DRAMATIC TITLES FOR EVERYDAY OCCURENCES.

People Onstage!.jpg

Walking Pneumonia. Thats the label that they have attached to my condition right now. SO very dramatic!! I drove back from having the X-Ray's done this morning, thinking about all those big long titles that actually mean something a little more mundane. The worst culprit is the much overused "Influenza" (you've got a cold, people!!). So anyway, I am now on all kinds of stuff to clear the infection, and although I will admit to having some difficulty breathing (now I suppose THAT could become a problem in the long run ..... breathing is kinda important, right?!!), I intend to rest up, do what the Doc tells me, and I have every confidence it will clear itself right up.

This means that I should probably cancel the all-singing, all-dancing trip to Vegas this weekend, for the One Year Anniversary of the nightclub, Body English. The Killers and Motley Crue are playing, and I know it will be the usual debauched, well-fed, high stakes poker affair that it usually is - but you know what?.....I've done it many times before, and I am sure I'll get to do it many times in the future. I figure a weekend of rest would be a lot better for me right now.

Jezzi - Unfortunately, THIS particular show on 19th really is a corporate thing, so you'll have to be content with some pics, maybe a smidgeon of video, and a full report from yours truly!

Muse - We are still working on both line ups, although I know that Jerry C will be doing the 19th, but NOT the Vegas 22nd. As usual, we dont really know who's doing it until the last minute, but the usual suspects are always a safe bet.

SSS - I know, I know. I will EVENTUALLY get my 24 buzz going! I just have too much else on my plate right now - Medium, Surface, Threshold, Lost, Invasion, Rome, Extras ..... so MUCH to watch!!!

Danielle - Glad you enjoyed the show. Thank you for your kind words.

Simon - TRUST me. Get searching on the net and find the Aus version of Tivo. Then run quickly to the store and BUY IT!! You will freak out.

Terri - I am SO with you after watching last nights LOST. But we cant give the game away for those who haven't got to the second season yet. All I can say is - 4, 8, 15, 16, 23, 42.

I hope you are all happy with the site. Apart from a few tweaks on the Gallery page ( I wanna change the sound - it bugs me) and the Radio Page (Allison is removing the hidden links, and putting up a menu and an MP3 Player, so you can have easier access to the 12 songs I have put up there) - I think its all pretty much a wrap. I know she is moving on to a redesign of the Camp Freddy site next. All video for all sites has to wait until the sick drive returns from hospital, hopefully restored and working again. So enjoy. I am off to lie down and think of more illnesses that have ridiculously dramatic names. Got any juicy ones? Let me know - I could do with a laugh!! And check out todays pic - it makes me chuckle. Looks like I am saying to Vivian Campbell ..... "what the hell are you playing? It doesn't go anything LIKE that!!!"
Till tomorrow

Peace

Billy

Love today's pic!

I hope you really do take good care of yourself Billy. A friend of mine was hospitalized last Thursday night with double pneumonia and they would not let her go home for 5 days, then said she needed to stay in bed for another 5 days! She said she thought she just had a really stubborn cold or bug and it just snuck up on her. So, there is your dire warning of the potential consequences of not following the Doctor's orders! ha ha

Feel better soon!

PS...I really liked the sound on the Gallery page...thought it was kinda cool in a twilight zone sort of way :D

EXECUTE!!! It's all good, Billy, turns out I have to save my money as the son would like to squire a lass to the homecoming dance..*sniff* he's all but lost to me now!! (hee, hee, I said LOST)

besides, I have my own private audience to look forward to, speaking of which, can I make suggestions as to track list, please? I'd like to be able to play a bit from all the CF boys, Camp Freddy, TPC, Doheny, and whatever else I can pimp!

ok, now, there was a case of SCARLET FEVER going around the schoolyard last week, isn't that what Beth in Little Women died from? and what about the rhuematism?

love

Hey Billy,
I came down with Glandular Fever last year and after it for about 3months I was constantly tired and a bit week. Apparently that was Post Viral Fatigue Syndrome. Random question here, you versus navarro in a poker contest, who do you think would win?
Hope you feel better soon,
Selks.

Billy,

Not sure about dramatic names for illness but I have a few that will make you wonder what the hell the designated disease namer was thinking.

1. The Clap - Who knew one could get applause for aquiring an STD?

2. The Bends - Sounds like a prerequisite for an aspiring Cirque de Soleil performer.

3. Cat Scratch Fever - Not only a staple of the CF setlist of late but an actual medical condition.

A good Thursday to all.

Thanks,
Jay

Ah Billy, sorry to hear it's worse, not better yet. This is an excellent excuse to catch up on all the programmes tho. But take the time, trying to do too much too soon, and you'll have the 'non-walking' pneumonia version.

Great pic of you and Viv! I need to think of a caption, everything I've come up with thusfar is lame. (long ass day and I am TIRED). Later all!

Jezzi! Keep doing what you are doing girl!

Wow!! pneumonia...that's no picnic .
Good idea to stay away from performing for a while.
I lost my voice to that a while ago...

It's always nice to stay in and order some good reading material from Amazon.
Take care.

I have one comment about the new site. The writing is too big so have to keep going from left to right, right to left to read everything. I don't if anyone else is seeing this !

Posted by: P in France at October 7, 2005 02:20 AM

The writing looks fine to me. I don't have to scroll and my monitor has a small screen.

Posted by: ylais at October 7, 2005 03:48 AM

Billy, you be careful and get lots of rest.
The site looks great.

I hope you get well soon, will you be on CFR tomorrow?

Follow the doctors orders and get plenty of rest. I just got home from spending 3 days in the hospital with it. Hope to see hear you on Saturday night, but will understand if you are not there.

Here's one. Pseudotumor Cerebri, which I had. It's a build up of spinal fluid which put pressure on my occular nerves causing double vision. Had to have the spinal fluid drained 4 times via Lumbar Puncture (Spinal Tap). Finally relieved the pressure, normal vision was restored. They said it acts like a tumor, but it's not. Uh, what?

Sure hope you feel better soon!

Hey Terri,

Rain is on The Cult's 'Love' album.

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B000007VCM/qid=1128732292/sr=8-2/ref=sr_8_xs_ap_i2_xgl15/102-0902878-3482505?v=glance&s=music&n=507846

An incredible album... I suggest you run out and buy it right away. (honestly, I'm not biased in any way whatsoever) :-P
