if I were you, go for a JCM DSL 2000 100watt model. I just bought one and its fab.

Twisted Angel - No East Coast plans at present. I did hear a Detroit rumor, but that is still SO unconfirmed, and isn't until next year even if it does happen.

One more thing - I am well aware that I have been meaning to finish the tweaks on the Radio page (and sort the video out as well) for days now. But it just got a little busy for me and the next few days are solid. So I havent even had time to pick up the phone and have a conversation with our site guru, Allison. But I will. I promise. After the weekend. I do wanna get that page happening, because I want to learn how to add tracks, and throw up some old shit for a few days, a rare track for a week or so ..... you know, keep it fresh and changing, so you get different music from me sometimes. But right now, I have to concentrate on whats at hand. Even more patience please!! Allison and I will get together soon, and finish it.

Goodbye, adios, farewell - gotta go. Peace.

Billy

The legion of rock gods writing meaningless rubbish on the internet increases by a factor of one - Billy and Dave, you are not alone.

Pete Townshend has a blog.
http://boywhoheardmusic.blogspot.com/

It serialises his book.
There is a reason the book is serialised there.

It links to his girlfriends blog.
http://rachelfuller.blogspot.com/

She links a streaming media file for the Who's live induction to the Hall of Fame UK.

The streaming media then cuts off to an interview portion for an upcoming DVD, featuring a guy I initially swore was long hair Billy, but then my eyesights not too good.

Her voice is pure Black Cabbie "Go Saarf of tha River at this time of night guvnor? Your avin a laff mate!"

Anyway, my point is:
Pete Townshend is desperately boring, just like the rest of it. And apparntly is proud of the fact. And why not?

Still, he does have a lot on his plate. His carpet doesn't fit. Tut. Tut. Tut.

"it" should read "us".

Whoops.

Billy! You have a t-shirt suntan!
You need some time by the HoB pool.
Wish I could rock in Vegas but I'm heading to the other side of the planet - not a bad reason to not be there I guess! haha
Have fun Kate!
To all you Doheny-ites (or are we BillyBloggers now?) I wish you all the Jingle Bells you can handle for the holidays & a safe & happy New Year!

...."Billy's acting efforts"?? I didn't know you were into acting. That's awesome. I'm in college for it right now, and it's a really difficult thing to get involved in and especially to do well it. Best of luck to you!

So I'm reading the Hollywood Reporter this morning, and knew many of you would appreciate this, especially after last night:

'Lost' deal hatched for mobile
The Emmy-winning hit is spawning a second series for mobile phones in a deal soon to close with a major U.S. carrier, sources said. About 20 episodes -- each several minutes long -- are being shot next month in Hawaii to hit phones sometime early next year. Titled "Lost Video Diaries," the series will introduce two characters said to be stranded alongside the cast featured on the primetime version. As fans of the series know, not all of the dozens of survivors of the fictional plane crash depicted on the series get screen time. While the story lines of the pair will be new to "Lost" viewers, the events depicted in the primetime version will inform their story lines.

One more way to spend that money...
Have a good day all!

Has anybody given away the ending to you yet???? If you are still in the dark, I'll be amazed! I'm dying to know if you suspected at all what would happen.

On another note...what are your Thanksgiving plans?

Have a terrific day! :D

That's me above...not anonymous, just forgetful!

Posted by: Cori at November 17, 2005 10:45 AM

Billy , maybe you can talk to your bandmates and have them consider some east coast gigs.

I tried to get the Dec .4 to work for me, but couldn't rescheldue a lot of stuff.
So I hope I will get another chance.

Uh-oh I just read Gary Glitter is in trouble.

Laurie you will be missed! Enjoy Oz!

Ok.. I know this wasn't opened up for captions, but I have to:

Caption: GOD SAVE THE KING!

Posted by: Kate at November 17, 2005 11:13 AM

ROFL Kate! Now look what you've started!

CAPTION: I'm Captain Billy...I believe I can fly!

Cori and Kate - There Great! How about?

CAPTION: I think it is time for a group hug!

Posted by: julianna at November 17, 2005 12:04 PM

Terri, I just read the same thing about Gary Glitter.. and if found guilty, could be punishable by death penalty, eek. Seems like he's had some history going on..

