BENEFIT SHOW UPDATE
I know myself so well, that I just KNOW I wont get around to posting tomorrow morning, and I really miss it when I dont check in here. So I figured I would pop a quick one up tonight instead. The show tomorrow at the Key Club is sold out - I believe they might let a few in on the night, but its beyond my control now - its gonna be a madhouse!! I'm really looking forward to the show - I hope any of you that get there have a great time. Come and say hi if you see me.
Today has really been a day of last minute phone calls and emails......do we want candles on the restaurant tables, have the posters been delivered...that kind of stuff. Its amazing how many emails I get if I just leave the house to go get a coffee for half an hour. But its all in a very good cause, and we are all looking forward to it.
Ylais - The digi Les Paul is a strange beast, but really fun to play with. More on that one at the modern guitars website. Regarding what Gibson to buy......you know me.....its ALL about the Les Paul. They do different models, and some are quite cheap. You might also consider an Epiphone Les Paul - made by Gibson, but the cheaper version. Not sure about the Nighthawk, though!!
Cowboy Rob!!! So cool that you posted! You gave me the shock of my life when you shouted out of that white van!! We dedicated a song to you on the show that night. I'll check out your band for sure.
OK - I have a question for you lot. I just finished watching Die Hard With A Vengence (good ol' Bruce saves the day yet again!!) and I wanna know what you guys think the best movie sequel is, and whats the worst. The Whole Ten Yards doesnt count as it was so shit, it doesnt deserve to be counted!!! So get your thinking caps on and vote for...Best Movie Sequel, and Worst Movie Sequel. Oh, and by the way - the pic I've posted has nothing to do with anything! Its a beautiful example of an ULTRA RARE Vivienne Westwood shirt from the Seditionaries period. I just watched a thing I did for Authentic TV in the UK and in part of the interview I talk about my Seditionaries collection. So I looked at a few pics and found this one. Very cool collectors piece.
I'm off - going to try and get some rest before tomorrow's crazy schedule. Have fun, play safe, and dont do anything I wouldnt do........
Peace
Billy

Highlander 2, The Quickening, gets my vote as worst sequal. I LOVE the Highlander series and movies. With the movies they should have stopped after the first one. Talk about fucking up a good thing...so sad...

Awwwe...so nice to think of lil ole' us ;) Bad Sequels??? Speed 2...I'm sure I think of a better one, just gotta think for a bit, but Speed 2 was pretty bad!

Billy~I spotted that Vivienne Westwood shirt right away. my eyes got all wide! Is this shirt in your possession? Amazing design. stands out a mile, and it's intensely beautiful at the same time. I love her!
(can i put "memories" again here...?!!)
What Authentic TV thing did you do? I'm terrible at keeping up with what's on the tv.
I've spent loads of my time catching up on old UK tv since I've been back (7 yrs??). Same as Tina said she watched.
I think I'll cut myself short there, you've got loads of stuff to do I'm sure preparing for the show. Have a good one!
Thank you so much for answering my questions. That does help! My son is saving up for a Les Paul Classic Sunburst. :D It gets scary when your son and yourself (me in this case)
have the same taste! Even in the bloody colour. But I'd rather he have the really good guitar, and I'll settle for an Epiphone for a while!
Loads of love and hugs,
to all

The best sequel.
Definately whatever was the one to Naked Gun 2 1/2, with Leslie Nielsen. Okay, I'm cheating, but it's the truth! I love that guy. I laugh as soon as I see his face.
Okay, Pink Panther, that sequel. Is my all time favourite.
Posted by: ylais at January 27, 2005 05:27 AM
Naked Gun 2 1/2 WAS the sequel. Oo
zipping my mouth now.
Posted by: ylais at January 27, 2005 05:29 AM
WORST sequel?
Gosh, there are way too many!
Matrix Revolutions gets worst movie sequel ending, plotline, and main character death scene from me.
Hmm, what else..
Mission Impossible 2, Jason X, and most of all: ANYTHING after Land Before Time II. Poor Little Foot got milked for all he was worth.
Honestly though, that is my favourite animated movie. I lovelovelove LOVE dinos, especially T-Rex.
I think the only movie that really did GREAT sequels are Jurassic Park and Star Wars.

breakin 2: electric boogaloo gets my vote for best AND worst sequel

Without a doubt the best sequel in the world is Godfather 2.
Don't try to argue... its not even worth it.
Worst... hmmm... I probally have to agree with Abby... speed 2 blew ass.
Well have a great day everyone. I hope things are well for you. I have my doheny T on today hoping it will bring a smile to my face.

