COMPUTERS AND CARPET

Diglp1I'm back again! And since I got home from the holidays, its been pretty busy. I have a lot of work to do in the studio. Doheny have various songs in half finished form and Jon and I need to knuckle down and finish them. I have a couple of video projects that I would like to finish. And the new carpet is arriving any day!! That means that I need to dismantle the studio, have the place painted, get the carpet in, and put it all back together again!! So I am head in the screen, trying to do as much as I can before the disruption. The awkward thing is that this week gets disrupted even more tomorrow by the CF show in Vegas. Dont get me wrong, it'll be a great show, and its always a lot of fun. But I could just do with it being next week instead. Oh well - I'll deal with it!!

I'm looking forward to getting back into rehearsals with the band on Friday. And I took delivery of the digital Les Paul from Gibson, so I'll be trying that out in all kinds of situations to see what I think. Its a very 'pretty' blue color, with great brushed aluminium trim. And it comes with a weird box that enables you to........well, I'm not sure what it enables you to do yet!! But when I figure it out, I'm sure it will be fabulous!!

Jezzi - Congrats with the 13 years away from the speed. I can certainly relate to that kind of thing, and I know what it takes to sort out your life when its going down the pan. So well done girl!!

Bobbi-O - Your Mob party sounds crazy!! I have had a similar experience in New York in an Italien restaurant. I was fascinated for hours, listening to the conversation, and running scenes from The Godfather in my head. Probably why I now Tivo Growing Up Gotti!!!!

Mortisha - They did actually edit out the masterbating stripper from CFR New Years Day. They had to!! It was BEYOND the line by miles. But I can tell you that Dave and I had a great time talking to her!!

Kim - I have been there. I understand. And you have to fight it Bro. Your true friends will help you through (respect to Arch) and I for one am glad that you are still here and still an integral member of the Family. Stay with us mate.

OK peeps - Its time for me to turn on the G5 and get started on the days work. I am gonna try and finish this idea that Jon sketched out before the holidays. Great melody - fast guitar riff - I think its a good one. I'll be back tomorrow before we get on the plane to Vegas. Have a great day everyone and see ya soon.

Peace

Billy

Billy make sure you take some pictures of the new studio so we can see all the goodies you got floating around in there.

The new gibson looks a bit strange... i am not sure i like the knobs... I would have to replace them with some vintage looking knobs. But I am very anxious to see how it sounds.

Much love,
Pony

Billy, Wow, that guitar looks pretty wild in the sense of the whole split signal thing for the pickups. Reminds me of the Roland synth thing? Jazz players do that alot w/ the split signal......... So rock on that thing!!!! I bet that guitar is rad to hook up a computer up to and record with. Please give us an update on that thing pro's/cons if you can! BTW:Good luck with the carpet and painting deal. Be safe and be well!

yeah, that IS a really pretty blue! I really like Les Pauls, hope this one serves you well.

I could tell from Dave's frequent bathroom trips that you boys were enjoying yourselves on CFR! ;) I have to admit I'm glad in a way that it was edited out.

Jezzi- I'm so proud of you!!
Anthony Kiedis's sobriety date was Christmas eve, going on 5 years. Congrats to him as well!

Have a wonderful time in Vegas Billy! rock the heck out of that stage.

The thing that cracks me up about the Gotti show is when they put the captions on so you can understand what the hell they are saying. Neanderthals! God bless the USA. Only in this country can the family of a murdering thug get rewarded with their very own reality show. I'm trying to convince my mom and dad to go live a life of crime for the next 10 years, get the family name out there and get my own show. So far, mom's not into it. Gotta talk some sense into this woman.

More on that Gibson Digital Guitar - you can actually have each string record to a seperate hard drive. That's insane!!! Keep us posted as to how you like it - i would love to get my hands on one someday

I'm back, anyone miss me? ;)

That is one beautiful looking guitar billy, can't wait to hear all about what you can do with it. It's always exciting and fun to play with new toys.

My NY's resolution has already been broken. I resolved to be nicer to my friends, but they tell me I'm freaking them out... they said when I'm nice to them they think I'm up to something. Sheesh ;) I don't mind insulting them if that's what they want. hehehehe O:)

Everybody, I wish you all a happy year and *HUGS* to everybody.

Kim, I'm also very very happy you're still with us as well. I also know where you're coming from, and this time of year for me in particular is the worse. And thank goodness for truly good friends.

I have one of those like your Arch. Sometimes I've been asked why Patti and I are friends, we are totally opposite and have absolutely nothing in common. All I can say is I know without a doubt she is always there for me, no matter what happens. She's the only one I know I can depend on for anything. Nothing else matters in that kind of friendship.

So *hugs* to you to Kim. ;)

Okay I'll get back to work, stop threatening to tell my boss I'm goofing off. ;b
