MONDAY MORNING

Billy_by_deborah

Hi everyone. So the first thing I should clarify is that Dave was just riffing about the Doheny album release party at Rokbar!! We havent signed a deal and we havent recorded an album yet!! He was just being a bro and kinda putting it out there into the ethos!! Sorry if anyone was misled by that - believe me, I want to have the launch party at Daves bar.......we just have the small problem of actually making that record first.
London doesnt seem to be happening now. We were looking at flying over to play at the Live 8 Afterparty, but logistics just seem to be conspiring against us, so for now it looks like we wont be there. A shame, but I promise that when the Freddy album comes out, we will come over to the UK and do one or two shows.
I am typing this from the Camp Freddy studio, as we put the finishing touches to another song. Its starting to get exciting now - two songs mixed and mastered, and now we have a third very near mixing stage. I'm not gonna let the track listing out just yet, as I would like the album to be somewhat of a surprise, but rest assured, what I am listening to right now sounds fucking amazing!!!

Doheny are still talking to various people about the album. More showcases to do, more meetings to take - boy, this business really is a 'Business' these days. Sean is on a vacation now, but we are booked to re-convene in the rehearsal studio for the month of July, to do these showcases and get the plan together again. Management are doing their thing, and we are just hanging out for now. Its a frustrating time, but we all have to be patient.

TV stuff continues - I just knock out some cues and bits and pieces in my own studio, which is fun, and keeps me making music, which is what I love to do. And the stuff I shot earlier in the year (the VH-1 I Love The series, and the Home James thing, along with the Bonaduce show (I did the Theme music) all come out in the Fall. So I am keeping busy - but have to admit that the frustration of getting albums done can definately get to me at times.

Bonita - The cook in my house is whoever's cooking in our local restaurants. We eat out nearly every day - cant really be bothered to cook anything. If we eat in, its delivered - an Indian, some Chinese ...maybe some pizza if I'm having some feelings!!

Cori - People say I am a 'chip off the block'. My Dad raced motorcycles, doesnt care what people think of him, and is a very respectful, honest and loving guy. In short, he is someone that I admire, and its great to have them over here visiting right now. We took the parents to Rodeo Drive on Fathers Day to see all the old Ferrari's at the Concourse De Rodeo - fun times.

Seems like its my turn to do some backing vocals, so I'm gonna snap a quick pic to post with this later(I'll put a couple of pics up tonight when I get home from the studio), and get to work. Until then, heres a pic of me that I actually like a lot - taken by someone in my family. I hope you guys have a good week - thank you all for hanging around here. I'll be back later in the week - until then....

Peace

Billy

Damn! Dave totally had me on CFR about the album release. I thought it was strange that you were going to be in London when it happened - or were at the time of the show, anyway. Good that it's out there in the ethos, though.

Looking forward to the new Camp Freddy tracks & album. I love when you sing!

(can we spank Dave for getting us going about the Doheny album? :P )
Hiya everyone! Billy!!!! Great pic! May I use it as my avatar on the tpc board?
I'm really excited about the Camp Freddy album. I know it'll be fantastic.
I'm so happy you have your parents visiting, and I hope they're enjoying themselves. Is this their first visit to LA. or the US?
When I said domestic, do you do housework, I meant do you do anything around your home, can you iron your own shirts, sew on a button...? Ordering out, great move. I can't stand cooking now. It's gets in the way of other things I want to do!!! lmao at Tina's retort can she hire you? You know that may be a good charity thing. Hiring celebs to do some cleaning or DIY for you!!!
love and hugs

Billy-Keep your chin up. Perseverance always pays off regarding the record process/getting signed. Glad to hear the CF record is coming along. Can't wait to hear it. Be well!

Billy,

After hearing "Jailbreak" and "20th Century Boy" from the forthcoming CF album I can't help but get excited..which leads me to this...

Seeing as how it's logistically impossible to tour on the record, how much of a push will the label give it?

Thanks,
Jay

Hey Billy,
since the day in the car when your mate inspired my son to drive me insane with continuous renditions of 'SportsChalet' the expression in our lives for anything bad,sad or annoying is...Curse that Dave Navarro!
Bike tyre flat? Curse that Dave Navarro!
Stubbed Toe? Curse that Dave Navarro!
Turtle escapes in the backyard & we spend 45mins looking for it? Curse that Dave Navarro!
'Just riffing' about a signing party is a definite Curse that Dave Navarro!

Sad to hear your not going back to London - no rockin' Live8 after parties, no strawberries & cream :(
You know what we'd say if we were you???

Love you guys....really!!!

Curse that Dave Navarro!!!!

come out, come out, wherever you are
All outs in free!!
