SATURDAY FASHION

Pointing
Star Wars, baby. Its all about the Sith. Went to see the final movie in the double trilogy (dont know what you call a collection of six things!!) yesterday, and it does not disappoint. All the questions are answered, all your senses are assaulted with THX sound and digital picture - the battle scenes are fantastic, and apart from a Darth Vader that sounds like he's from the Bronx, the performances are great. Dont wanna give anything away, but if you are into the whole Star Wars thing, get off yer ass and go see it today! All I wanna do now is get the DVD so that I can watch all six episodes in order, in one day. Boy, my wife is going to love me!!!

Saturday, and I feel rested and ready to go. Which is just as well, as I have the Camp Freddy radio show to do tonight, and immediately afterwards, I am off to walk in a fashion show. I know that regular readers of this blog will remember that I walked in a fashion show last year and vowed never to do it again!! Well, I just plain forgot about that experience and agreed to do it again. So on my own head, be it. The line is by tattoo guru, Ed Hardy, and the stuff is pretty amazing. Embroidered baseball caps with cool tattoo designs on them, tee shirts, jeans etc. I know the guys doing the show and they asked me if I would walk, so I said yes. Its in Hollywood tonight, so if you are around, and sniff it out, come and say hi.

Not sure who is doing the radio show with me tonight, as I havent spoken to Dave recently (he has been so busy) but I am sure that one of the guys will be joining me. I am excited by the playlist I have put together - including something special that was sent to me by the clever people collaberating over at 6767.com on the loop experiment. Tune in tonight to hear what I am talking about.

So the Camp Freddy show was great fun. Brandon Boyd (the nicest guy in the world, by the way) just killed Whole Lotta Love and Suffragette City. He has an amazing voice, and it was an absolute pleasure to share a stage with him. Scott Weiland also joined us (having flown all the way across the country on his only day off from the Velvet Revolver tour) and did a fantastic version of Cheap Trick's Surrender and the Sex Pistol's Bodies. Massive respect has to go out to Matt Sorum, who also flew in from tour to be with us. He had no sleep, got onstage, played a full set with us, and then got back on a plane to do another VR show the next night!! What a Pro, ladies and gentlemen!! We all missed Dave (who was unable to join us due to scheduling conflicts) but we had all the other Panic Channel guys with us. Perkins did some double drums with Sorum on the Tone Loc song, Wild Thing and some other tunes. And Steve Issacs got up and did She Sells Sanctuary and, as usual, absolutely nailed it. A jolly good time was had by all!!

Matt S - The people in the group photo are, from L to R, Brandon Boyd, Brent Bolthouse (our manager) my wife Jen, yours truly, Scott Weiland, his wife, Mary, and Steve Jones.

Zanabee - ahh, c'est la Bon France!! Have a great time, and remember you have to try the snails. They are, indeed, delicious. And the Star Wars thing I did was just a small segment in an hour long program. Very possible that I was on while you were making that pot of tea!!

I am so glad that so many of you enjoyed the Getty Museum report. It really is a beautiful place, and if I inspired anyone to go and visit, then my job is done. And I also have to thank everyone who commented on my singing!! I have never thought of myself as a singer, but who knows.....
Oh, and while I remeber, I did do a few small video clips from the CF show - backstage stuff, though .... not the actual gig. I will send them to Karen today - but I am also going to attempt to upload one on this blog. If it doesnt work, then you'll just get a pic.

OK - so there's my Saturday morning ramble. Nice to feel awake again. I am off to the rehearsal for the fashion show this morning - gotta get coffee first. So I am outta here. Take it easy, have a great weekend and see you soon.

Peace

Billy

hi billy, i'm with jay, the movies worked great, loved seeing them. Love the pic today, nice closeup, has got me thinking already what am I going to do with it.

Sorry been silent peeps, I'm in the middle of chaos for the next few weeks. (1) I move in 2 weeks and haven't even started packing yet, plus lots of stuff you need to get done when one moves. I am almost totally insane now, but I'll be so happy when it's done. (2) My 2 co-workers are on vacation this week and I get to take on all their customers as well as my own (oh yippee) ;b PLUS I was informed next saturday I need to come in at 4 am to do a cut at the hospitals because their person who takes care of them is on vacation and everyone else said no they won't do it. It sucks I was out working on a special project this past week because I didn't have a chance to say no.

Anyway, if you don't hear from me much in the next few weeks, don't worry. I'll be back. If I'm not back in a few weeks, send out a search party, lead by Duffy. ;) LOL

hugs,
tina

Hiya!
Tina~Good luck with the move and your new home!
xxxx
We're a bit out of sorts here, Dave starts a new job Monday! Seems like lots of things all happen at once right Tina!?!! My Mum's just been here, and now my Dad phoned today saying he's coming over from the States for a London visit very soon. Looks like I'll be doing some traveling myself then. We "watched" the end of the cup final on the phone. I had to tell him what was happening.
Arsenal fans! YEAH!!! WE WON!

Billy, I LOVE the clips! More more!!!! Bravo!
Bravissimo!
Are we going to have the pleasure of pics, or a clip from the fashion show?
Also, I think the Star Wars show you were in is on here tomorrow on the Discovery Channel at 10pm. I'm going to tape it. Okay, well try to, I don't seem to be able to get it right since I've had satellite.

Catch you on CFR later!
Hugs
Lisa

Oh yeah! In the weird department. I just found out from my Dad that my younger brother (he's 15) is living with his mum in LA now. He's going to school in North Hollywood my Dad said. I don't know much about the schools there. Anyway, he was just at school in the UK, so I'm a little concerned for him with the big difference. Yes, I'm 38, and he's 15!!! :D
Love Lisa xxxx

Is a 'double trilogy' a hexology? Oo

Posted by: ylais at May 21, 2005 04:04 PM

I'll have to agree with flamingheart....that "free beef" thing was hilarious. Who was that in the background that kinda sounded like they were gagging while watching you do that bit? Looking forward to CFR tonite. I need the R & R after a rougher-than-usual week.

I hope this year's fashion show turned out better than last years. Sounds like a good time (again, cursing myself for living on the wrong coast...). Also, Zannebee please PLEASE don't eat the snails. Or the frog's legs. But please eat lots of French delicious ice cream...that was one of the few things I didn't eat last time I was there. Where in France are you going? Oh yeah, and please don't eat the snails...

Posted by: Julia at May 22, 2005 06:55 AM

I love the snails! I went to Paris, and I had them everyday.

Posted by: ylais at May 22, 2005 08:29 AM

Merci Billy, Julia et Ylais!

I wasn't planning on having the snails. I tried snails once because my mom made me and I didn't like them. But maybe if my sister has some, I will try a bite (I am going with my sister and my two kids). I'm kinda askeered to eat snails. But you only live once, so I might try a bite. Heck, who knows, maybe I'll like them.

I saw Star Wars on Saturday. It was worth seeing. I did have a few issues with it, but all in all, it was great to see the end of the story!! Afterwards, we went home and watched the original movie Star Wars IV. It was fun watching it after seeing Star Wars III.

I'm with you Billy, when it comes out on DVD, I'm going to watch them all back to back. I already have the other five.

Yes, I'm a dork.
