PALM SPRINGS
The marvels of modern technology. I am sitting here at 9.00am on a sunny Sunday morning in Palm Springs, typing this entry on my cellphone and dodging golfballs! The back yard of the house here is on the PGA Golf course, and as we speak, three old guys wearing shorts are frantically searching the backyard for the ball that I just hid!! If you are going to play golf, STOP hitting the ball towards us!!
Went to the Inland Invasion last night to see Billy Idol, who absolutely rocked the house. Hope you are all enjoying the weekend. I'm back tomorrow - a full post then. For now, just wanted to give you all a shout out.

Thanks for the Sunday post Billy! I except to hear all about the Billy Idol concert so I can experience it vicariously. I hope those old men aren't wearing what they do in Florida (or even here in Philly)--shorts with black socks and sandals..Please Billy, when you get to that age, don't EVER wear the black sock/sandal combo. Although, we might have to resort to that on our island to avoid sand between the toes....hehe

Very funny, hiding the golf ball. :D I'm still giggling like a little kid about it.
And like Julia said please tell us about the Billy Idol. Siouxsie concert so we can live vicariously. Good way of putting it Julia.
I saw Billy Idol at least 3 times back in his White Wedding days, in NY, luckily in small venues, is he still like that? Siouxsie and The Banshess I saw once in NYC, I think at the Beacon Theatre, and they left the stage after about 20 minutes just as we were all getting into it, and I still don't know why they left.
I have a friend I went to high school with that lives in Palm Springs and plays golf, don't ask me how he ended up there at 30 something and I'm still, well not there! I'm going to tell on you! :P Just kidding. Ever notice how different you are now from friends you went to school with?

LMAO!!!! Linda, I sent that link to my boyfriend and threatened to "turn him in" if I caught him in that behavior again...lol. Fortunately, he hasn't made that mistake in a while...but it took a while for me to convince him. Even as he was scrolling down the page he was like "see, that one doesn't look bad" ugh...YES it does hee hee hee. Anyway, thanks for the link so that I could further show him the error of his ways.

Great scoop on the Morrissey thing..laughed my butt off. I agree with everyones accounts of Billy Idols shows. Saw him in 2002-ish and he still kicked ass..
Linda/Jules..you know how I feel about footwear..But I will take the hillarity of socks and sandals over you know whats..anytime.. ;)

If I didn't know better, I'd say this guy is making fun of people wearing socks with sandles (Jesus slippers as mom calls them). Surely, he's not. I mean, sometimes our feet get cold. But, it will, like, warm up during the day. And sandles are easier to put on than tennis shoes. I mean come on."
