HAPPY 4th TO ALL

Billyalt_3

The long weekend ..... and I wake up this morning with NOTHING on my calender!! Blissful, lazy day, watching DVD's and just hanging out. I truly hope that you all have a nice day off, and that you eat far too much at the BBQ. Just wanted to check in with everyone, before I hit the sofa and veg out for the day.

So - did you see the comet that they blasted yesterday? They say its for scientific reasons.....but I believe it was just like the movie. It was heading straight for us and they had to do something!! I believe that they secretly sent Bruce Willis up there last night to save us all!! Either way it looked really cool on TV.

Apologies for the lack of CFR this week - Dave and I had no control over that. We got an email Saturday morning saying that Indie were doing some kind of block party, and that they wouldnt be running the show. Never mind - we are back to normal next weekend.

Now then - Glad you all liked the review, although I have no idea about Duffy's knees being sexy!! Not sure where that came from, but you know the saying ......."Whatever turns you on!!"

Jezzi - I'm not a big fan of BBQ myself. If I inadvertently find myself at one, I suppose shrimp is my skewer of choice, but I'll be the one eating the chips and dip in the corner.

Live 8 - I watched what I Tivo'd last night and I dont believe I saw it all. I mean - no VR, no Robbie. Did I Tivo the highlights or something? I'm bummed cos I really wanted to see it all. From what I saw, The Who were amazing, Linkin Park were shit, Green Day were VERY brave, covering We Are The Champions, and everything else was just kinda ok. I did think that Floyd's Money sounded cool. And the whole Hey Jude finale thing was just a touch too ..... random....for me. Great idea, but the TV sound at least was appalling. But HUGE respect to Geldof, who really does believe in what he does, and we could all learn a thing or two from him.

The coming week holds a few interesting things for me. I have a couple of days writing on this 'project' that I have been working on, I have my Eye Surgery on Thursday, we finally tackle the hardest song on the Freddy album this week (dont wanna give the title away, but it really is a tough song to cover) and I have wardrobe for the movie that shoots the following week. Nothing really to sink my teeth into, but a lot of little things that add up to a productive week. And Doheny's management return from their trip to Europe, so I am sure that we will be having a "Whats going on, what do we have, how do we do it" kind of meeting with them. But for now, the main decision I have to make is if I should go see War Of The Worlds on a holiday monday. Two schools of thought - One is that LA is empty cos everyone has gone out of town. The other is that they are all hiding and are all deciding that its movie day today!! Hmmmm - what to do.....

Have a wonderful day and I'll be back soon.

Peace

Billy

Hey Billy ~~

Not sure which channel you Tivo'd, but if it was MTV or VH1 then you got shite. If you Tivo'd the ABC recap then you certainly wouldn't see VR or Rob.

The only way to view all the Live8 gigs was to watch online at AOL.

They're setting up an 'on demand' feature and will keep the gigs up for 6 months. Do yourself a favor and watch the AOL broadcasts - no annoying VJs, no commercials.

DEFINITELY go to AOL & watch! The streaming was/is amazing. I never thought I'd be saying thank god for AOL but mate....fuckin' awesome!!!
You will be sooooo proud when you watch RW - he completely STOLE THE SHOW!!

On another subject...just watched A Knight's Tale again yesterday. That video is one of my absolute favs. How much fun was it to do....& do you still have the battle axe?

Have a safe & insane 4th!

We had AOL on here too, as well as BBC for Live 8. AOL worked exceptionally well. Plus it tipped us off who was on where, so I'd put it on the TV.
VR and Robbie were both in London, so I got lucky there! :D Robbie was excellent, as in
having fun with the crowd, and pulling a funny face into the camera. Yep. I was giggling at his antics again. I think the crowd did most of the singing. But they seemed to all be enjoying that. VR. Whoa! Everyone in VR was incredible. D_Wez, I can't believe someone there didn't enjoy it. That was a huge overcrowded scene though.
Johnathan Ross made me laugh afterwards. They cut to him and Paul McCartney in the interview room, near the stage; and Ross said to Paul, "See I told you not to let your kids near the dressing up box" The stuff he gets away with saying.
Me. I'd provide a very large dressing up box for the kids, and adults.
Love and hugs to all,
Lisa
(Thank you Jez! xoxox)

Wanted to see War of the Worlds myself tonight, but the 7-year-old son won the coin flip and the hubby and I will be suffering through "Shark Boy and Lava Girl" in about 30 minutes. Gotta love those bonding moments (or as we call it in our family "bondaging")!!

Yes aol was the shit.

You don't have to watch the whole thing. You can do a search for the artist you want to see (cough VR, cough VR) and you can see their set. Freakin incredible
