IT LIVES!!!
Christ, that was a rough few days! I'm feeling a lot better this morning (thanks to all the Voodoo you guys sent my way) but I'm still not 100%. Another couple of easy days and I should be back to normal. I read all the Get Well Soon stuff and thank you all. Lots of Vitamin C advice, which I listened to.....lots of 'cut down the caffeine and nicotine' advice, which I ignored!! I feel completely out of the loop, so I cant wait until next week, to get a guitar on again and start rehearsing. I've done nothing except stay in bed and watch shit TV movies!!
All the lyrics you posted were great - isn't it amazing how we are all touched by music? The right sentiment over the right arrangement and it can really take me to another place. Thats what I love about playing music - I can be a part of that.
Not a lot to report, for obvious reasons. Its all about The Key Club show right now. Thank you to everyone who posted - Jon and I will be working on doing some Doheny knit beanies for Xmas, so hopefully we can get those ready soon. And we should do another online chat soon - let me speak to the band on Monday and see if we can sort out a time and date together. Thats it from me right now - back in the land of the living, and getting better.
Peace
Billy

Billy,
One more thing on the hat project, would it be possible to include some sort of hat as well? Beanies are great for the chicks but are just not cool on dudes, somewhere south of trucker hats on the fashion totem pole...
Something like you guys had on the Beyond Good And Evil tour would be great.
Happy to see you back in business.
Thanks,
Jay

I have this funny image in my head of you and Jon sitting around the fire, knitting beanie caps....

I had exactly the same image zannebe, only they were wearing cardigans and spectacles! hahaha.
Beanies work for both genders, I believe. Didn't Rocky wear a beanie when jogging in Philadelphia? Unless that's just a wool hat ... umm ... what is a beanie anyway?!
Glad you're on the road to reovery Billy :)

Toques (for the Canadians here) or Beanies (for the Americans)are totally unisex, and can look really hot on guys...
Bring on the toques!! :-)

zannebee~funny i had the same image, Billy and Jon knitting us some hats for christmas. :)
jay~i've seen plenty of cool dudes and rock stars wearing beanies. eh? where do you live?
Billy, glad you're recovering. :) hey coffee helps me when I don't feel well.
music is my life!
I'm watching the MTV Europe Music Awards and getting a little annoyed. Nice production and setting from Rome, but it's mostly the same people as the USA awards...mostly American acts. Doesn't seem right...I'm not buying it. That more people here want to hear rap now. I don't know anyone who likes it. So weird. Franz Ferdinand and The Hives stole the show so far.
At least we got that! :D
Sulking over Linkin Park winning best rock?!! Oo nooo.
Love ya. Lisa xxxx

Still not down with the beanies, waaaay to Abercrombie.
Remember this:
Trends last a week, cool lasts forever.
Beanies for dudes fall in line with the former.

Glad you are feeling better Billy! I know I couldn't even move when I was sick a few weeks ago. Nice to rejoin the living. Anyway, I have never heard of a knit cap referred to as a beanie before I heard it here. I always thought a beanie was one of those hats with a propeller on top...I think it's a good idea because a guy or girl could wear it. That, and it gets pretty cold here, I could use a cool hat to wear so I don't look like a total moron in my heavy coat. And I guess I am a bad Philadelphian, cause I have never seen Rocky to be able to be able to say if he wore a beanie or not. I don't think I could watch Sly Stallone for more than five minutes.

Jay~forgive my ignorance here, but as I asked before..where do you live?
People always wear beanies in cold weather. Always going to.
Gets cold, you get out the beanie.
Regardless, going with classic stuff that's stylish makes sense.
And you are saying that about an "abercrombie" but;
I don't even know what an "abercrombie' s. Oo
It sounds suspiciously like Abercrombie and Fitch which sounds suspiciously preppy.
Abercrombies are cool forever? Does not compute. Well, it wouldn't because I don't know what they are.
So what are they anyway?

WHATS UP BILLY!
I am glad you are feeling better. I will have a picture for the Rouge Gallery very soon.
None of the pictures that were taken at the gig show the doheny shirt very well. But I had a few people ask me about it.
I'll wear a beanie... I have no problem with that, but I definatly say get some normal baseball caps. And most important... Make some doheny belt buckles.
