hey family, I've stopped by chat a few times just in case anyone is in there, and so far I end up on my own, playing with the emoticons! :P
anyway, I am stopping by at least....

Posted by: ylais at October 21, 2004 08:56 AM

what a hummer!

damn that is one fugly lookin object!
me, I could ignore the front grill, ...or accept the front grill, get past the front grill.....if the letters on the neck spelled something a little less 'corporate'
than H U M M E R, something more like
D O H E N Y would look much better yeah!?

think Les Paul and HUMMER should get outta that bed they're in, but hey that's just my take...

thanks fer postin' the pic (of that ugly F****** thing) Billy!

Q:whose more handsome in this pic? Bill or the Les Paul hummer?

A: Bill - 1 Les Paul Hummer - 0

btw listened to the two demos you got posted. rockin! good ones! ...and now I have further laughs in connection with 'churchsign' because I didn't know of the song title used in that artwork at the time, and thought it was very funny to begin with, so added laughs on that one t'day

Posted by: skot at October 21, 2004 09:42 AM

I think I'd rather get a hummer than play a Hummer LP....

Posted by: Jay at October 21, 2004 12:23 PM

I hate Hummers.

I think people just buy them for social status, to show off how much money they have and for no other reason. I find it offensive.

Posted by: zannebee at October 21, 2004 02:37 PM

im with jay,
"I'll take a double triple odrer of 'a real hummer' please...."

and fully agree with zannebee....

and so, my other Q of the day is this: wtf!? is a company that has the american military industrial complex's finger stuck waaaay deep up its' arse doing putting its' name on a class piece of art like the Les Paul?....and what is Les Paul co. thinking?
sorry Les Paul peeps but wtf!?
this is cross-contamination, not cross-promotion.

sorry, nasty post, just too much fun to make fun of the mighty hummer and it's awesome offroad polluting prowess, and it's muscular military application.

I have only one question... does the gas milage on the LP suck as bad as the car? If so you'll be changing strings every other song. :-)

Much love... have fun in NYC.

I dunno, I kind of like it. It has that attractive ugliness to it ... like a car wreck. You look away, but you're drawn to look back at it.

Now, if Doheny were an industrial grindcore band, that guitar might fit right in. Or not ...

Billy, So if you bought the "Hummer Guitar" would you get a free guitar strap that's like a seatbelt or something to strap you into playing that thing!!!!!LOLOLOL

Very cool photo. I imagine Lou Reed is extremely cool. I think "Femme Fatale" is one of my favorite songs. And Lisa, I would love to chat with you sometime. I do pop in to see if anyone is in there, so maybe we'll meet each other in there one of these days. Well, I am going to go to sleep...Had a bad start to my day with my car tire getting flat and ruined. Time to have dreams of "Tour of Two Billys" coming into fruition...

Pleasant dreams Julia. See you in chat I hope. Would love to chat with you too.
Perhaps a few of us could arrange a good time to chat a little too?

Love

Both pics are very cool!
Have a great time in NYC!!

I love that guitar...LOL. A seatbelt guitar strap would be hilarious.

And ya know what else?? I would totally drive a Hummer if I had the money. It's not about status, it's about how much FUN it would be! Take it out for a little off-roading, drive the crap out of it and get it nice and dirty...LOL. What a blast!

Posted by: flamingheart at October 22, 2004 12:51 AM

cool pic of an ugly guitar, lol.talk about status rides..was messin around on the mercedes webpage..how bout a mercedes sl56 with a v12 engine all the options in black opal, all yours for $200,000.00 talk about insane eh

Posted by: NhMadness at October 22, 2004 02:58 AM

I have to admit, I'm up for the off-roading too. :D
Done it before, love it.

Haven't done it in a Hummer though.

Maybe Mr Navarro will one day take me out for a spin?

Yeah okay...that's my imagination.

Love you all.

That's a lot of driving, but I'm sure with my Doheny cd in the changer of the Hummer, I could handle it ;-)

This was on the official Doheny site...

You Hummer It, I'll Play It

On a lighter note . . . Doheny six-stringer Billy Morrison (off gallivanting around New York with his other outfit Camp Freddy) was treated to a tour of the Gibson Guitars outfit in New York today. Billy managed to find the only official Gibson 'Hummer' edition made.

Reports that Billy couldn't afford this SUV inspired axe and promptly commissioned a Honda Accord model to make himself feel better are grossly exaggerated and as yet unconfirmed.

LMAO! Too funny!
