HACKING UP A STORM

lost_800x600_lilly_01.jpg

Everyone I know seems to be getting this bug and trust me, its not pleasant. Been in bed for two days, hacking and spluttering my way through hours of daytime TV. I've watched everything I have on both Tivo's, and now all I'm left with is bad afternoon movies with Chuck Norris or The Young And The Restless!! Apparently our web girl Allison now has it (sorry Al!!) but as you can see, she has fixed all the major bugs now. The main page is perfect. I'm really happy with the look. Very clean and uncluttered. We'll do a few things to the Radio and TV pages but that will be it for now. Welcome one and all.

Let me clear something up with this Vanity Fair Camp Freddy show. We ARE playing in LA on 19th, but it is NOT the Vanity Fair party that we have done before. The show we are playing is a private party for Grey Goose Vodka and The Sundance TV Channel. I believe Conde Nast (the publishers of Vanity Fair) are involved somehow, but it is NOT the Step Up Charity thing that we have done a couple of times already. And we ARE playing in Las Vegas on 22nd - the same day as the Vanity Fair thing in LA. Hope that clears up the confusion.

Simon - Tivo is a genius little box that is basically a hard drive running between the cable TV and the TV set. It records anything you want and enables you to set it to record a whole series every time an episode airs. It will basically change the way you watch TV forever. Fast forward through commercials, pause while you answer the phone .... hold on a minute ..... maybe I should be the 'Official Tivo Spokesman'

QQQ - Thanks for the kind words. And I am glad you came in to see the show. We had a ton of fun and I hope you did, too.The CF CD is in the works (as it has been for ages!!). It will be finished when we get around to it.

Ylais - RIP Ronnie Barker. A great British comedian, and responsible for many laughter-filled Sunday nights in my house.

OK - The LOST shark discussion is officially open, here at the Morrison blog. What is that stamp on its tail? Is it a machine? Thoughts and opinions to the usual address ......

Guys - I have to get outta here. I cannot stop coughing so its back to bed for me. I am really happy that the Blog front page seems to have been ironed out now - its business as usual from now on. I'll check in tomorrow and hopefully will be feeling a little better. Adios muchachos .....

Billy! your answers beg more questions! Where in LA, can Camp Teddy and I sneak in again, it was SO much fun the first time ?
and, Vegas, is it a private show as well? Can you at least give a clue to the venue?

Now, back to bed!

love,
jezzi(FIRST!)

Can you believe this? Dave C is looking for jobs for ME in the newspaper!

Posted by: ylais at October 5, 2005 08:37 AM

I'm running off to apply for a job with Grey Goose Vodka so maybe I can get into the concert. (I am applying for the 'taste tester' position.)

Posted by: beth at October 5, 2005 08:51 AM

Billy! Hope you feel better, drink some oregano tea, flushes all the mucus out (along with other stuff)!

I miss having digital cable, and playing hooky or being sick, and watching all the Indy sleeper movies..

Hey, do you need a roadie/stage"set up" person?? Wouldn't it be nice to see a woman among the men?? (trying to pimp my way in to CF VF gig)...

Posted by: Junebug at October 5, 2005 09:22 AM

Bide your time and let rest kick the bug. Hope it goes away for you soon though.

I'm with Jezzi...is the Vegas gig private as well? :P You know your fans have to at least try to work their charms in! Also, I know Jerry Cantrell will be in Houston the 22nd, but can you tell us who else will be playing at the shows on the 19th and 22nd?

Again, take care and feel better :)

Billy, wouldn't you love to have some goth chicks up on the stage dancing at CF gig? (lol. hint hint)
Tina, are you in?
How about the mud wrestling thing girls? (wink)

Lost Wages may be calling our names.... private or public? (and do they have a restaurant with a door that leads to the stage area when no one is looking to stop us)?

Viva Las Vegas!

and I MISSED the tag on the shark?? I usually catch everything. Can't wait til 9 PM tonight!

