CROP CIRCLES

CropcirclesGood morning everyone. Looks like those aliens have been at it again. Check out the weird crop circles photographed over the weekend. Hmmm - what does it mean, I wonder? Anyway....

To answer Jays question first - What are the days leading up to a show such as 12/02 like? Well, you are right - its definately not show up and play! Today I have two fittings for some clothes, a rehearsal and I have to go see the Rock Doc at some point. Need to get my sinuses drained - that cold left me blocked and I need to be able to sing on thursday. Tomorrow I am in The Village studio's all day and night, mixing the track we recorded last week for the Troops overseas. (I'll find out if I can drop some details about that). Wednesday, we have a Camp Freddy meeting, followed by more Doheny rehearsals. Thursday is the Doheny show and Friday is the Camp Freddy show. I also need to find some time to finish the visuals I have been working on for the Key Club show. On the day of the show, I will be at the venue for most of the day, soundchecking, working on some lighting cues, doing the extra Camp Freddy Radio broadcast etc. Hope that gives you some idea of how it goes.

Hope you all had a good weekend - I need to 'Step away from the Playstation, Mr Morrison' and get some work done!! And what about those Raiders??!! NOW they start winning? Jesus guys, why cant you do that at the beginning of the season? It was a crazy close game yesterday, but we beat Denver 25-24 with 19 seconds remaining. I dont need that kind of heart attack game, thank you very much!!

I'm going to sign off and try and get in to see my ENT guy this morning, before doing these fittings. And I'm looking forward to rehearsals this afternoon - I think we are ready to ROCK the Key Club on Thursday. Take care - have a great day, and see y'all tomorrow. I'll check with the guys at Rehearsal and get a date and time for another web chat, and I'll let you know in tomorrows post.

Peace

Billy

I'm amazed at how much you have to do yourself for the show. I know you like doing it yourself. :D

That's great that they beat the Denver Donkeys!! Did I just say that...ooops? I like any team that beats Denver. :-)

That was a great, great game last night. And winning in Denver is a bonus - they never win there.

Crop circles? Alien Takeover possibly? Doheny Man had better get into his wardrobe case and get his cape on... time to save the world!! (oh, and don't forget ur beenie Doheny Man, it's c-c-c-cold out there) ;-)

I never watch American football, and while flipping channels yesterday, I found myself stopping at the Raiders game (it had 45 seconds to go) and actually waiting to see who won... Good grief! Billy the bad influence.. lolol

Billy,

Thanks for the insight on gig preparation, my appreciation for you guys and what you go through to play for your fans is immense.

One more thing, I wasn't aware of the CF gig this Friday. When and where? Private or public? Courtney doing Sanctuary???

Thanks for the continual bringing of "the rock".

A good Monday to all,
Jay

Am I the only gross one who had to go & look up "sinus drain"? ACK!!! Sites with diagrams & everything! Good luck. That's gotta hurt a little, no? Anesthetic or not!

Having your sinuses drained sounds like a blast. Good luck with that!

I'm just hoping he doesn't post photos!!

Billy....ewwwww, sinus drainage, I do think it may prove difficult to find a host for THOSE clips!! Anyway...you sound like a consummate professional, it's cool how you take responsibility to make sure your art comes through as you want it to.

I am so sorry I am going to miss the show, but the angel I am sending has done her research well, and I am busy pimping your band. Speaking of that, where are doheny stickers to be found

Oh, ok. I'll join in the pimping. Over at my blog...

...visit Billy Morrison's blog to join in the lively discussion of him being drained of bodily fluids, and listen to some Doheny while you're there. They're rather good. Go to http://dohenymusic.typepad.com...

lolol ;)

I've been pimping Doheny everywhere I go.....

Good thinking Jez, on the Doheny stickers. That would be great.

I am longing to have my sinuses drained...what a whacky situation to be in...I want my nose fixed and my sinuses drained, and the head surgeon here is doing the usual..oh you don't really need it nonsense....even though the others say I do...I broke my nose when I was 13 playing lacrosse.

I want a "Rock Doc"!!! Waaahhh!
