MEET THE MORRISONS!!!

Billy_1

Not sure what this pic I've used is from, but check out the powder blue cord bondage suit!!! Jesus, what was I thinking! And what am I pointing at??

SO .......

Anyone listening to Camp Freddy radio on Saturday will have realized why its been a week since I posted on here. One word ......PARENTS!!! My parents live in Africa (no idea why, but they do!) and I've seen them maybe four times in the last ten years. So when they decide to visit Jen and I, life comes to a halt, and I find myself doing things like showing them the pier at Santa Monica, looking at the stars on Hollywood Blvd, and of course, visiting the Getty again! Yes folks, its been 10 days of tourism, and parental stuff. Not a bad thing, and of course, always nice to see them. But things are different when they visit, so I just wasnt able to get to posting here. They left yesterday, and it really is back to normal now!! Anyone see Meet The Fockers??

This week looks to be a good one - today, I run through the songs that Camp Freddy will be doing in San Francisco on Wednesday, with Chris and Mickey from Incubus. Just a couple of hours running through the ones we are rusty on, and showing Mickey a few things. We'll do it at my place and its a no stress hang. Then I meet my Tech at my rehearsal studio to go through the equipment thats going up tomorrow. This afternoon, I have to meet a couple of people, and tonight, I'm gonna sit at home and veg out in front of the TV. Tomorrow, I have my consultation for my Lasik surgery - VERY excited to be able to see after all these years. A little nip and tuck on the eyeball, and thats it!! Then I spend the rest of the day writing with a couple of guys I have been working with on a project. More info later on. Wednesday and Thursday is San Francisco with Freddy, and Friday is a full day over at the studio with Mike Clink, working on the record.

Doheny took the month of June off, and I am dying to get back to work with those guys. We have rehearsals booked for next week, and a meeting with our managers, to discuss what options we have regarding the record. We have showcased, written great songs, done some cool shows, and flown across the country in search of a decent deal. You guys have been amazingly supportive, and we all believe 100% in Doheny - I suppose we need to figure out what our next moves will be. Its tough out there, and I am very lucky that I get to do a bunch of other music in my life.

Next week also sees me shooting my scenes for the movie!! Its called Actor, and my part is a small one, but I am still proud to have got the part (my first movie part!!) and I am looking forward to shooting it. Once I've done it, I'll post a diary on the whole thing.

Is anyone looking forward to Wily Wonka as much as me?! Johnny Depp in the best movie role ever - a deranged chocolate manufacturer!! Whoever wrote that character was a pure 100% genius! And I cant wait to see Depp do his thing! Watched Be Cool on DVD last night and I was really disappointed - Get Shorty was brilliant, but this was yet another 'not really that good or funny' sequel. Hollywood is churning out some right shit at the moment.

OK - so I'm back, writing my usual nonsense on a monday morning. I promise I will be posting more regularly now - for those of you who care about the day to day life of Billy Morrison!!! I have decided to put up the rough cut of Mark Racco's video for Evergreen that was shot at the Viper a few months back. Karen has the Dohenymedia.com site running and has been looking for content. So I am going to provide - Karen, I'll be putting some stuff in the mail this week. Email me an address, and I'll send you some stuff. And thats it from me - hope you continue to hang out here, and thank you all for your support. Questions welcome, comments too - opinions always valid!!!

Peace

Billy

Welcome back, Billy, can you tell I didn't listen to CFR on Saturday, bad jezzi, bad!!

So glad to hear that there are still people in the world that have parents that they are HAPPY to spend time with, gives an old mother like me hope.....

I'll be going back to the Getty myself next week, then LACMA to see my friend King Tut, then Vegas to the Bellagio, to check out some Van Goghs and Monets...then off to Laguna to the Sawdust Festival,Billy, have you and Jen ever been there? Good times, good times...

By the by, had a call from a guy at NCMEC about the Camp Freddy Auction I won, saying there is a problem with my background check, namely, they don't have it yet, lol

Quick, let me host soon, before the jig is up!!
love to you and yours
jezzi(Hey, whilst you're in San Francisco, could you look for something I left there?)

Happy Monday Billy...I've missed you!!! Glad you had a nice visit with your family, though.

When you have your Lasik consult...be sure and ask them what they plan to do if an earthquake occurs during the procedure...yikes!!! (For some reason that has always been in the back of my mind when I consider Lasik) :p

I too am really looking forward to Willy Wonka...took my Nephews to the movies this weekend and the Wonka trailer was the highlight! (no joke!)

Have you seen any of the Harry Potter movies??? If so, have you read the books at all or just seen the movies?

Anyway...enough rambling...have a great week!