Godfather III takes the cake for the worst. The first two were so legendary - the third was such shit.
As for the best...Godfather II is worthy as is The Return of the King. But i still have to go with The Empire Strikes Back as the champion of all sequels. Either that or New Wave Hookers 4. Tough call.

See i have to disagree. I love GF III. I love how the movie was done. And the death of micheal's daughter is a trajic but fitting ending.
killing him wouldn't hurt him, but killing family...
Thats my 2 cents

Good question. Best movie sequel I can think of is "Return to Oz". It stars a young Fairuza Balk. It's really an excellent movie with great special effects and maybe even a better story than the original Wizard of Oz..definitely a much darker film. As far as bad sequels are concerned, I haven't seen many movie sequels unless there is a chance it is at least as good as the first one. I can imagine the sequel to Dirty Dancing is probably awful..The second Bridget Jones movie was also lacking. Now, if they made a Showgirls 2 that would probably be the worst...although the first one is so damn funny...I hate to say I love that movie.

bah, yeah Speed 2 sucked.. the 2nd Scary Movie I thought did too...
but the Godfather sequals kick major booty.
Billy, I hope you have a wonderful show tonight! See ya there! :)

Well, the third graders agree that Shrek 2 was an excellent sequel to Shrek
as far as worst, I think Land Before Time should have stopped after seven

Billy,
Best is Godfather II, everything else pales in comparison.
Worst sequel for me has to be Godfather III. George fucking Hamilton?? Sophia fucking Coppola??? Thank God she quit acting and got behind the camera where she belongs. EGADS.
Keep in mind, there's tons of bad sequels to equally bad originals, too many to name.
The above was an example of a bad sequel to a really great movie(s)..

Worst sequel~All the Star Wars movies. Can't stand them. So boring. I fell asleep in the movie theatre. I fell asleep attempting to watch them on cable, and on regular tv. I kept trying to watch them because people yap on about them being so good.

Billy- Have a great show!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hey Billy.have a good gig mang! :)
hi y'all :)
that ULTRA RARE shirt is very cool looking
somewhat recently seen shit sequel was Terminator 3. just because it was shot like an episode, it had an episode feel, aka the smell of 'franchise' was reeking out of it. But, ah, then, well,... guess it was # 3, but it was just so obviously set up the way a tv series is done. I Didn't like getting that vibe from a movie....but then again, what can ya expect from a Hollywad ballbuster film anyway......I did h0wever enjoy watching that super high tech evil woman kicking arnolds' characters' arse!.....

sooo
it's 1:27 am here in LA and i just finished my history paper (i rue the day karl marx was born and lived to write 4 important works that revolutionized the way people think about society and economics enough to cause me to miss a Camp Freddy concert to write a paper on it). aaanyway, im sure that the show was EXCELLENT and i can't wait to hear about it and see pictures...
while i'm in such an articulate mode (not!), i just wanted to thank you billy for creating so many opportunities for us fans to see you and/or interact with you. I would have been so much more bummed to miss the benefit show if it wasn't for the fact that i've had the chance to see you and the rest of the boys in the band play, and am sure that many more opportunities are to follow. you guys deserve to perform in front of sold-out crowds night after night for all that you do!
rest easy and take care!

That show kicked major bootie!!! Billy...thanks for the moments at the end where your shirt somehow came off!! ;) Very nice!! I wasn't sure what you were pointing at on me...then I realized it was my TPC pin (i think) so if you remember that from the show, that was me =) Camp Freddy shows are always fun, because they are all the songs you love to blast and rock out to in the car and such. I thought tonights crowd was exceptionally fun though!
2 more things...
1. How HOT is Teri Nunn!?!?! On FIRE, that's how hot she is!
2. Slash on stage playing next to Dave, playing next to Jerry while Billy sings....HEAVEN!!! Pure rock n roll energy =)
That's all from me, thanks again for the great show!!

well it looks like you guys had a fantastic night, glad to know it went well.
My fav sequel's were the LOTR sequels, so well done. One of the worst was the exorcist sequel, such a huge disappointment after that masterpiece. my fav type of movies are horror movies so I usually end up watching even the bad ones. ;)
hugs,
tina
