THE BAG AND THE CAT THAT WAS LET OUT

Billyjonjonesy3Yeah - We are doing the big Tsunami Benefit at The Arrowhead Pond in Anaheim on Feb 18th....and Ozzy is gonna sing with us!! Unbelievable!! Until I heard it announced on KROQ today, I didnt believe it. So it seems we have 12 days to put together a fantastic Camp Freddy line up for the event. It makes my heart warm that we are able to contribute so much to the Music For Relief fund. I honestly feel that we can make a difference with this, and thanks to Linkin Park's move to create that fund, the music business has been able to join together and help. I am honored to be a part of the evening, and Camp Freddy will, as usual, pull out all the stops to make it a special night.

I am typing this from the studio where we are recording the Camp Freddy album, and another killer guitar player is coming in about 15 minutes to put a solo down and to sing on a track. Keeping it secret right now, as we don't want to blow the surprises before the album is done. Suffice to say that the whole record is sounding amazing, and the guests are making it SO special. All very exciting stuff.

The new Doheny track, Part Of The Machine, is sounding so good - played it to the management last week, and we are all agreed that it is one of the top three Doheny tunes so far. Its great to be surrounding myself with so much creativity and musical output right now. I am feeling a lot of gratitude and humility these days - just to be able to play a guitar every day makes me a lucky guy. You guys actually being interested in what I do just puts the ball outta the park!! Thank you.

I should get going here - just wanted to log on and express my excitement and gratitude. Looking forward to a good day in the studio - I'll be back in the morning. Check out the fantastic pic of myself, Jon and a certain Mr Steve Jones, doing the Sex Pistols classic, Pretty Vacant, at the recent Freddy show at The Key Club. Have a great day everyone.

Peace

Billy

Wow...sounds like the CF album is coming together nicely...not to mention the Doheny tracks. Good work :) I regret to say I will be missing the info here and on CFR for the next few weeks as I will be in France. Taking a break to see the family there and eat lots of good food. I'm leaving on Thursday and come back the 24th at night. So..don't have TOO much fun without me. I'll spread the gospel of Doheny and CF abroad...

I have to say Billy "right back at ya". I've come from the Pitchshifter camp so its been a huge pleasure to read all your posts and activities over the past few months. Its great to hear about all you get up to, and it's great to live vicariously through your star-studded hectic schedule. And with so many fingers in so many pies it's like four blogs in one!

Keep it tight. I can't wait for both Camp Freddy and Doheny, oh and glad to see that pic got an airing. 'Pretty Vacant' had already had its 'pop-up' done on the PSi news-page...

It's always good to take a moment out every day and remember all that you are grateful for.
I hope I didn't scare you with my last question Billy..haha! I'm surprised you don't wonder "who are these people and why don't they leave me alone??" hehe
I swear though, we DO have lives of our own!

You guys are totally going to kill it at the Benefit! Ozzy is the man!
Glad to hear things are coming along well for everyone. Looking forward to that CF album.
Have a good one loves.
C ya around

Billy, it was great talking to you on the radio Sat. I love your voice!

I hope everyone has fun at the show! Wish I could make it but I just found out I no longer have a job. So until I get one my show funds have been cut and $40 is a bit steep.