Posted by: Junebug at November 17, 2005 01:21 PM

Thanx Kate! xx
Well done on the caption idea - I couldn't resist...

CAPTION: 'I once caught a fish this big...really'

Anyone remember that scene from the movie Dave? Makes me laugh just thinking about it.

Posted by: laurie tuttle at November 17, 2005 01:32 PM

ok, I'll play...Billy as LEO...."I'm the KING of the WORLD!!!"

now, remember Billy, my tip from a few months ago..CASINOS!!. they are local, and there are quite a few of them in your favorite place...Palm Springs!!, I will be seeing INXS+JD in January, since the San Manuel casino is ten minutes away from Redlands..

Helena!! Do go to Vegas girl, you need to join us fellow CF addicts, once you start, you can't stop

Laurie! yes...Billybloggers...sounds almost like a curse though, Billybugger..BloodyBillyBloggerBugger...hahahahha

I have to say ,I loved the Boys Wonder track, maybe on your radio page, you could have Billy's obscure track of the week, kinda like Dave wanting to give some love on Camp Freddy Radio to bands from that era

ok, off I go, does anyone know how I can get a copy of last weeks CFR burned to something other than an mp3 player, which I don't have, my computer accepts only windows media files to burn on Cd, if anyone could burn me a copy onto a regular CD,I'd be willing to pay!!!

thanks

Tina~ ANY TIME! You can come hide out anytime.
Email me hunny bunny. :D
I'm still in the moving mode. Packing has temporarily ceased out of the sheer boredom of doing any more of it. Been doing the business side of moving, like making sure the movers show up on the right day; and it's exhausted me. I'm half asleep right now...see you all later when I'm half awake instead. Oo

Posted by: ylais at November 17, 2005 05:05 PM

Billy~What are the two tattoos on your belly? I can't quite make them out in the pic.

Posted by: ylais at November 17, 2005 05:08 PM

Yeah...what ylais said!! Actually I found myself looking at this pic and trying to picture what wonderful new tattoo would go with what you already have. Your body is...shall we say..."inspiring". Come on over and we'll hook you up!!

Posted by: Bonita at November 17, 2005 05:47 PM

Bonita! :D I was thinking the same thing! What next on the tattoo front? I had a vision of a snake curving around, wrapping around body..(wish I could draw it on here)

Posted by: ylais at November 17, 2005 05:55 PM

Hey All,

Doesn't look like I will be able to make it to the show. We had to spend alot back in Sept. cause my dad had a heart attack and I had to go take care of him for a month, and it would cost a bit either if I flew or drove. I live in Colorado so it would be a 2 hour flight or 12 hour drive.

So I'll take a rain check on the show Billy. Hope everyone enjoys their Friday.

Hey Billy ive been talkin to Dave.. heyyy you need to make a myspace too an an aim screen name hahahaha and go on i chat. soo we talk. well ill talk to you tomarrow

Posted by: Alec from Camp Teddy at November 19, 2005 12:45 AM

Hey Billy,
You should be a guest dj on Dave's "spread live radio"! that would be awesome.
And I agree with Alec, you need a myspace too...

Posted by: Twisted Angel at November 19, 2005 06:25 AM

Yes, Luke, come over to the dark side...muahahhhah
I will put you in my top 8!!
I don't know about myspace, it makes me feel unpopular, adding friends you don't even know, just so you don't look pathetic. For the first six months, I had two friends, and one of them was Doheny, my son has over 1000 friends, and I'm not one of them..
I want Camp Freddy on myspace, though, that would rock!

love you, Billy
jezzi

Posted by: jezebel at November 19, 2005 07:45 AM

Jez, I've been your friend on my space for ages!
I had you in my top 8; but you didn't go on there.
I don't like that top 8 thing anyway. I want more than 8 friends in my top space. I like that I could change the first few I had there...but I don't like choosing 8 people to be at the 'top'.

Billy, heard you on Dave's Radio broadcast from home. That was cool.

Love Lisa xxxx

make new friends
but keep the old
one is silver
and the other's gold
