FEELING A LITTLE WASTED
I feel like I haven't posted in days, but in reality its only been two days without a post. Weird. I have been waking up earlier and getting to bed later, and the lack of sleep is making me feel a little wasted. I keep trying to get some rest but there's so much going on every day that my mind wont shut off, even when I am in bed. I work too hard, and I don't spend enough time relaxing. Add to that the thousands of cigarettes and gallons of coffee I consume each week, and its no wonder I feel like shit this morning!! Whats the answer? I am not sure. I tell myself that I'll book two weeks on a beach somewhere soon, but I dont get around to it. Maybe at Xmas, I'll get outta Dodge and go hide somewhere for a while. Or maybe not.
Its the weekend again and that means Camp Freddy Radio. I think its a full house tonight, with Donovan , Matt and myself and Dave doing half the show. And I can tell you that we will be doing an extra 'one hour special' live on Thursday Dec 2nd from the Key Club show. Indie 103.1 are setting up the technology in the VIP room at the club and we will be broadcasting for an hour after soundcheck. Listen in to the radio show tonight for more details and a chance to win VIP passes for the night.
Doheny rehearsed yesterday, and the new songs are going to be great. 'California' is ready for us to start working on vocals, as is 'Does It Really Matter' (a favourite of mine) and we wrote a new song yesterday thats kinda like a Zepp/Rage/STP riff based song. Cant wait to hear what Jon does to it. Sean started playing this cool riff, and after about five minutes of messing with it, we had 70% of a song. Thats always a good sign - when it happens that quickly, there's usually something good going on.
So by popular opinion, we are not going to do trucker hats. We will look into doing some knit beanie hats this week - see if we can find a cool company to do some black ones with a white logo on the front. Dont say we don't listen to you guys!!! And Lisa.....I use a Jim Dunlop 1mm tortoiseshell pick. They were nice enough to do me some signature ones. I have Doheny ones and Camp Freddy ones, with the band logo on one side and my signature on the other.
I'm off to go and sit on the floor in my living room - the new sofas were meant to arrive yesterday, so we called the Charity shop and had them come and take away the old one..........and the new ones didnt come!! So we have a weekend with nothing to sit on!! If my post has been a little rambling today, I apologize - I will try and get some rest this weekend and come back on Monday talking sense!!
Have a great day everyone. Oh....and check out Karen's anti drug poster in the Your Artwork 3 section - great work Karen! I love it.
Peace
Billy

What?? No sofas? Sounds like the perfect time to have a big old dance party in your living room!! PAR-TAY!
I've been in this very predicament before. Though not as comfortable to kick back and watch some tv on, kitchen chairs, in a pinch, will do the trick. :~)
Or ya know, drag the mattress off the bed.
Yay for the knit caps! Fingers crossed. Umm...can you have them done by December 2nd? Just checking.

Awww Billy, get yourself some rest! But I am glad everyone will be on CFR tonight! I'll be in the Doheny chat as usual with my cheeky monkey conspirators. Take care of yourself, Billy :)

Billy, thanks again...hey, how can I promote Doheny at my local university? Do you have an agent, there is a wonderful venue on campus, Steve miller, Modest Mouse, Atticus, a lot of other bands have played there, they have an annual Fallfest
please let me know how I can use my attention whore powers for good and not evil
I LOVE YOU!!!

hey billy, you gotta take care of yourself. You do need some rest, if you let yourself get run down then you may get really sick, and we all wouldn't want to see that happen. ;)
The toque (beanie) hats sound a winner, I know I'd definitely get one, especially since it SNOWED today. *sigh*
Billy, I have a question about that beautiful tatoo on your back. Did it take more than 1 sitting to complete? Just wondering, and i know I wonder about the oddest things at the oddest times. ;)
Have a restful Sunday and don't do anything at all.
hugs,
tina

Hey Billy! Thanks for talking to me again! I couldn't believe I got through! My phone must have crapped out cause I lost you. Stupid AT&T!! It was really cool to talk to you again though! Hopefully next time our Karen will get the pleasure of speaking with you on CFR.

Aww, feel better Billy!
I can't believe I just heard Skid Row on CF Radio. LOL! Not a bad thing, mind you. Just brings back a TON of memories.
Ylais, you have to wake up at some ungodly hour to catch the show over there, right? Like, 2-4am? Yikes!

I hope you feel better, get some rest. If I remember correctly your team has the day off tomorrow (Sunday), so you can relax too. :-)

Yep, I have to get up at 2 am, and I'm still up. I really enjoyed the show though. I liked listening to you guys just hanging out chatting in the studio.
Hope you feel better Billy.
Lots of things on there bring back tons of memories, so I was kind of giggling to myself.
Love to all xxxx Lisa
Snow eh Tina? Time to build an igloo. :D

hi Billy,
it's been a little while, no type, from me... so hey hi hello!
Listen, ya gotstaget yer chill time in. Love it, covet it, have it...of course a couch or two delivered, on time!, to kick back on would help. :)Like tina said , run yourself down and run the risk of getting sick.
curious about this bit of yer post:
-"And I can tell you that we will be doing an extra 'one hour special' live on Thursday Dec 2nd from the Key Club show. Indie 103.1 are setting up the technology in the VIP room at the club and we will be broadcasting for an hour after soundcheck."
....and I only managed to get in a bit of CF radio over the weekend so, what's going on? Will this be a tasty bit of live webcast of Doheny, and The Panic Channel for all of us "way out of towner's" to hear?
okay, coffee time ;P
take it easy

re: CFR
billy, if you manage to get adam ant as a guest for a camp freddy show, i guarantee that i will lose all self-controll and fly out to los angeles just to witness that.

I also thought I'd loose all self-control if Adam were a guest with CF; and get to that show.
Anyone in the UK see the show a week or so ago about Adam, and with Marco chatting about him, and Adam himself talking about his depression? Very interesting. I wanted to give him a hug so badly.
