THE WEEKEND COMETH.

DavebillycloseSaturday morning. The sun is shining, the nicotine is flowing, and the new slimline PS2 is humming ......(well actually its not humming as its so quiet, but you catch my drift!). I started playing the new Getaway game, Black Monday, and its a good one. Its gonna grab me and pull me under for a week or so until I've finished it, I can tell. I'm fighting it, for sure - three songs in the studio need bridges and end choruses, vocals from Jon to be recorded......if I can just find the crack dealer hiding in the abandoned factory and arrest him, I'll put the controller down and work on some music!!

First of all, answers to your posts.
Eric - Juliette had to cancel at the last minute (not her fault, something came up) so she was unable to do the Key Club with us. And yes, I will be at Robert Knights exhibition tonight. 319 Gallery, Santa Monica Blvd.
Bobbi-O - The problem with releasing anything from a CF show is the sync rights and clearances involved with all the labels and managers of the different guests. One day, we will get a team of lawyers on it and put out the mother of all live DVD's.
Kim - A collect call??? Thats hilarious!! I wish we could accept the charges mate!
Matt - I dont think Freddy will be doing another show for a couple of months. Seems The Panic Channel, Velvet Revolver and Doheny will all be busy in the near future. Having said that, I heard rumors of another bigger Tsunami Benefit in Anaheim on Feb 17th. More details as I get them. And Limewire?...Dont know what you mean.....!!!
Jay - Yeah, Sanctuary was definately your addition to the CF set, mate. And Issacs KILLED it!!!
Jezebel and Tina - There are Tee Shirts and Posters left. But I have to figure out a way to sell them. The store on the CF site had to close, and we need to reopen it and have someone deal with the mailouts, paypal payments etc. Let me look into it.
Willow - I remember you!! Glad you had fun - see you at the next show.

Camp Freddy Radio is on tonight and Annabella Lwin and Terri Nunn will be joining us to talk about the show last week, and to pimp the upcoming Berlin/Bow Wow Wow show in Long Beach. They are bringing Lee Gorman with them as well. Lee plays bass in Bow Wow Wow and was the original bass player in Adam And The Ants......so I will be pumping him for info on how to get Adam over the water and into a Camp Freddy show.

Time for another coffee I think. Not a lot else to report. How about you lot thinking up some questions for me and the rest of Doheny. I'll print them out and get the rest of the band to answer them. No reason that we cant get them involved in our question and answer sessions. Have a great weekend everyone. Listen in to the show tonight if you can, and if you are in LA with nothing to do, come to the photography exhibition tonight. There will be some amazing Rock History photographs on display. The pic I used today shows just how cute and cuddly Dave and I can get!!
Time to see if I can find that crack dealer!!!

Peace

Billy

Billy,

CFR sounds like it could be interesting tonight. Do you think we could get Lee talking about the old days of the Bromley
Contingent and the old punk days? I really dig those stories..

Thanks for the recognition on the "Sanctuary" CF setlist addition, very cool.

A great Saturday to all.

Jay

Ummm...yeah... (fans herself) cute and cuddly aren't the words I would use personally... :P

Feb 17th?? Oh, how you love to torture us...you gotta let that one "slip out" tonight on CFR...please??? LOL

;-)

Anaheim would be great.I'm from O.C. Will it be at the Grove?

Limewire is a p2p music sharing program like kazaa. Are you as a musician against that kind of stuff? There is CF stuff on it.

Thanks,
Matt - big Angels fan

I don't think I'll be able to make CFR so I'll type this about the benefit show here!

It was really really excellent. EVERYONE totally owned! When I look back on the night 2 performances stand out for me. One is Courtney Love - looking beautiful as ever - doing Mountain Song probably because
1. I've always been big on Jane's and love that song. I believe she and Dave made a vow to do it together one day.
2. I have never seen her live before and am totally impressed by how she worked the song and stage.
3. She has this sweetness and innocence to her that is really endearing. I found myself strangely attracted to her!

The other one that stood out was YOU, Billy! Good lord, man! Not only did you kill it on the guitar but you were an incredible front man for I Wanna Be Your Dog. It was my 2nd time seeing you in action and I was SO impressed. You have totally won me over as a fan. And I mean this seriously, don't want to seem like I'm kissing ass for the hell of it.

And i'm with jez on selling the T-shirts and posters. Hope you can find a way!

have a good time on CFR and at the exhibition tonight!

I will leave you with a question for all the Doheny boys...

What was the 1st concert you ever attended?

Thanks for the answer Billy, Impatient girl that I am, I had already emailed Indie, and it seemed they were all too happy to leave it up to Camp Freddy Radio to answer....

Yay!! Cause I liked the tshirts, wanted to buy more...and didn't have money left over for poster....but, it is suitable for signing and framing. how about a Camp Freddy radio auction one night to get a poster or shirt signed by you or you and Dave, or you and Dave and Dono...or you and....well, you get the idea....

love to you and yours
hear you tonight

Oh Billy, you have mine heart. Thank you for that amazing serenade on CFR tonight.

I'm still fanning myself.

Well, I did try phoning into Camp Freddy Radio (why isn't the number on Indie 103 website!? Couldn't see it anywhere).

But I got through to 'a' radio station, just not Indie 103. I think they were confused as I was.

Me: Hello, is this Indie 103?
Lady: ... excuse me?
Me: I'm trying to get through to Camp Freddy.
Lady: This is a radio station
Me: Indie 103?
Lady ... no

I could have swore Dave Navarro said 323 900 6000 1. Maybe I'm going deaf! I'll be sure to try again next week.

Hiya Everyone~
Questions! Think up some questions for Billy and the guys..man this is a great opportunity,
and now I have it I'm sitting what the heck should I ask? Oo (Without asking some lame stuff like what's your favourite colour?)

here's one for everyone:
"What's it like working, playing, being with Billy in a band?"

Billy, you can answer that too! :D

Love to all, to my fellow monkeys in Doheny chat, group hug man group hug!!! All dance around hugging..wahey.. (I love this song!!!!)

Okay Doheny! You've got to prepare for when you are in Kerrang! So here's the ubiquitous K! questions for each of you. (and I want to know these too)
1. Hey, How's things?
2. Where are you now and what can you see out the window?
3. What was the last thing you put in your mouth?
4. What rumour would you like to start about yourself?
5. What would you do if you were a girl for the day?
6. What one thing would you like to change about yourself?
7. What's yout sexual fantasy?
8. What do you look for in a boy/girlfriend?
9. What are you obsessed with?
10. What would surprise people about you?
11. Who would you most like to have a drink with?
12. What was the last lie you told?
13. What's your favourite swear word?
14. What song do you want played at your funeral? (morbid motherf*ckers ain't they?)
15. Finish this sentence "Happines is..."

How big is your package? :P I had to.

CFR was excellent despite the reformatting. I highly enjoyed the live performances. I hope you get back the 800 number!!! I shouldn't be deprived the chance to get serenaded on air!!! Must get myself out to LA one of these days for a CF show, don't know how much longer I can hold out!

Lisa demanded that I get on here and ask a question.
Who was the first famous person you met, and how did you feel about it?.
By famous, I mean who you thought was famous at the time, It doesnt have to be a superstar, maybe a newsreader or a Blue Peter presenter.

Question~

What would you ask Jimmy Saville to Fix for you?
