GROUNDHOG DAY
Do you ever feel like its Groundhog Day? You know, that feeling of waking up and doing exactly the same as you did yesterday.....and the day before.....and the day before.......Thats what playing a cool video game makes me feel!! I woke up yesterday morning and started playing this new game, The Getaway, Black Monday.......and got stuck on a particular level. I kept trying and trying and just kept getting killed. And I have woken up this morning at the exact same place in the game!! Aaagghh - Have to make some progress - need to get past this level. Obsessed? Me?.......hmmm....maybe!! But just look at todays pic - this game is awesome.
Saturdays radio show was a lot of fun - had Terri Nunn, Annabella Lwin and Leigh Gorman in the studio as guests and we did a couple of acoustic tracks live - sounded pretty good. Dave and I had a great laugh as usual. And afterwards I drove down to the Robert Knight exhibition in Santa Monica and signed a couple of prints of this fantastic picture that Robert took of me. I think they will go to Make A Wish. It was a cool gallery - ran into Willow (nice to see you - glad you got in!) and said hi to a bunch of people.
Yesterday, as I said, was a Playstation day, and I have to stop myself from making today the same thing. You have work to do, Mr Morrison!!
Its rehearsals today, and I need to get my shit together and burn some rough mixes of the three new songs that Jon and I have been working on, so that the other guys can listen to what we've been doing. I know that there are a couple of interesting business meetings this week as well, but we are going to stay out of all that, and just keep rehearsing and making sure we have the best live set we can. Talking of which, its about time that we did a show - I am going to talk to the band and our manager today and see if we can get a couple booked for February and March. I miss Doheny playing and its time to get back out there.
Questions - (wow Lisa - you went for it!!)
FlamingHeart - Feb 17th is a possible Tsunami Benefit at the Anaheim Pond. We dont have details yet, but I believe that Linkin Park, No Doubt and Blink 182 are doing a Benefit Show, and maybe Camp Freddy will be doing a few songs at the show. I will let you know when its confirmed.
Matt - I know what Limewire is, and I am just choosing not to comment on it. All I will say is that when a band release an album, they need people to actually pay for it, in order to get a chance to make a second album.
Mortisha8 - My first live concert was Gary Glitter at The Lyceum Ballroom in London when I was 8 years old!!
DaveC - Hmmm - I think the first celebrity I met would have been Dave Prowse (Darth Vader and the Green Cross Code Man!!) - I studied Martial Arts when I was younger, and he presented me with a Bronze Medal in Judo when I was a kid.
Ylais - Im gonna do your big list of questions as a band thing. I'll take them into Rehearsals and post everyones answers tomorrow. But I will tell you that I was on Jim'll Fix It, talking to Kevin Keegan (the Liverpool and England football player - famous for his perm!!) when I was young. These days, I'd ask Jim to fix it for me to scuba dive with Great White Sharks.
Enough from me - I'm gonna make those CD's for the band and take the list of questions in with me as well. I'll be back tomorrow and I wanna wish everyone reading this a great day. Thanks for being here - it means a lot to me and to Doheny. I'll see ya.......
Peace
Billy

Every day feels like groundhog day to me. I just wish I wasn't getting older as it was happening!

Oh god! I cannot believe you were on Jim'll Fix It! That just floated into my head that question, and you were on it. (oooo~I'm so mystical Oo And that episode with Kevin Keegan sounds very familiar...
Billy~you sound like you were a very accomplished child. Medals from The Green Cross Code Man for Judo, on Jim'll Fix It..what else I wonder?
Gary Glitter at 8 years old. Brilliant. I would have loved to see him back then. I had to wait until I was 19 to see him at (insert the name of the club in London owned by Steve Strange) Name alludes me right now.
Need my cup of tea. Just woke up from a nap.
I can't wait to see what the Doheny boys have to say! Thanks.
Love
Lisa

Hey Billy,
I saw you at the Robert Knight exhibition, but it was so crowded and you seemed pretty busy, so I didn't get to say hello. There were so many incredible photos! I wish that I had lots of money to buy some. Maybe one day.
Take care,
Eric

that is so cool I love parents that take their kids to shows. My first concert was when I was 19!
I know what you mean about video games.. i am so bad with that! Forget the laundry, dishes, dinner, bills... I have another level to beat!
I hope your wife is feeling better! I remember you mentioning her being sick on CFR.

Ahh... it's so good to be back on the computer. My monitor went out last week Thursday. I think I went through withdrawals not being able to be on the computer. ;-)

Billy, Thank you for give your time to do this for your fans. Is there a person that you wish had a blog that you could talk to?
And as for the play station. You are lucky to be able to play all day. Between my son wanting to play and my girlfriend trying to keep us away from them. I get about an hour in a weekend.
Thanks again,
Matt

Billy & Co. - do you recall the first time you were turned on? & by what?

Billy -- meeting you at the exhibit was the highlight of my weekend, thanks for saying hi :) The photo of you was clearly a standout -- (obviously the gallery knew it as well since they put it in the window!) Blue lighting definitely works for you --- I noticed that when Doheny played the Key Club. (Was that where the picture was taken? I forgot to read the caption.) Other notable photos: a b&w of BB King and a really intriguing one of Dave.

This is my first post here. I have checked out 6767- that's how I found out about CFR. I just want to say how much I have enjoyed CFR. You were playing things I have previously not heard. I found a friend and borrowed The Undertones, X-Ray Specs, X, and my favorite the Only Ones! I need to find killing joke. Thanks for turning me on to good stuff and putting good music on the radio.
I am planning a trip to LA (from Asheville, NC) and would like to coordinate the trip with a Camp Freddy show-A small venue would be great. And Dave is correct, that accent can get you laid.
Any feedback about a possible show would be great.
And yes, I am hot!
Thanks,
s

Hi Bill, happy rehearsing,
Dave Prowse lives a few miles down the road from me!
Funny stuff about Jim'll fix it though...
Have a good day/night/whatever time you're reading this.
Oh, and if you had to choose one of the Bangles, which one would it be?
Wishes (of the best variety)
