SIN CITY....AGAIN!!

Skull_stickerIm posting this on wednesday night, because I know that tomorrow will be hectic and I wanted to give the Doheny Family a shout before I go. It's the Camp Freddy show in Vegas tomorrow. We are launching the new Chrome Hearts store in Las Vegas. And the line up looks like its going to be insane. The planes leave LA in the afternoon and take us to the Hard Rock. We soundcheck, and then go to the store opening. And then its back to the Hard Rock for a midnight onstage. I'll make sure to get some pics and give you a full report.

Psychic TV - one word - weird!! Still as weird as he ever was, Genesis now has a beautiful set of breasts, a complete set of gold teeth (also known as "Put your money where your mouth is!), and made (believe it or not!) monkey noises into the mic all night. The band were great, and the projections were as amazing as they have always been. He's done one too many hits of acid, has our Gen, but he's still the leader of Psychic TV and that in itself is reason enough to go see them. Look up your music history, buy the book, Modern Primitives, and enlarge your musical vocabulary forthwith. Here endeth the lecture.

Robert Knight shot the band a couple of nights ago and we had a blast doing it. I cant wait to see the finished results - there is one in the Doheny Pics 2 section, with us looking all smart on a leather sofa!! Kind of Soprano's meets N-Sync!! I confess the sofa thing was my idea.....do we like the vibe or not?

Anyway, my eyes feel like they are bleeding from way too much Grand Theft Auto (San Andreas is just SICK!!) so I need to get my rest. CANNOT wait to do this Key Club show with The Panic Channel - I have a feeling its going to be a great night. Let me know you are all still out there.....and lets get more family members in here. Maybe we should dream up an initiation for prospects!! OK - now I know I am done. Outta here - Peace

Billy

Billy,

Have a blast in Vegas! I do like the vibe, and I am sure the rest of the pictures will be great.

What is the deal with the dates with Lit? Please tell me they aren't until next year. I would love to come see you play with them. Lemme know.

Hiya Pony, was wondering where ppl had gotten to..and here you are. :thumbs up:

Do we like the vibe? Yes we do. Crisp and clean pics those.
I think the black smart look on the black leather sofa works well, because you can see all of you guys really well. Nothing detracting from you. Putting 5 people together in a pic like that in a good position, can't be easy...it could end up looking like a wedding photo..but you are all placed well so the pic's dynamics flow. Hey, look, it's the forced to analyse art at college thing..it's a habit..hope it helps too! :D I mean Ihad to write page son one work of art. Look out! Billy, you tattoos show up very much in the sofa pic too, since they are colourful against the black. That was intended right? Nice one!

I also like the other one, which I think has a very crisp look. What hit me first is how tall those 3 are! How tall are they all anyway?
Maybe the lines behind accentuate that?

Enjoyed reading your post Billy. I was awaiting your next installment. I know of Psychic TV, seems like ages since I heard of them. Sounds entertaining.I doubt Wales is on their agenda though. :S

Have a great time in Vegas..bring me back a Chrome Hearts pressie! ( I am being cheeky there!) and for the love of your blue with specks of green eyes stop playing that video game!!! :D
(it was blue with specks of green wasn't it? oh the confusion...)
My sister has eyes similar to yours, and they change colour quite noticeably with her moods. Do yours? mine do, but not as noticeable..hazel with green specks...lol. :D

Love Lisa xxxx

Hiya all you Doheny Dolls! :P
Really love and hugs to all the Doheny family. How are you all doing?

I feel bad now, I was only trying to cut my long post short..and wrote "those 3" That sounds rude. Much apologies to you all, I do know who you are. Very naughty of me.

Modern Primitives!! I've had that book forever! It was my 17th or 18th birthday & mom came to visit me in NYC & took me shopping on St. Mark's Place. She tried to interest me in something "normal", but ALL I wanted for my birthday was the Modern Primitives book. She wasn't happy, but she finally gave in & bought it for me.