Billy,

What's the word on the CF Frisco gig? Beyond the guests mentioned in your post, who else might be joining in on the CF fun? It's always cool to have a little inside info beforehand you know..

Thanks,
Jay

Wow, you hadn't posted since I went on vacation! Sadly I just left SF yesterday - please tell me the Camp Freddy gig is something that's impossible to get into. Lie to me, Billy... lie to me :)

I've been super excited for Depp/Burton/Willy Wonka for years. I remember when they were talking about casting Marilyn Manson in it years back. Probably his dream, and a lot of other people's nightmare! I'm a huge fan of all of the people involved - including family of the original writer Roald Dahl. He's written tons of great childrens books and almost all of them have been made into a movie or a television show. (James & the Giant Peach, The Witches, Matilda, The BFG, etc.) He also writes adult books - he's one of my favorites. So yeah - two more weeks!

Have a great week, Billy!

I also love Roald Dahl books, such imagination!

So what do your parents think of the Hollywood "scene"?

Posted by: Junebug at June 27, 2005 11:52 AM

Billy,

Glad you had a good time with the parents.

You're going through with the lasik(?) eye surgery? I’m thinking about that when i get older and actually have money (I'm blind), but I’m afraid of them messing up. My eyes are my income... will you please post all about it after you go through with it: what happens, how do they do it, does it hurt... Please.

Oh, and I can't wait for the new Charlie and the Chocolate Factory either, Johnny should be great in it, as he is in everything.

Bonjour Billy,

I just returned from Paris... well a few days ago. Looks like I have some catching up to do. I did try the snails, they were OK, not as nasty as I thought they'd be. I liked the crepes the best. Hope your vacation was good! Now I guess I'll go read the rest of your posts and find out if it actually was....

BTW Roald Dahl's books always scared the heck out of me when I was a kid because all of the adults were out of control (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Matilda, James and the Giant Peach, The Witches, etc). I hated the first Willie Wonka movie, I thought it was scary! People have made fun of me for my Willie Wonka phobia.

But I might enjoy this new one though because... well... you know... Johnny Depp's in it.

hey Billy when is the next Cf item gonna be available?

Posted by: Jake at June 27, 2005 08:50 PM

Great your folks can come to visit Billy. We had a blast being tour guide when mine were here - it's so easy in LA.
The Magic Castle was the highlight for my dad. He still talks about how Irma (the piano) started playing Waltzing Matilda when we walked in...."& we hadn't even said anything" LOL!
ROFL>Song 3 just came on "Don't go to Crenshaw Boule....I love LA..."

Hey Jezzi -sorry to hear there's probs with your background check...Curse that Dave Navarro!!! PMSL!!!

Speaking of Dave, is Rokbar Thurs nite VIP only or is there room for the unwashed masses as well?

Posted by: laurie tuttle at June 28, 2005 12:58 AM

aahhh, Jezzi, I happen to have certified backround paperwork right here with me...let me know if you need to borrow them ;) ;)

Cori...that's the most insane thing I've ever heard!! hahaha That's what I thought when I first read your post, because I had NEVER even come close to thinking that!! But actually, being here in California, I spose it is a somewhat valid concern, so I re-grade you from psychotic to just a little paranoid =)

Hiya Billy! Great to see you back on here. I totally get the parents visiting thing, just had that myself. And my family is all over the place too, so time gets devoted to them when they visit (if they do!) Right now I'm eating 'tell 'em about the hunny mummy' Sugar Puffs. :D
Willy Wonka should be great with Johnny Depp. I only hope they leave out the Oompa Oompa thing. I know ppl seem to like that but it drives me scatty. (bad trip?)
I just watched a Jack The Ripper film, I think it was called, "From Hell" with him in as the detective. He played a Londoner quite convincingly. I'm still reeling from that film. Keep having flashbacks. Why do I do that to myself..watch scary films?!

good morning sunshines ;)

Glad to see you back billy. having family visit is great but by the time they leave I'm ready for it. LOL Don't get me wrong I love them dearly but I can only take so much of them at one time. :) Especially my brother. I'm the oldest and he's the youngest so I keep telling him it's my job to make sure his head doesn't get too big. He likes to think he's god's gift to women and I like to disillusion him. What are big sisters for. ;)

I'm doing a week from hell right now, covering for 2 vacation co-workers plus my own job which i have an impossible amount of work to finish by end of day thursday. Then I'm off for 2 glorious weeks. I'm not going anywhere, will finish unpacking and settling into the place and just generally be lazy.

Lisa, I loved the movie From Hell. I'm a horror fanatic, books, movies. Can't get enough of them.

Anyways, I best get some work done. Everyone have a nice day!

*hugs*