Posted by: Kate at October 5, 2005 11:09 AM

The Lost Shark...isn't it so tempting to think that the shark is/was a machine? Or is that a branding, like they do on cows? hmmm...did the polar bear have the same 'brand' but we didn't see it? and I hear that same logo/brand is on stuff that's in the hatch. Is that the control centre down there?
Kind of reminds me of the bridge of a space ship? Or it's a LAB? Oo... I'm just doing a free association thing here.
Hatch=hatchery.

Posted by: ylais at October 5, 2005 11:28 AM

The logo that's on everything in the hatch is on the shark.

Posted by: Terri at October 5, 2005 01:01 PM

Manufactured Shark....

Manufactured Others????? Just thinking out loud.

Posted by: Kate at October 5, 2005 01:07 PM

That 'logo' is like one I have on a BaGua (Pa Qua) mirror, which is octagonal, trigrams around the outside, mirror in the center.
It came with a Feng Shui book I got a few years ago.
There was also a combined zodiac, i-ching trigrams, compass 'board'. I've been going nuts trying to find the thing. I have too many books.
The mirror is supposed to be for protection from "evil spirits". Could this mean simply that the 'logo' on the shark means it's a protector, or defense mechanism? Could protection, or defense, be the link between the shark and the hatch?

"“Eight House Mirror Theory.” This book says nothing about mirrors as a remedy, but rather, it infers that after performing calculations based on the eight directions, you will have the answer before you as clear as a mirror."

lisa, the mud wrestling is for the other billy but ok for the dancing goth chicks. ;)

oops not on 29th.. 19th oops hahaha

Posted by: Alec from camp teddy at October 5, 2005 05:14 PM

Hope you feel better Billy.....

I am tellin' ya, start watching "24". Start with season one. Your cold will be gone before you know it. You will realize that you watched 18 hours straight cause you have to find out what happens. That's how I got hooked. I was sick one weekend and ended up watching the whole season.

Take care,
SSS

Posted by: Sweet Soul Sister at October 5, 2005 06:31 PM

The shark can't be a machine... didn't we see it bleed?

And as for 24.... Billy, you haven't watched it? That's tragic. I agree with SSS, you won't be able to walk away from it once you start. (Runs away laughing as she gets someone else hooked on yet another TV show...)

Posted by: flamingheart at October 5, 2005 07:18 PM

the shark could still be 'manufactured' though.

Posted by: ylais at October 5, 2005 08:35 PM

I forgot to add this about the logo, the logo on the shark has a different shape in its center (it looks torpedo shaped to me). the logos in the hatch on stuff have something like a yin~yang symbol in the center. i can't tell from pics if the trigrams around the sides are the same on the shark, versus the hatch items. i mean you'd need a shot of both logos large enough, and high res enough to read. Since you can read/interpret trigrams, and convert them to numbers. (or vice-versa)

Hey Billy i know this response is a little late but wanted to say that the Camp Freddy show at the key club last week was a blast. and it was great to hear you sing not one but two songs. i think that was even better than the first time i saw you guys back in January (i think it was). and Rob Zombie was kick ass. thanks again for making my one night off amazing.

What? And you don't need tapes or anything? Fast forwarding? Pausing?...jeez I wish Australia would get more technologically advanced

JEZ!!! Buy me a Tivo machine and ship it over please...

oh, Simon, my love, just because I was able to outbid you for CFR, don't think I am made of money, lol! I would if I could though, mate!

Billy!! how goes the battle? I actually watched a whole episode of Lost last night, my first, it's hard for my destroyed attention span to watch only one show at a time, but I did it, hold the applause!!

ok, hope you are feeling better, hi Alec, Kate, Lisa, and all my fellow Morrisonians!

jezzi(November 12th, mark your calendars!!)

The website sure seems to be rid of the bugs. lol
It's working really well!
@Kate - ROFL! Somehow it makes a show extra-special when you get to it through an unguarded door eh?!