Dusted it off & took another look through it just a month or so ago as I was packing my books. Saw Fakir Musafar on the Discovery Channel recently, too. He does branding workshops in San Francisco these days. I've never seen Genesis play. Should put that on my list of things to do.

Are you still taking questions? Dave ignored mine (wah!) on his blog, so I'll ask you the same question. Do you do any painting or drawing, or is your creativity all focused on music?

Have fun in Vegas! :)

Billy,

Not vibing on the leather couch, a bit too "clean" for 5 guys I'm counting on to bring me The Rock..just an opinion.

Also, when you CF cats are doing a private gig like the one in Vegas this evening, would it be possible to give us (the faithful) a glimpse into the guests and setlist before it's played? Kinda of keeps
us feeling special...

Thanks Billy,
Jay

Alchemy~My best friend had that book back in high school. Holy shit :O back then right? I remember reading it in school, holding it under my desk.

Billy~You are going to like this. Scott Weiland is on the front cover of Kerrnag this month, plus an interview in side, and you're mentioned! Here it is:

"The night before we meet up with Weiland, the singer was out rocking the LA nightlife at a show by Camp Freddy, the all-star jam band (put together by former Cult/Stimulator man Billy Morrison and ex-Jane's Addiction guitarist Dave Navarro) which has given everyone from Robbie Williams to actress Gina Gershon a chance to live out rock star dreams.
"last night was my first show with them," Weiland explains with a lazy gentle smile."Everyone was there: Dave Navarro,Matt Sorum,Steve Jones, Billy Duffy...Courtney Love sang. I sang David Bowie's "Young Americans", The Ramones,' "I Wanna Be Sedated", and I sang the Sex Pistols' "Bodies" with Steve Jones."

Cool huh? Now I am having a break after typing that...oh yeah..there's a tiny bit in Kerrang about Axl Rose being on the Grand Theft Auto...I'll be back later with that...

Love Lisa xxxx

Man, I'm talkative today...and where is everyone, in chat?
Really where has everyone got to past few days?

Okay, I'm back to say..

The Darkness did a sofa photoshoot, for a promo and it looked great, and it worked! So I disagree Jay.
The Darkness rock!
Sofa's are sexy dude! :)

And, The Hives are squeaky clean in suits and rock big time.

Posted by: ylais at November 4, 2004 12:34 PM

Hi ylais, I was already on my own in NYC at that time, so luckily I didn't have to hide the book under a desk in high school. I can just imagine! lol! How about the "split" guy in there?? =:O

Billy, I like the couch but [hmm...how to say this without it being taken completely wrong] there's too much clothing IMO. The black long-sleeved shirts just aren't doing it for me.

I think the second pic is best...but why is your man in the back staring at Clayden's bum?

Posted by: bobbi O at November 4, 2004 01:11 PM

Yes you do all look quite lovely....I can definitely see the boy-band quality there, but who says rock can't be beautiful!!!
(well...some do I guess...) I say, the picures look great...and I hadn't noticed the "butt-stare" before...but now its all I see when I look at that pic!!! LOL

Posted by: Abby at November 4, 2004 07:02 PM

He's not staring at Jon's butt...he's looking for spare change in the cushions. ;)
I like the pics..but then.. I consider this band far to sexy for it's own good..so I may be a bit biased.
Initiating the newbies huh?..Oh I think we can find some form of delicious torture for that.

Posted by: electric mayhem at November 4, 2004 08:45 PM

"delicious torture"....very nice EM..=)

Posted by: ZenTam at November 4, 2004 09:35 PM

"I love a man in Uniform."

delicious torture..more pics of Doheny then? :D

Posted by: ylais at November 5, 2004 03:43 AM

good god...on second look, he's almost looking at his bum in a menacing, prison love sort of way (shivers). christ, that's scary.

and i think billy needs to toughen up the young lad sitting behind him...smack him around a bit before the next shoot or something.

Boys on couches...what's not to love!!!

Hmm, thinking of a way Doheny can initiate me.....hmmmm.....

Good morning Billy...hope you had a blast in Vegas, what was your fav moment from last night?
