HAPPY 2005 EVERYONE

Green_wall_logoSo here we all are - the start of another year. I hope everyone had a great New Years Eve. What did you all do? Any funny stories? How many of you are nursing huge hangovers this morning??!! I truly hope that 2005 brings us all health, happiness and good vibes. Its going to be a good year folks.

So, thanks to Tina, I have created another section to the Blog. Web Banners. I want to start pushing the Blog and the main site more - lets get the word out and start linking folks. Anyone who feels like creating a web banner can send it in and we will have a section that people can download from and use to link to their sites. Tina has started the ball rolling with some nice and simple designs, including some animated gifs. So get your Picasso heads on, and lets see some more. And if you have any sites that you think might want to link up to Doheny, let me know....or just go ahead and link us up.

Resting up out here has been nice and all, but I am itching to get back to work now. I have ideas for songs, my fingers are bored and need to play guitar, and I wanna get back on a stage!! I've got a day of treatments at the Spa booked for today, and I know that'll be nice. And I think a couple of friends are driving down today to spend a couple of nights with us here, and then Monday, it'll be business as usual. I want to start working on a full Doheny Video to Drive Me. The one thats up here is just a 'home movie' version. I think I'd like to have a go at a full quality, hi-def version so I'm going to start that when I get back to LA. And I want to get some shows booked for us as well.

Not a lot to report - I'd love to hear what you all got up to last night. I'm out of here. Have fun this weekend ( the taped New Years Day CFR is airing tonight - hope it sounds funny. I know we didnt play much music - Dave and I were too busy on the phones!! We'll get back to playing music next week, I promise!!). See you on Monday people.

Peace

Billy

Happy New Year!!

I haven't drank in about three years, so I don't have a hangover this morning. I ate some snacks, and watched a couple of movies last night. I was in bed by 12:30, just long enough for it to be the new year.

The web banner idea is great! I'm sure I'll be coming up with some ideas for banners. ;-)

Well, I didn't do that much either. I didn't drink...I allowed myself to get drunk once this year (at the work x-mas party...) so I used up my drinking allotment. Just hung out with my bro, ate ice cream, and of course, stayed up late enough to watch Mr. Bill Idol. He was very good. His new song sounds great. Then I watched some movies and went to bed. Gearing up to go to Florida for five days, I cannot wait...Happy New Year everyone!

LMAO! And here I thought yesterday afternoon that I was the only one who was staying home at New Year's. The more peeps I talked to, the more I found out had the same plans.

We blew the budget with our staff Christmas party at the beginning of Dec staying in a fancy hotel and all, so the hubby and I just rented a couple of movies. We watched The Manchurian Candidate and Wicker Park. Meh. They were both OK, but Wicker Park was not what I thought it was going to be.
Some people phoned my house at midnight to wish us a Happy New Year, and we hadn't even noticed it was midnight! LOL

I'm off to play frisbee golf at a friend's house in the snow today...yes, I finally got snow! Wheeee!

Man we are an exciting bunch aren't we?..I got home from work at 7:30 and proceeded immediately to bed ..and promptly fell into a well deserved coma. I haven't slept more than 4 hours a night since September..It was awesome.

Wow, I really do feel like we have so much in common here!!

I went to dinner early with my 'someone', came home and watched a couple movies, along with the Twilight Zone marathon, and was in bed by 1:00. I guess I am not one to party when everyone else is!!

I celebrated 13 years away from the Devil's candy (speed) last night, so I usually feel a bit melancholy on that evening, thinking about what might have been.

Billy!!! We love you!! I am so looking forward to finally seeing you live this month! Can't wait, I will be the girl yelling "You're so DREAMY!!!"

man, you people are wild. i went to a friend's place to watch the ball drop. then went out to a lounge a few hours later, which was quite interesting. my friends and i walk into this place and the owner comes racing up to us and explains that a private party just ended and that we probably would not enjoy ourselves. the guy is talking so goddamn fast and is so jittery and nervous that i'm sure he just did 5 huge lines in the bathroom or something. i'm confused as hell as to why the owner of a lounge is telling me this - i mean the place is not packed at all and why would he not want the business, right? i said it's OK and that we just want to have a drink and we will be on our way. he looks around at the other patrons in the lounge, like he was looking for approval and then says "ok. but don't make to much noise or anything like that". i sit at the bar, order a round and am trying to make sense of our little bizzare encounter. I look around the place, and everyone is still staring at us and then it dawns on me...this place is a goddamn mob joint, straight out of the sopranos, no joke. ever see those movies where a guy walks into a wrong place and then you hear a needle skip off of a record then everyone in the place stops talking and stares? it was exactly like that. instead of taking the hint and quietly leaving we actually stayed for a while, had a really nice time and was able to leave in one piece!

Spent the evening with my chick and a few selected friends, home by 1am and a productive New Years Day today.

Happy '05 to all.

Camp Freddy radio was great! It was good talking to you and Dave (I was the one that said "hi Billy" to you)! Maybe we could do it again sometime and I can call in with a good joke for you boys :)

I thought there was going to be a masturbating stripper on there, that was edited out? Or maybe I missed it since I tuned in a bit late, about 20 minutes in.

Hey Billy & Friends,

My New Years was quite unproductive.

I just did my usual; sat infront of the monitor, updated http://www.serpentia.org and posted on some message boards, chatted on MSN until around 7:30AM, then went to bed.

As per usual. I have a vodka mudshake, which was overall the highlight of my evening, other than the CFR show which was great.

Happy '05 everyone!

I watched Jools Holland. Had a pretty good time doing that. Fireworks outside from the neighbours. Dancing around and singing old lang syne with my dog..and the ppl on tv..david was just sitting laughing at me..then he sanded the face off my spiderman toy...don't even ask...

Good morning Billy!!
Good morning Doheny family!!

I'd like to ask a favor of those of you with spare change lying around...take it to your local supermarket, you know, they have those green Coinstar machines EVERYWHERE..

..Follow the directions, then enter 5556, and the change will be donated directly to the Tsunami Emergency.

You won't pay a fee, and you will get a tax-deductible receipt

I am starting a coin drive today at my school, go to www.unicef.org for more info...including facts on exactly where your money goes...five bucks buys an emergency medical kit for 3 months, 87 dollars buys a safe water kit for a family of ten, and 188 makes sure 80 children have new school supplies

http://www.unicefusa.org/site/pp.asp?c=duLRI8O0H&b=279541

Billy, what do you think, can you put a coin jar at the Camp Freddy concert on January 27th?

jezebel(empty those penny jars!!)

Hi everyone! Sorry I've been out of touch for so long, work has been crazy, traveling back and forth to New York and such....For all who have sent emails and left comments on myspace, etc. I'll be back in touch soon!

I spent New Years in Las Vegas at the Velvet Revolver show which was, of course, amazing. Met a few really great people, and its always interesting how many people from LA you run into there. I would have loved just a couple more days to recover, but I'm going to have to settle for an evening at Burke Williams instead. Not that that's anything to complain about....

Talk to you all soon!

This comment is probably going to seem a bit selfish, but I want to share it. As some people on the Doheny messageboards know I suffer from clinical depression, and the other night I was a hairs breadth away from going through with an overdose on about a month's supply of the medication I'm on.

I'm so fortunate because one of my greatest friends, Arch, was able to snap me out of my state simply by being there. When I finally realised I was causing her pain and she was in tears, I broke down in tears over her and promised not to go through with it.

So I want to say how thankful I am how true love in a close friendship can break down barriers and preserve life when it seems at it's bleakest. Arch, I love you more then anyone in the world. Thank you so much for loving me.
