DESERT SKIES

Morrisonheadshot_3So I am off to Palm Springs for a couple of days after the radio show. Wanna get out and see those amazing Desert night time skies - just sit late at night and stare at the fantastic black sky with millions of stars flashing - so inspirational. I love it out there. And of course, a massage and facial at the spa isnt bad either!!! I'll meet up with Dave as always for the show and then get the hell outta Dodge for a few. Good luck to anyone trying to win the Epiphone Les Paul - the last question will be tonight, so get your speed dial ready!!

I had to post the headshot I did with Michael Muller last week. I really love it - he takes amazing pics, and I needed to have an official headshot (no, I am NOT trying to be the new De Niro!! Just got asked a couple of times if I had any decent shots, so I figured I would get one done). Michael is a genius with cameras - check his site out. I linked it on the links section further down this page.

So Doheny have been asked to play at The Henry Fonda Theater in LA for a charity show on May 13th. We are just tying up some loose ends and then we can put all the details of the show and the charity up on the sites. Nice to be asked - and nice to play the Henry Fonda. Its a great venue to play. Oh, and while I remember, Six7Six7 - Very perceptive.....but wrong! I did the Napster thing cos they paid me!! And I think that they are trying to embrace the digital age, and not fight against it like most of the business. But no, there is no Doheny on Napster.

Thats all I got for ya! Its a nice sunny Saturday here in LA, so I'm gonna take the wife out for a morning Starbucks, check out the new Splinter Cell PS2 game, and generally enjoy life. Have a wonderful weekend and I will probably do the 'mini update from the cellphone' thing from Palm Springs.

Peace

Billy

Billy!!! Impatient girl that I am...details, my man, details!! Is that the same charity event being alluded to on Jerry Cantrell's website, are we going to be able to see Doheny, and Jerry, and Dave?
ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh....be still my heart!!

Your littlest rogues are going to Palm Springs with me in June to see The Living Desert, if you ever get a chance in between spas and stargazing, give it a peep, I believe there's a wild animal park, and you know, nature and stuff...

That picture of you is quite compelling!!
Well, off I go to practice my speed dial technique, I am thinking of buzzing in early, a la Ken Jennings on Jeopardy, and hoping the third question is something within my level of expertise...tell me...will it be about hair products?

love!! to you and all Dohenyites!!

lol Jezzi you're great!
Wish I could have made it to the Napster deal Wednesday but I had forgotten about a previous engagement I had that night.

Have a blast in Palm Springs Billy!

Billy~Have a great mini-holiday!

My friend from high school has a house in Palm Springs, and goes there weekends. I'm wondering if you know him and his wife, and new kid. They had a child about 2 years ago.
I think they live in Santa Barbara in the week.
I mentioned that way back. If you look on the golf course you may see him. Ha ha!

(Thinking I better not put his name here without permission.)

Damn, we put the clocks forward here last weekend; and there I was wondering what happened to CFR. But it isn't on yet. Damn again, and again.

Love
Lisa

You know I really think there's something in that Mercury Retrograde thing.

I have to say, that pic is amazing. Very good photo. And damn, I could have perfected getting myself folded into a ball in order to fit inside Billy's trunk to go to the spa (just give me a spare tire to suck on for air). I neeeed a vacation. And maybe a facial too...Hope you're having a great time..breathe in some of that fresh desert air...

Hey Billy

Thanks so much for giving me the T-shirt even though I didn't know what a fortnight was, I had heard of it before but I didn't know what it meant. Thanks.

Hey Billy,
Nice to meet you and Jennifer on Saturday night. Big huge thanks for the Guitar and letting Kevin and I come and hang at the station for a bit with you guys.
We both had a good time. It was great to see what you guys do behind the scenes. Like I told Dave earlier it reminded me of when I did the college radio thing with a community station. It was good times.
I have a question though that you kind of touched on during the time I was on the air with ya. How many Les Pauls do you have, and what are some of your other guitars you own.
You guys do a great radio show and a Awesome live show. So make sure you guys do another show soon, maybe even an OC show(Galaxy or the Grove or a small club works). I bought 15 tickets to the Tsunami benefit show(Key Club) and got 13 (1 was already hooked from a previous show) other people hooked and looking forward to your next show.
Thanks again for the Great Time. And hope to talk to you soon

We, as your fashion consultant team, have decided that although you are already high up on the scale, the rock star "hot" meter raises considerably with the application of eyeliner...so bring on the black baby!

(If you need examples of this phenomenon, we are happy to provide...please call our offices between midnight and 4am any day of the week)

Hi Billy! Have a great day!

yo Billy,
hope your visit to the desert skies rocked!.
whenre I live, on clear nights, I have watched the International Space Station 'fly over' a bunch of times. Not that the stars aren't beautiful enough ...but it's definitely a trip watching that thing!
hope all is well y'all
:)

Yo Skotland! I've been watching the stars in the sky. Haven't seen any Space Stations though. If I did, I'd start worrying about my mind, or vision. Or that I've been taking Star Trek too seriously...

Billy, where are you? Still on holiday?

I did catch CFR after all. Stayed up for it.

Hugs
Lisa
